Off-axis holograms have been constructed with a double-heterojunction (Ga, Al) As-GaAs semiconductor laser, and image reconstruction has been accomplished using a semiconductor and a He-Ne laser. The reconstructed real images were quite clear, and the signal-to-noise ratio of those images was about 10. Experiments suggest that semiconductor lasers can successfully be applied to coherent optics. 相似文献

Studies of nuclear magnetic moments and nuclear weak interactions discussed in this Conference are reviewed. The importance of configuration mixing and meson exchange currents is examined, and it is emphasized that the second order configuration mixing (tensor correlation) is essential for the understanding of these phenomena. Recent results concerning nuclear quadrupole moments reported in this Conference are also discussed. Finally, the pairing effect in metal clusters is pointed out and the importance of measuring their spins and magnetic moments is mentioned. 相似文献

Adsorption and desorption of atomic hydrogen on single-walled carbon nanotubes were observed by photoluminescence spectroscopy. A satellite peak appeared at the lower energy side of the E11 photoluminescence emission peak after exposure to atomic hydrogen and then disappeared after annealing at 300?°C in vacuum. The energy difference between the satellite peak and E11 peak was 40-80 meV, depending on the tube diameter. The satellite peak was attributed to the triplet dark exciton that became optically active because of the effectively enhanced spin-orbit interaction induced by adsorbed hydrogen atoms. 相似文献

We prove a lower bound estimate for the first non-zero eigenvalue of the Witten–Laplacian on compact Riemannian manifolds. As an application, we derive a lower bound estimate for the diameter of compact gradient shrinking Ricci solitons. Our results improve some previous estimates which were obtained by the first author and Sano (Asian J Math, to appear), and by Andrews and Ni (Comm Partial Differential Equ, to appear). Haouamines A, B, and their derivatives were synthesized via Suzuki–Miyaura coupling and three key cyclization reactions as follows: the newly developed palladium(0)-catalyzed arylative cyclization of phenylalanine-derived alkyne–aldehydes with 2-bromoarylboronic acid (an “anti-Wacker”-type cyclization); BF3 ⋅ OEt2-promoted Friedel–Crafts-type cyclization of symmetrical electron-rich aromatic rings adjacent to a tertiary allylic alcohol leading to the indeno-tetrahydropyridine skeleton; and (cyanomethyl)trimethylphosphonium iodide-mediated macrocyclization of amino alcohols to afford aza-paracyclophane precursors. The palladium-catalyzed reduction of mono- and di-triflate intermediates in the later stages enabled the alteration of both the position and number of hydroxyl groups on the C-ring. The instability of haouamine B was dramatically improved by salt formation with formic acid. An unambiguous evaluation of the cytotoxicity of the prepared haouamine derivative formates with and without hydroxyl groups at different positions on the C-ring indicated that the catechol structure in haouamine B produced weak cytotoxicity. 相似文献

We study the structural properties of the surface roughness, the surface mound size and the interfacial structure in Ni thin films vacuum-deposited on polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) organic substrates with and without the application of magnetic field and discuss its feasibility of fabricating quantum cross (QC) devices. For Ni/PEN evaporated without the magnetic field, the surface roughness decreases from 1.3 nm to 0.69 nm and the surface mound size increases from 32 nm to 80 nm with the thickness increased to 41 nm. In contrast, for Ni/PEN evaporated in the magnetic field of 360 Oe, the surface roughness tends to slightly decrease from 1.3 nm to 1.1 nm and the surface mound size shows the almost constant value of 28-30 nm with the thickness increased to 35 nm. It can be also confirmed for each sample that there is no diffusion of Ni into the PEN layer, resulting in clear Ni/PEN interface and smooth Ni surface. Therefore, these experimental results indicate that Ni/PEN films can be expected as metal/insulator hybrid materials in QC devices, leading to novel high-density memory devices. 相似文献

Electronic conductivity of molecular wires is a critical fundamental issue in molecular electronics. π‐Conjugated redox molecular wires with the superior long‐range electron‐transport ability could be constructed on a gold surface through the stepwise ligand–metal coordination method. The βd value, indicating the degree of decrease in the electron‐transfer rate constant with distance along the molecular wire between the electrode and the redox active species at the terminal of the wire, were 0.008–0.07 Å?1 and 0.002–0.004 Å?1 for molecular wires of bis(terpyridine)iron and bis(terpyridine)cobalt complex oligomers, respectively. The influences on βd by the chemical structure of molecular wires and the terminal redox units, temperature, electric field, and electrolyte concentration were clarified. The results indicate that facile sequential electron hopping between neighboring metal–complex units within the wire is responsible for the high electron‐transport ability. 相似文献
