The purpose of this article is to derive a macroscopic model for a certain class of inertial two-phase, incompressible, Newtonian fluid flow through homogenous porous media. Starting from the continuity and Navier–Stokes equations in each phase β and γ, the method of volume averaging is employed subjected to constraints that are explicitly provided to obtain the macroscopic mass and momentum balance equations. These constraints are on the length- and time-scales, as well as, on some quantities involving capillary, Weber and Reynolds numbers that define the class of two-phase flow under consideration. The resulting macroscopic momentum equation relates the phase-averaged pressure gradient to the filtration or Darcy velocity in a coupled nonlinear form explicitly given by

In these equations, and are the inertial and coupling inertial correction tensors that are functions of flow-rates. The dominant and coupling permeability tensors and and the permeability and viscous drag tensors and are intrinsic and are those defined in the conventional manner as in (Whitaker, Chem Eng Sci 49:765–780, 1994) and (Lasseux et al., Transport Porous Media 24(1):107–137, 1996). All these tensors can be determined from closure problems that are to be solved using a spatially periodic model of a porous medium. In the present research, the electro oxidation of methanol was investigated by different electrochemical methods at a carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with bis(salicylaldehyde)‐nickel(II)‐dihydrate complex (Ni(II)‐BS) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) (which named Ni(II)‐BS/RGO/CPE) in an alkaline solution. This modified electrode showed very efficient activity for oxidation of methanol. It was found that methanol was oxidized by NiOOH groups generated by further electrochemical oxidation of nickel (II) hydroxide on the surface of the modified electrode. The rate constant and electron transfer coefficient were calculated to be 2.18 s?1 and 0.4, respectively. The anodic peak currents revealed a linear dependency with the square root of scan rate. This behaviour is the characteristic of a diffusion controlled process, so the diffusion coefficient of methanol was found to be 1.16×10?5 cm2 s?1 and the number of transferred electron was calculated to be 1. Moreover, differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) investigations showed that the peak current values were proportional to the concentration of methanol in two linear ranges. The obtained linear ranges were from 0.5 to 100.0 µM (R2=0.991) and 400.0 to 1300.0 µM (R2=0.992), and the detection limit was found to be 0.19 µM for methanol determination. Generally, the Ni(II)‐BS/RGO/CPE sensor was used for determination of methanol in an industrial ethanol solution containing 4.0 % methanol.  相似文献

In a recent paper, Rolf Brandi classified all finite groups having exactly one conjugacy class of nonnormal subgroups, and conjectured thatfor a nilpotent group G of nilpotency class c = c(G) the number v(G) = vof conjugacy classes of nonnormal subgroups satisfies the inequality v(G) ≥ c(G) – 1 (with the exception of the Hamiltonian groups, of course). High output power 40 GHz 1.55 μm passively mode-locked surface-etched distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) lasers with monolithically integrated semiconductor optical amplifiers are reported. These are based on an optimized AlGaInAs/InP epitaxial structure with a three quantum well active layer and an optical trap layer. The device produces near transform limited Gaussian pulses with a pulse duration of 3.3 ps. An average output power during mode-locked operation of 130 mW was achieved with a corresponding peak power of >1 W.  相似文献

In this article, a novel (G'/G)-expansion method is proposed to search for the traveling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. We construct abundant traveling wave solutions involving parameters to the Boussinesq equation by means of the suggested method. The performance of the method is reliable and useful, and gives more general exact solutions than the existing methods. The new (G'/G)-expansion method provides not only more general forms of solutions but also cuspon, peakon, soliton, and periodic waves.  相似文献

Experimental studies and computer simulations were conducted to identify plasma operating conditions and to explore and contrast the excitation conditions of Ar, Ar-O2, and Ar-He inductively coupled plasmas (ICPs) for the introduction of microliter volumes of sample solutions with a direct injection high efficiency nebulizer (DIHEN). The best MgII 280.270 nm/MgI 285.213 nm ratio (6.6) measured with Ar ICP atomic emission spectrometry for the DIHEN (RF power = 1500 W; nebulizer gas flow rate = 0.12 L min(-1)) was less than the ratio (8.2) acquired on the same instrument for conventional nebulization (1500 W and 0.6 L min(-1)). Addition of small amounts of O2 or He (5%) to the outer gas flow improved excitation conditions in the ICP, that is, a more robust condition (a MgII/MgI ratio of up to 8.9) could be obtained by using the DIHEN with Ar-O2 and Ar-He mixed-gas plasmas, thereby minimizing some potential spectroscopic and matrix interferences, in comparison to Ar ICPAES.  相似文献

We report that magnetic multiwalled carbon nanotubes functionalized with 8-aminoquinoline can be applied to the preconcentration of Cd(II), Pb(II) and Ni(II) ions. The parameters affecting preconcentration were optimized by a Box-Behnken design through response surface methodology. Three variables (extraction time, magnetic sorbent amount, and pH value) were selected as the main factors affecting sorption, and four variables (type, volume and concentration of the eluent; elution time) were selected for optimizing elution. Following sorption and elution, the ions were quantified by FAAS. The LODs are 0.09, 0.72, and 1.0 ng mL?1 for Cd(II), Ni(II), and Pb(II) ions, respectively. The relative standard deviations are <5.1 % for five separate batch determinations at 30 ng mL?1 level of Cd(II), Ni(II), and Pb(II) ions. The sorption capacities (in mg g?1) of this new sorbent are 201 for Cd(II), 150 for Pb(II), and 172 Ni(II). The composite was successfully applied to the rapid extraction of trace quantities of heavy metal ions in fish, sediment, soil, and water samples.
