The magnetic properties of a mixed spin ferrimagnetic system σ?=?1/2 and S?=?2 at the sites of a square lattice with a random crystal field are studied by the mean field approximation. The ground state of the system is determined and the total magnetization is plotted according to the model parameters. Different behaviors for the thermal dependence of the magnetization are highlighted. In particular, one sees the appearance of one or two compensating points and many types of phase diagrams with first and second order phase transition lines as well as isolated critical and tricritical points.  相似文献

Repeated and controlled immersion calorimetry experiments were performed to determine the specific surface area and pore‐size distribution (PSD) of a well‐characterized, microporous poly(furfuryl alcohol)‐based activated carbon. The PSD derived from nitrogen gas adsorption indicated a narrow distribution centered at 0.57±0.05 nm. Immersion into liquids of increasing molecular sizes ranging from 0.33 nm (dichloromethane) to 0.70 nm (α‐pinene) showed a decreasing enthalpy of immersion at a critical probe size (0.43–0.48 nm), followed by an increase at 0.48–0.56 nm, and a second decrease at 0.56–0.60 nm. This maximum has not been reported previously. After consideration of possible reasons for this new observation, it is concluded that the effect arises from molecular packing inside the micropores, interpreted in terms of 2D packing. The immersion enthalpy PSD was consistent with that from quenched solid density functional theory (QSDFT) analysis of the nitrogen adsorption isotherm.  相似文献

Malaria is one of the most important infectious diseases worldwide. The causative of the most severe forms of malaria, Plasmodium falciparum, has developed resistances against all the available antimalarial drugs. In the present study, the phytochemical investigation of the green seaweed Halimeda macroloba has afforded two new compounds 1–2, along with 4 known ones 3–6. The structures of the compounds had been confirmed using 1& 2D-NMR and HRESIMS analyses. Extensive machine-learning-supported virtual-screening suggested cytochrome-C enzyme as a potential target for compound 2. Docking, absolute-binding-free-energy (ΔGbinding) and molecular-dynamics-simulation (MDS) of compound 2 revealed the strong binding interaction of this compound with cytochrome-C. In vitro testing for crude extract and isolated compounds revealed the potential in vitro inhibitory activity of both extract and compound 2 against P. falciparum. The crude extract was able to inhibit the parasite growth with an IC50 value of 1.8 ± 0.35 µg/mL. Compound 2 also showed good inhibitory activity with an IC50 value of 3.2 ± 0.23 µg/mL. Meanwhile, compound 6 showed moderate inhibitory activity with an IC50 value of 19.3 ± 0.51 µg/mL. Accordingly, the scaffold of compound 2 can be considered as a good lead compound for the future development of new antimalarial agents.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to inactivate Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212 present in dairy wastewater effluent using microwave (MW) waves and/or ultrasound waves (US). The ultrasonic bath treatment (35 kHz) had no significant effect on the reduction of the survival rate (predominant declumping effect). At 650 W of microwave treatment, the total destruction was completed at 75 s, while at 350 W a 3 log reduction was achieved. The Weibull model was fitted to the survival curves to describe the inactivation kinetics, and the effect of the combined microwave-ultrasound treatments was evaluated. The scaling parameter α that was estimated from the inactivation kinetics for the microwaves combined with the ultrasound waves in pre-treatment was found to be lower than the scaling parameters obtained in post-treatment, which were in turn lower than those estimated for microwaves or ultrasound waves alone. The use of the ultrasound waves in pre-treatment was more effective than in post-treatment; a total reduction was achieved using a combination of US (30 min) followed by MW (650 W) with α = 28.3 s, while 4.0 log was obtained by reversing all processes with α = 34.5 s. The results from the protein assays indicate that the bacterial wall was damaged and that holes were formed from which protein leakage occurred.  相似文献

Several N‐(substituted phenyl) citraconimides containing phenolic hydroxyl groups (I) were prepared. I were esterified with acryloyl chloride producing the corresponding acrylate esters (II). II were free radically polymerized yielding linear polyacrylates (III). The citraconimidyl vinyls did not participate in the polymerization. Saffron petals, which are the main by-products of Crocus sativus L. (Iridaceae family), are produced in large quantities and are known for their many beneficial properties. In this regard, this study aims to investigate the phenolic composition and antibacterial properties of hydroethanolic extracts from Crocus sativus L. petals collected from Serghina (province of Boulmane) in Morocco. The phenolic profiles were characterized using high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to a photodiode array and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HPLC-PDA-ESI/MS). The antibacterial potential was evaluated against four bacterial strains potentially causing food-borne disease (Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhimurium, Escherichia coli, and Listeria monocytogenes) using disc diffusion and broth micro-dilution assays. Results showed that a total of 27 phenolic compounds was detected in the Crocus sativus L. petal extracts, which were assigned to flavonoids (kaempferol, quercetin, isorhamnetin, and myricetin derivatives). The most abundant compound was represented by kaempferol-sophoroside isomer (20.82 mg/g ± 0.152), followed by kaempferol-sophoroside-hexoside (2.63 mg/g ± 0.001). The hydroethanolic extracts of Crocus sativus L. petals demonstrated bactericidal effects against Staphylococcus aureus and Listeria monocetogenes and bacteriostatic effects against Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhimurium. Therefore, the by-product Crocus sativus L. petal extracts might be considered as valuable sources of natural antibacterial agents with potential applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries.  相似文献

The rapid spread of bacterial infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus has become a problem to public health despite the presence of past trials devoted to controlling the infection. Thus, the current study aimed to explore the chemical composition of the extract of endophytic fungus Aspergillus fumigatus, isolated from Albizia lucidior leaves, and investigate the antimicrobial activity of isolated metabolites and their probable mode of actions. The chemical investigation of the fungal extract via UPLC/MS/MS led to the identification of at least forty-two metabolites, as well as the isolation and complete characterization of eight reported metabolites. The antibacterial activities of isolated metabolites were assessed against S. aureus using agar disc diffusion and microplate dilution methods. Compounds ergosterol, helvolic acid and monomethyl sulochrin-4-sulphate showed minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values of 15.63, 1.95 and 3.90 µg/mL, respectively, compared to ciprofloxacin. We also report the inhibitory activity of the fungal extract on DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, which led us to perform molecular docking using the three most active compounds isolated from the extract against both enzymes. These active compounds had the required structural features for S. aureus DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV inhibition, evidenced via molecular docking.  相似文献

A sensitive, simple and rapid method for ultra-trace determination of iron and manganese based on ultrasound assisted pseudodigestion in citric acid fermentation medium samples (beet and cane molasses and raw sugar based mediums) is described. Parameters influencing pseudo-digestion, such as sonication time, sample mass and solvent system were fully optimized. Final solutions obtained upon sonication were analyzed by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS). The best conditions for metal pseudo-digestion were as follows: a 25, 30 and 20 min sonication time for beet molasses, cane molasses and raw sugar based medium samples, respectively, 0.7 g sample mass of raw sugar based samples, 0.5 g sample mass of molasses based samples and an extraction mixture of concentrated HNO3-H2O2, in 25 mL of solvent. Analytical results obtained for the two metals by ultrasound assisted pseudo-digestion and conventional wet digestion methods showed a good agreement. This method reduces the time required for all treatments (heating to dryness, cooling and separation) in comparison with conventional wet digestion method. The accuracy of the method was tested by comparing the obtained results with that of conventional wet digestion method.   相似文献

We classify all complete uniform multipartite hypergraphs with respect to some algebraic properties, such as being (almost) complete intersection, Gorenstein, level, l-Cohen-Macaulay, l-Buchsbaum, unmixed, and satisfying Serre's condition S r , via some combinatorial terms. Also, we prove that for a complete s-uniform t-partite hypergraph ?, vertex decomposability, shellability, sequentially S r , and sequentially Cohen–Macaulay properties coincide with the condition that ? has t ? 1 sides consisting of a single vertex. Moreover, we show that the latter condition occurs if and only if it is a chordal hypergraph.  相似文献

A potentially useful semi organic nonlinear optical (NLO) material ? glycine with barium nitrate and potassium nitrate (GBNPN) has been synthesized by slow evaporation technique. Good transparent GBNPN crystals were obtained in a time span of 3 weeks. The grown crystals were characterized by single crystal/powder XRD, UV?vis?IR absorption, FTIR, thermal analysis and powder SHG measurements have been studied. The grown crystals were thermally stable up to 137.53 °C. The GBNPN crystal exhibits second harmonic generation efficiency of about 1.35 times than that of potassium di hydrogen phosphate (KDP). Mechanical properties such as micro hardness (Hv) and Mayer's index, n, have been carried out by indentation method. The refractive index (μ) has been measured by the Brewster's angle method.  相似文献
