We present a simple, novel procedure to selectively deposit gold nanoparticles using pure water. It enables patterning of nanoparticle monolayers with a remarkably high degree of selectivity on flat as well as microstructured oxide surfaces. We demonstrate that water molecules form a thin "capping" layer on exposed thiol molecules within the mercaptan self-assembled layer. This reversible capping of water molecules locally "deactivates" the thiol groups, therewith inhibiting the binding of metallic gold nanoparticles to these specific areas. This amazing role of water molecules can be used as a tool to pattern flat as well as structured surfaces with gold nanoparticles.  相似文献

The current study examines the special class of a generalized reaction-advection-diffusion dynamical model that is called the system of coupled Burger's equations. This system plays a vital role in the essential areas of physics, including fluid dynamics and acoustics. Moreover, two promising analytical integration schemes are employed for the study; in addition to the deployment of an efficient variant of the eminent Adomian decomposition method. Three sets of analytical wave solutions are revealed, including exponential, periodic, and dark-singular wave solutions; while an amazed rapidly convergent approximate solution is acquired on the other hand. At the end, certain graphical illustrations and tables are provided to support the reported analytical and numerical results. No doubt, the present study is set to bridge the existing gap between the analytical and numerical approaches with regard to the solution validity of various models of mathematical physics.  相似文献

We consider the problem of spatiotemporal sampling in which an initial state of an evolution process is to be recovered from a set of samples at different time levels. We are particularly interested in lossless trade-off between spatial and temporal samples. We show that for a special class of signals it is possible to recover the initial state using a reduced number of measuring devices activated more frequently. We present several algorithms for this kind of recovery and describe their robustness to noise.  相似文献

Water-soluble colloidal manganese dioxide has been used to oxidize l-tyrosine in aqueous-acidic medium. The kinetics of the reaction was studied in the absence and presence of non-ionic surfactant (TX-100) using a spectrophotometric technique. As the reaction was fast under pseudo-first-order conditions ([l-tyrosine]  [MnO2]), the rate constants as a function of [l-tyrosine], [MnO2], [HClO4] and temperature were obtained under second-order conditions. The rate of the reaction increased and decreased with the increase in [l-tyrosine] and [MnO2], respectively. Perchloric acid, sodium pyrophosphate and sodium fluoride showed catalytic effect. The effect of externally added manganese(II) sulphate is complex. It is not possible to predict the exact dependence of the rate constants on manganese(II) concentration, which has a series of reactions with other reactants. The reaction is inhibited by the non-ionic surfactant TX-100. Activation parameters have been evaluated using Arrhenius and Eyring equations. Based on observed kinetic results, a probable mechanism for the reaction has been proposed which corresponds to fast adsorption of the reductant and hydrogen ion on the surface of colloidal MnO2 followed by one-step two-electron transfer rate limiting process.  相似文献

Peristaltic pumping of Sisko fluid through the non-uniform asymmetric channel is addressed. Main motivations are given to nonlinear radiation and inclined magnetic field. The perturbation technique and lubrication approach are utilized for development of governing problems and solutions. Resulting equations are solved for velocity, temperature, pressure and stream function. Trapping phenomenon is also observed. Variation of pertinent parameters is plotted and illustrated physically. The larger inclination of the magnetic field leads to a rise in velocity. Moreover, the size of trapping bolus tends to reduce and finally disappears for the larger fluid parameter. To our knowledge, such attempt for linear radiation and without inclined magnetic field does not exist even for both symmetric and asymmetric channels. Further it should be noted that problem remains nonlinear even after utilizing long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions.

Partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) has been widely used for water shut-off and profile control to enhance oil recovery. Herein, we reported a novel technique by which the crosslinking between HPAM and Cr3+ in aqueous solutions at 60 ℃ can be delayed effectively. Citric acid was selected as an organic complexing agent of Cr3+ so that the crosslinking between HPAM and Cr3+ can be prevented completely. Due to the decomposition of the bicarbonate (HCO3-) embedded in solution, CO2 released from solution and the pH value of solution increased gradually. The degree of ionization of HPAM and its ability to complex with Cr3+ increased accordingly. When the complexation of Cr3+ with HPAM is stronger than that with citric acid, the viscosity of the HPAM solution increased significantly. Under the closed condition, together with the existence of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4), the release of CO2 was very slow and the condition was highly controlled so that the ionization of HPAM was prevented initially. Furthermore, the hydrogen bonding interactions between HPAM and melamine embedded in solution previously also postponed the ionization of HPAM. As a result, the crosslinking between HPAM and Cr3+ can be delayed for almost one month, completely meeting the requirements for deep water shut-off and profile control to enhance oil recovery.  相似文献

In this paper, analytical approximate solutions for time-fractional Kudryashov–Sinelshchikov equation have been obtained. Two different techniques have been implemented to calculate the solutions, namely, homotopy analysis method and residual power series method. The approximate solutions are represented numerically and graphically for different values of fractional order of derivative. The numerical results are expressed in Tables 1, 2, 3 and 4 which show that the approximate solutions are in good agreement with the exact solution. The comparative study of the numerical results reveal that both methods are reliable and effective tools for the solution of time-fractional Kudryashov–Sinelshchikov equation.  相似文献
