Aqueous colloidal manganese dioxide (MnO2) was prepared via titration by using potassium permanganate and sodium thiosulphate in aqueous neutral medium. The kinetics of oxidation of d-glucose onto the surface of colloidal MnO2 have been studied spectrophotometrically. The results show that the rate of initial stage (nonautocatalytic path) increases with increasing the [d-glucose], [H+], and temperature and also upon addition of nonionic surfactant Triton X-100 (TX-100), which indicates that the surfactant enhances the concentration of d-glucose at the surface of the colloidal MnO2. Hydrogen bonding interaction seemingly arises between –OH groups of d-glucose and oxygen of the ether linkages of polyoxyethylene chain of TX-100. A possible mechanism of the oxidative degradation of d-glucose is discussed in terms of d-glucose/TX-100 and colloidal MnO2 interaction.  相似文献

In the present paper, reaction of zinc‐glycylphenylalanine ([Zn(II)‐Gly‐Phe]+) with ninhydrin has been investigated in gemini (m‐s‐m type; m = 16, s = 4–6) surfactants at temperature (70 °C) and pH (5.0). Monitoring the appearance of product at 400 nm was used to follow the kinetics, spectrophotometrically. The order of the reaction with respect to [Zn(II)‐Gly‐Phe]+ was unity while with respect to [ninhydrin] was fractional. The reaction constants involved in the mechanism were obtained. In addition to the rate constant (kΨ) increase and leveling‐off regions are observed with the geminis, just like as seen with conventional surfactant hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), the former produced a third region of increasing kΨ at higher concentrations. A close agreement between observed and calculated rate constants was found under varying experimental conditions. A suitable mechanism consistent with the experimental findings has been proposed. Synthesis of symmetrical substituted 2,5‐diamino‐1,3,4‐thiadiazoles is described. Reaction of easily prepared dithiocarbamates with hydrazine gives the corresponding thiadiazoles in moderate to good yields. This method is new, efficient, and simple especially in the work‐up procedure.  相似文献

The optical characteristics of biological tissues sampled from the anterior abdominal wall of laboratory rats are for the first time experimentally studied in a wide wavelength range (350-2500 nm). The experiments have been performed in vitro using a LAMBDA 950 (PerkinElmer, United States) spectrophotometer. Inverse Monte Carlo simulation is used to restore the spectral dependences for scattering and absorption coefficients, as well as the scattering anisotropy factor for biological tissue based on the recorded spectra of diffuse reflection and total and collimated transmissions.  相似文献

A magnetically recoverable biopolymer-based nanocatalyst was prepared through the covalent immobilization of a chitosan-bound 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde Pd complex on the surface of superparamagnetic nanoparticles. The nanocatalyst was characterized by FTIR, X-ray powder diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, revealing an average particle size of 70 nm. The catalyst shows high thermostability by thermogravimetric analysis. Estimated Pd loading by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission analysis was found to be 0.348 mmol g?1. The nanocatalyst exhibits excellent catalytic performance in Suzuki couplings of various aryl halides with phenylboronic acid, and Heck reactions of iodo- and bromoarenes with butylacrylate. The catalyst can be easily separated from the reaction mixture with an external magnet and reused consecutively four times without significant loss in activity.  相似文献

We present a quantum CNOT logic gate based on interaction of a three-level cesium atom with a two-mode electromagnetic field in a high-Q superconducting cavity. The three-level atom acts as a control qubit and the two-mode electromagnetic field serves as a target qubit. Presently available QED experiments make it feasible to realize the theoretical suggestion in the laboratory. We determine the feasibility of our proposal by calculating the fidelity.  相似文献

The effect of cationic micelles of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) on the kinetics of interaction of copper dipeptide complex [Cu(II)‐Gly‐Gly]+ with ninhydrin has been studied spectrophotometrically at 70°C and pH 5.0. The reaction follows first‐ and fractional‐order kinetics, respectively, in complex and ninhydrin. The reaction is catalyzed by CTAB micelles, and the maximum rate enhancement is about twofold. The results obtained in the micellar medium are treated quantitatively in terms of the kinetic pseudophase and Piszkiewicz models. The rate constants (kobs or kΨ), micellar‐binding constants (kS for [Cu(II)‐Gly‐Gly]+, kN for ninhydrin), and index of cooperativity (n) have been evaluated. A mechanism is proposed in accordance with the experimental results. The influence of different inorganic (NaCl, NaBr, Na2SO4) and organic (NaBenz, NaSal) salts on the reaction rate has also been seen, and it is found that tightly bound/incorporated counterions are the most effective. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Porphyrin‐based non‐fullerene acceptors (NFAs) have shown pronounced potential for assembling low‐bandgap materials with near‐infrared (NIR) characteristics. Herein, panchromatic‐type porphyrin‐based molecules (POR1–POR5) are proposed by modulating end‐capped acceptors of a highly efficient porphyrin‐based NFA PORTFIC(POR) for organic solar cells (OSCs). Quantum chemical structure‐property relationship has been studied to discover photovoltaic and optoelectronic characteristics of POR1–POR5. Results show that optoelectronic properties of the POR1–POR5 are better in all aspects when compared with the reference POR. All proposed NFAs particularly POR5 proved to be the preferable porphyrin‐based NIR sensitive NFA for OSCs applications owing to lower energy gap (1.56 eV), transition energy (1.11 eV), binding energy (Eb =0.986 eV), electron mobility (λe=0.007013Eh ), hole mobility (λh =0.004686 Eh), high λmax =1116.27 nm and open‐circuit voltage (Voc =1.96 V) values in contrast to the reference POR and other proposed NFAs. This quantum chemical insight provides sufficient evidence about excellent potential of the proposed porphyrin‐based NIR sensitive NFA derivatives for their use in OSCs.  相似文献
