Honey is a natural product that is considered globally one of the most widely important foods. Various studies on authenticity detection of honey have been fulfilled using visible and near-infrared (Vis-NIR) spectroscopy techniques. However, there are limited studies on stingless bee honey (SBH) despite the increase of market demand for this food product. The objective of this work was to present the potential of Vis-NIR absorbance spectroscopy for profiling, classifying, and quantifying the adulterated SBH. The SBH sample was mixed with various percentages (10–90%) of adulterants, including distilled water, apple cider vinegar, and high fructose syrup. The results showed that the region at 400–1100 nm that is related to the color and water properties of the samples was effective to discriminate and quantify the adulterated SBH. By applying the principal component analysis (PCA) on adulterants and honey samples, the PCA score plot revealed the classification of the adulterants and adulterated SBHs. A partial least squares regression (PLSR) model was developed to quantify the contamination level in the SBH samples. The general PLSR model with the highest coefficient of determination and lowest root means square error of cross-validation ( and ) was acquired. The aquaphotomics analysis of adulteration in SBH with the three adulterants utilizing the short-wavelength NIR region (800–1100 nm) was presented. The structural changes of SBH due to adulteration were described in terms of the changes in the water molecular matrix, and the aquagrams were used to visualize the results. It was revealed that the integration of NIR spectroscopy with aquaphotomics could be used to detect the water molecular structures in the adulterated SBH. 相似文献

The computational reckoning of 2-Chloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid (2CP4CA) was accomplished employing DFT/B3LYP with the root set as 6–311++G(d, p). The impact of polar protic solvents which are eco-friendly solvents (water, methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol) on 2CP4CA were analysed. To examine the solvent effect, vibrational investigations and NLO reports of 2CP4CA in dissimilar solvents were executed. Geometrical properties were also established in gas phase for 2CP4CA. Exercising VEDA program, the entire vibrational assignment was accomplished. Donor-acceptor exchanges were ascertained utilizing NBO scrutiny technique. Thermodynamic properties of 2CP4CA were analysed at different temperatures. By applying TD - DFT approach, theoretic UV–Vis absorption spectrum was procured in different solvents. In order to evaluate the complete electron concentration and sensitive spots of 2CP4CA, MEP coupled with FMO analyses were employed. HOMO along with LUMO orbitals and energy band gap were acquired for 2CP4CA employing dissimilar polar protic solvents. Additionally, ELF, LOL and charge transfer studies were also executed. The threat of phenol contamination in aquatic ecosystems is significant for the health of the earth's water systems as well as all humans on it. The present study was conducted to synthesize a cost-effective adsorbent (pea shells activated with sulfuric acid, PSASA) from agriculture waste (pea shells) and its use for effective removal of toxic 4-Aminophenol (4-AP). Newly designed PSASA exhibited significant adsorption of 4-AP which was confirmed by SEM, FT-IR, and XRD analysis. Surface topography confirmed high unevenness of the PSASA surface and the macroporous feature of the PSASA was confirmed by BET analysis. . Multiple testing was done to see how various factors affected adsorption such as adsorbent dose, temperature, pH, PZC, the effect of KCl and urea addition and the effect of the initial concentration of 4-AP. A drop in adsorption uptake of 4-AP was observed as the temperature increases from 25 °C to 45 °C. Maximum adsorption uptake (qm) was found to be 106.11 mg/g at an optimum pH of 7.0 and 25 °C. Among various adsorption isotherm models tested, Langmuir Isotherm gave the best explanation with high R2 values of experimental data. The pseudo-first-order model was found to explain the kinetics of adsorption well. The thermodynamic finding confirms the adsorption process was physical and exothermic. The adsorption of 4-AP was primarily governed by electrostatic interaction, hydrogen-bonding and π-π exchange mechanism. Because of the positive outcomes of the present research, we can use the PSASA as a cost-effective adsorbent for removing phenolic compounds. 相似文献

A novel and rapid ultrasound‐ and salt‐assisted liquid–liquid extraction coupled with high‐performance liquid chromatography has been optimized by response surface methodology for the determination of oleuropein from olive leaves. Box–Behnken design was used for optimizing the main parameters including ultrasound time (A), pH (B), salt concentration (C), and volume of miscible organic solvent (D). In this technique, a mixture of plant sample and extraction solvent was subjected to ultrasound waves. After ultrasound‐assisted extraction, phase separation was performed by the addition of salt to the liquid phase. The optimal conditions for the highest extraction yield of oleuropein were ultrasound time, 30 min; volume of organic solvent, 2.5 mL; salt concentration, 25% w/v; and sample pH, 4. Experimental data were fitted with a quadratic model. Analysis of variance results show that BC interaction, A2, B2, C2, and D2 are significant model terms. Unlike the conventional extraction methods for plant extracts, no evaporation and reconstitution operations were needed in the proposed technique. 相似文献

A series of chelating reagents, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(2-fluorobenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(3-fluorobenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone and 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(4-fluorobenzoyl)-5-pyrazolone, has been synthesized. The extraction of Ln(III), (Ln = La, Eu and Lu) into chloroform with these reagents at 30 +/- 1 degrees has been studied. The composition of the complexes extracted has been determined by the slope method, and the extraction constants K(ex), were measured. Core-shell composite polymer particles having temperature-sensitive shell were prepared by seeded emulsion copolymerization of dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDM) with 0.14 μ-sized polystyrene seed particles according to our previous article. In this article, the effects of crosslinking density and thickness of the shell on the temperature-sensitive property were studied. Two series of composite particles, one with various EGDM contents in the shell and the other with various shell contents, were prepared for this study. The composite particles at the EGDM content of 3 wt % with the shell content of 47 wt %, showed the maximum swelling and deswelling phenomena at temperatures, respectively, below and above the lower critical solution temperature. The adsorption and desorption behaviors of low molecular weight cationic emulsifier and bio-molecules were dependent on the shell content. In almost all cases, the adsorption/desorption behavior reached to the maximum variations at the shell content of 17 wt %. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献
