A method is presented to derive hadronic gas equation of state incorporating the effect of finite size of baryons in a thermodynamically consistent way. The model contains a more realistic picture of incorporating the effect of excluded volume unlike earlier methods. The results obtained by our calculation and those by the thermodynamically inconsistent methods used in many earlier works are compared.  相似文献

The electric field gradient (EFG) and the asymmetry parameter (η) due to transition metal impurities in the host metals Al, Cu and V are investigated. The valence EFG is formulated using dielectric screening theory in conjunction with pseudopotential theory. The size EFG is evaluated in the elastic continuum limit for a screened point charge model of the host metal. The detailed calculations are carried out forAl (Sc, Fe, Cr),Cu (Ni, Pd, Pt) andV (Ti, Cr, Fe, Nb, Ta, W) alloys.  相似文献

A.C. and d.c. electrical conductivities, thermoelectric power and dielectric constant of copper vanadate (CuV2O6) have been measured in the temperature range 300–1000 K in order to discuss the electrical conduction in the compound. The extrinsic conduction, which takes place below 500 K, has been explained by small polaron hopping mechanism while intrinsic conduction, which takes place above 500 K, has been explained by large polaron band mechanism in view of the values of activation energy and charge carrier mobility in the temperature ranges 300–500 K and 500–1000 K.  相似文献

The surface structure and properties of the HfB2(0 0 0 1) (Hafnium diboride, HfB2) surface have been investigated with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, low energy electron diffraction (LEED), and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). Annealing temperatures above 1900°C produce a sharp (1×1) LEED pattern, which corresponds to STM images showing flat (0 0 0 1) terraces with a very low contamination level separated by steps 3.4 Å in height, corresponding to the separation of adjacent Hf planes in the HfB2 bulk structure. For lower annealing temperatures, extra p(2×2) spots were observed with LEED, which correspond to intermediate terraces of a p(2×1) missing row structure as observed with STM.  相似文献

Powdered samples of Indian Natural Wolframites, (FexMn1?x) WO4 with x=0.95 to 0.41, obtained from seven different locations of two quartz-wolframite deposits of Degana and Sirohi in Rajasthan, have been investigated by Mössbauer spectroscopy down to 20K and magnetic susceptibility down to 77K. The Mössbauer spectra from 300K to 30K clearly indicate multiple sites which is at variance with the reported work. Below 50K a weak magnetic interaction with Hint~45Koe is observed. The spectra above transition temperature are resolved in three doublets and explained on the basis of reported crystal structure. The values of isomer shift, quadrupole splitting and magnetic hyperfine field have been attributed to high spin ferrous ions with octahedral symmetry. Relatively small value of Q.S. (~1.5 mm/sec. at 300K) indicate a strong contribution of the lattice term to the electric field gradient.  相似文献

Alignment of photon-induced L3 vacancies is studied in rare earth and highZ elements at energies of experimental interest, near thresholds to 60 keV, under nonrelativistic dipole approximation. Numerical calculations of the matrix element are undertaken to produce theoretical data for comparison with the experimental findings. The A2 values being s>0.1 at photoelectron energies <20 keV are certainly higher than 5–8% uncertainties quoted in experimental results. Present findings are from a very basic model, hydrogen-like and can further be treated as reference to observe the impact of screening, relativistic, multipole and retardation corrections to the model  相似文献

A self-consistent system of gravitational field with a binary mixture of perfect fluid and dark energy given by a cosmological constant has been considered in Bianchi Type-V universe. The perfect fluid is chosen to be obeying either the equation of state p=γρ with γ ε |0,1| or a van der Waals equation of state. While activites in flavor physics have been mainly focused on B-physics, those in model building have been primarily devoted to neutrino physics. The output characteristics of a high repetition rate pulsed dye laser has both short-term fluctuations and long-term drift. In high power high repetition rate lasers flow induced variations dominate over those due to other factors. In this paper it is shown by dye laser measurements that bandwidth fluctuations can be traced to the effective changes of the resonator dispersion due to fluctuations in the penetration depth of the pump beam in the dye medium. Short-term wavelength fluctuations can be traced to instantaneous deflection of the dye laser axis by the refractive index changes due to absorption of the pump beam. The fluctuations in both the bandwidth and the wavelength decreases with increasing flow rates within a laminar region. A copper vapor laser operating at 5.6 kHz repetition rate pumped the Rhodamine 6G dye laser used. The wavelength fluctuation of ±0.0035, 0.0030, 0.0004 nm and the bandwidth fluctuation of ±710, 132, 45 MHz over approx. 60 minutes were observed at 1.2, 3.7, 5.5 lpm flow rates respectively.  相似文献
