Synthesis of New Pyrazolo[1.5.4-de]quinoxalines

New pyrazolo[1.5.4-de]quinoxaline derivatives were prepared by the action of 7-aminoindazole 1 on diethyl and dimethyl acetylene dicarboxylates. The structures of the obtained compounds and the direction of cyclization were investigated through a crystallographic study of compound 2. Further alkylation, hydrogenation, and bromination were also explored. The action of potassium thiocyanate on the obtained halo product led to a tetracyclic compound of 1.3-thiazolo[3.4-a]pyrazolo[1.5.4-de]quinoxaline series.     

Random Poly(Lactic Acid-co-β-Alanine): Synthesis and Characterizations

A series of random polyesteramides (PEAs) within a range of molar composition from 90/10 to 10/90 were synthesized by a direct melt polycondensation of lactic acid and β-alanine. Their structures were fully characterized by NMR spectroscopy. The resulting copolymers are amorphous; they are thermally stable to temperatures up to 254°C, and present increasing glass transition temperatures at increasing amide content. The copolymers were also characterized by FTIR and viscosimetry measurements.     

Electrical Impedance Spectroscopic Study of CNT/Ethylene-alt-CO/Propylene-alt-CO Polyketones Nanocomposite

Impedance spectroscopy was utilized to investigate the dielectric properties, ac conductivity and charge transport mechanisms in propylene-alt-CO/ethylene-alt-CO (EPEC) random terpolymer filled with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) as a function of nanofiller content, frequency, and temperature. Equivalent resistor-capacitor (RC) circuit models were proposed to describe the impedance characteristics of the unfilled terpolymer and the nanocomposite at different temperatures. For the nanocomposites, the ac conductivity tended to be frequency independent at low frequencies. At high frequencies, the ac conductivity increased with frequency. The dc conductivity (i.e., plateau of the ac conductivity at low frequencies) at room temperature increased from 10^?9 (Ω·m)^?1 for the unfilled polymer to l0^?3 (Ω·m)^?1 for the 6 wt% MWCNT/EPEC nanocomposite. At low temperatures, the equivalent RC model for EPEC-0 and EPEC-2 was found to consist of a parallel RC circuit. However, for 6 wt% MWCNT/EPEC nanocomposite, an RC model consisting of an R/constant phase element (CPE) circuit and a resistor in series was required to describe the impedance behavior of the nanocomposite.     

Etude Des Propriétés Physico-Chimiques De ZnRb 4 (P 3 O 9 ) 2 ·6H 2 O

The dehydration of ZnRb 4 (P 3 O 9 ) 2 ·;6H 2 O was investigated, between 25 and 600°;C, by TG-DTA, X-ray diffraction, IR. It leads, between 300 and 500°;C, to a mixture of long chain polyphosphates RbPO 3 and ZnRb 2 (PO 3 ) 4 which stays stable until its melting point. The IR (1400-30 cm m 1 ) and Raman spectra (1400-100 cm m 1 ) of ZnRb 4 (P 3 O 9 ) 2 ·;6H 2 O are reported and assignments of fundamental modes proposed and compared with theoretical results obtained via the MNDO method for P 3 O 9 ring with C s symmetry. (La déshydratation, sous pression atmosphérique, du cyclotriphosphate ZnRb 4 (P 3 O 9 ) 2 ·;6H 2 O, a ét´;e effectuée, entre 25 and 600°;C, par spectrométrie IR, diffraction des rayons X, ATG et ATD. Elle conduit, entre 300 and 500°;C, au mélange de polyphosphates RbPO 3 et ZnRb 2 (PO 3 ) 4 qui reste stable jusqu'à la fusion. Les spectres vibrationnels IR (1400-30 cm m 1 ) et Raman (1400-100 cm m 1 ) du sel étudié ont été interprétés dans le domaine des vibrations de valence et de déformation du cycle P 3 O 9 et comparés avec les résultats des calculs théoriques par la méthode MNDO pour un cycle isolé de symétrie C s .)     

The Carbenic Insertion into the P-P Bond

Abstract

The cycloaddition reactions on Phosphorus Chemistry¹ has allowed a new development of the three membered ring organophosphorus compounds. Starting from functionulized diphosphiranes obtained by action of carbenes on diphosphenes, we have studied their ring opening reactions leading to carbon insertion into P-P bond.     

Phosphorus ozonides adducts

Abstract

Ozone reacts quantitatively on tricoordinated and dicoordinated Phosphorus Compounds. The oxidative addition of ozone on phosphites leads to pentacoordinated or hexacoordinated phosphorus adducts. These adducts are unstable in solution. The decomposition gives the corresponding phosphoric ester with singlet oxygen evolution. In the same conditions, ozone reacts on diphosphene and gives after double bond rupture an adduct: the metaphosphonate. The relative stabilities and oxidative properties are discussed.
