Alignment of photon-induced L3 vacancies is studied in rare earth and highZ elements at energies of experimental interest, near thresholds to 60 keV, under nonrelativistic dipole approximation. Numerical
calculations of the matrix element are undertaken to produce theoretical data for comparison with the experimental findings.
The A2 values being s>0.1 at photoelectron energies <20 keV are certainly higher than 5–8% uncertainties quoted in experimental

Temperature dependent Mössbauer measurements are done on the samples of La1–x
Ca
x
Mn1–y
57Fe
y
O3 with x=0 and 0.25, and y=0.01. With decreasing temperature, the specimen with x=0.25 shows a paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition around 175 K. In the specimen x=0.0, the temperature dependence of both the center shift () and the recoilless fraction (f) can be fitted very well with the Debye theory with a
D=320±50 K. But for the specimens with x=0.25, f and show distinct deviations from the Debye behavior in the temperature range in which the resistivity shows a sharp decrease. Dips observed in both the f and around the transition temperature suggest that the Jahn–Teller distortion observed in these systems is dynamic in nature. 相似文献

We report the generation and coherent detection of freely propagating ultrashort baseband electromagnetic pulses. Using optical rectification in ?110? GaAs for wideband emission and electro-optic sampling in a poled polymer for wideband detection, we demonstrate spectral sensitivity that extends from the far infrared (lambda~100 mum) to ~33 THz(lambda = 9 mum) . Over a band of nearly 20 THz, a relatively flat frequency response is observed. We discuss issues that limit the response bandwidth. 相似文献

Conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy (CEMS) has been used to study tin oxide films prepared by sol-gel dipping and sputtering. The spectra of films prepared by sol-gel route result close to that of crystalline SnO2 after heat treatment at a temperature as low as 150°C. The Mössbauer parameters of as sputter deposited films indicate that the structure of the deposited stannic oxide has an amorphous character more pronounced for thinner samples. The structure becomes predominantly that of crystalline SnO2 by heating at 550°C for 30 min provided the film thickness is higher than 10 nm. 相似文献

Super crystallization of ligand‐capped nanocrystals into defined periodic solids from solution is the definitive demonstration of their self‐organizing properties. To date, this has been mainly limited to spherical nanocrystals where organization emulates atom or molecule packing in regular crystals with the most thermodynamically stable arrangement being eventually preferred. Here, the crystallization of wurtzite CdS nanorods into micrometer‐sized CdS superstructures with regular hexagonal symmetry is demonstrated by fine‐tuning the nanorod dispersibility over time. It is shown that the supercrystals have a long nucleation stage to form monolayer hexagons followed by a relatively faster growth stage both occurring rod by rod (in‐plane) and layer by layer (out of plane). The perfectly symmetrical hexagon shape of the final structure is mapped from the wurtzite crystal structure of each individual nanorod where they pack in side by side and end to end arrangements. These well‐defined superstructures are highly attractive for applications that collectively exploit electronic or optical properties that are synthetically tunable through the size and shape of each nanorod building block. 相似文献

In this paper, 10 Gbps optical soliton transmission link using in-line semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) for already installed standard single mode fibers (SMF) at 1.3 μm wavelength has been reported. The pattern effect and the impact of chirp on pulse propagation after amplification have been investigated. The observations are based on modeling and simulation optical soliton transmission link. Pre-scission and post-scission multiplicities of neutrons and alpha particles have been simultaneously measured for the fission-like reactions of 340 MeV 28Si on 232Th. Dynamical model calculations using HICOL code predict that about 90% of the observed events are of quasi-fission type while the remaining 10% are from compound nucleus fission decay. Moving source fits were carried out to the observed neutron and alpha particle spectra, measured at different angles with respect to the fragment directions. The pre-scission and post-scission neutron multiplicities are deduced to be 8.7±2.0 and 9.4±2.0, respectively. The corresponding multiplicity values for alpha particles are found to be 0.22±0.08 and 0.1±0.03. From the measured post-scission neutron multiplicity, it is inferred that about 65±20 MeV of the initial excitation energy remains at scission. This may be compared to the value of 85±30 MeV estimated from PACE2 statistical model calculations, adjusted to reproduce the measured pre-scission neutron multiplicity. From a comparison of the Statistical Model predictions with the measured pre-scission neutron multiplicity, the fission delay is estimated to be of 5+7−3×10−20 s which overlaps with the average duration of fission-like process from the contact to the scission point (2×10−20 s) as determined from HICOL-based dynamical calculations. For the delay time deduced as above, the pre-scission alpha particle multiplicity calculated by the PACE2 code is about a factor two larger than the experimental one, demonstrating the difficulties in modelling the alpha particle emission from highly elongated shapes that characterize the fissioning system from the contact point to scission. 相似文献
