The fundamental understanding of the behavior of a solid is intimately related to the understanding of the interactions on the surface of the latter, a major challenge in particular if the material is natural and ecological. The infinite dilution-inverse gas chromatography was used to evaluate the surface thermodynamic properties of several phases (grafted and/or coated) diatomite. A series of non- or polar-solute probes were injected at temperatures of 45?°C and 90?°C. The dispersive surface free energies values of the supports decrease with increasing temperature and their active surface is amphoteric with predominantly acidic character.  相似文献

Excitation functions for a number of proton groups for the reactions 23Na(d, p)24Na and 27Al(d, p)28Al were measured in the energy range Ed = 1.5 to 3.0 MeV. The angular distributions for a number of proton groups were measured at a number of deuteron energies below 3.0 MeV for the three reactions 12C(d, p)13C, 23Na(d, p)24Na and 27Al(d, p)28Al. The theory of deuteron stripping reactions at incident energies below the Coulomb barrier has been considered. A closed analytical form for the differential cross-section has been obtained considering three cases according to the incident deuteron and outgoing proton energies. An attempt has been made to fit the angular distribution measurements at a number of deuterons bombarding energies accordingly.  相似文献

The photodissociation dynamics of iodocyclohexane (C6H11I) at 266 and 277 nm has been investigated by ion velocity imaging technique. The velocity distributions, angular distributions and relative quantum yields are obtained for I (2P3/2) (denoted I) and I (2P1/2) (denoted I*) fragments. The energy partitioning shows that about 70% of the available energy goes into the internal excitation of the photofragments for both dissociation channels. From the angular distributions, we found the value of the anisotropy parameter β for I* at the corresponding excitation wavelength was less than that for I. Based on the measured angular distributions and relative quantum yields, the relative fractions of each excited state to the products are determined. The curve crossing probabilities between the 3Q0 and 1Q1 states are determined 0.503 at 266 nm and 0.443 at 277 nm.  相似文献

In this paper, a decision support tool that automates crew recovery during irregular operations for large-scale commercial airlines is presented. The tool is designed for airlines that adopt the hub-spoke network stru cture. The advance of this tool over the existing ones is that it recovers projected crew problems that arise due to current system disruptions. In other words, it proactively recovers crew problems ahead of time before their occurrence. In addition, it gives a wide flexibility to react to different operation scenarios. Also, it solves for the most efficient crew recovery plan with the least deviation from the originally planned schedule. The tool adopts a rolling approach in which a sequence of optimization assignment problems is solved such that it recovers flights in chronological order of their departure times. In each assignment problem, the objective is to recover as many flights as possible while minimizing total system cost resulting from resource reassignments and flight delays. The output of this tool is in the form of new crew trippairs that cover flights in the considered horizon. A test case is presented to illustrate the model capabilities to solve a real-life problem for one of the major commercial airlines in the U.S.  相似文献

This paper considers the following inverse optimization problem: given a linear program, a desired optimal objective value, and a set of feasible cost vectors, determine a cost vector such that the corresponding optimal objective value of the linear program is closest to the desired value. The above problem, referred here as the inverse optimal value problem, is significantly different from standard inverse optimization problems that involve determining a cost vector for a linear program such that a pre-specified solution vector is optimal. In this paper, we show that the inverse optimal value problem is NP-hard in general. We identify conditions under which the problem reduces to a concave maximization or a concave minimization problem. We provide sufficient conditions under which the associated concave minimization problem and, correspondingly, the inverse optimal value problem is polynomially solvable. For the case when the set of feasible cost vectors is polyhedral, we describe an algorithm for the inverse optimal value problem based on solving linear and bilinear programming problems. Novel Al-doped ZnO (AZO) photocatalysts with different Al concentrations (0.5–6.0 mol%) were prepared through a facile combustion method and followed by calcination at 500 °C for 3 h. The obtained nanopowders were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) combined with EDX, transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), UV–vis spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The XRD patterns of AZO nanopowders were assigned to wurtzite structure of ZnO with the smallest crystallite size about 11 nm consistent with the results from TEM. The doping of Al in ZnO crystal structure successfully suppressed the growth of ZnO nanoparticles confirmed by XRD patterns. The absorption spectra analysis showed that the optical band gap energy (Eg) for the AZO nanopowders were in the range of 3.12–3.21 eV and decreased with increasing of Al dopant. The photocatalytic activities of the samples were evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange under visible light (λ ≥ 420 nm) and sunlight irradiation. The results showed that the AZO photocatalyst doped with 4.0 mol% Al exhibited five times enhanced photocatalytic activity compared to pure ZnO. The enhanced photocatalytic activity could be attributed to extended visible light absorption, inhibition of the electron–hole pair's recombination and enhanced adsorptivity of MO dye molecule on the surface of AZO nanopowders.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the extension of the notion of well-posedness by perturbations, introduced by Zolezzi for optimization problems, to other related variational problems like inclusion problems and fixed-point problems. Then, we study the conditions under which there is equivalence of the well-posedness in the above sense between different problems. Relations with the so-called diagonal well-posedness are also given. Finally, an application to staircase iteration methods is presented.  相似文献

We develop eight different mixed-integer convex programming reformulations of 0-1 hyperbolic programs. We obtain analytical results on the relative tightness of these formulations and propose a branch and bound algorithm for 0-1 hyperbolic programs. The main feature of the algorithm is that it reformulates the problem at every node of the search tree. We demonstrate that this algorithm has a superior convergence behavior than directly solving the relaxation derived at the root node. The algorithm is used to solve a discrete p-choice facility location problem for locating ten restaurants in the city of Edmonton.The research was supported in part by NSF awards DMII 95-02722 and BES 98-73586 to NVS.  相似文献
