This study was conducted to examine the anti-hair loss mechanism of the supercritical fluid extraction-residues extract of Ulmus davidiana by the regulation of cytokine production and hormone function in human dermal follicle papilla cells (HDFPCs). To investigate the modulatory effects on H2O2-induced cytokines, we measured transforming growth factor-beta and insulin-like growth factor 1 secreted from HDFPCs. To investigate the regulatory effects of supercritical extraction-residues extract of Ulmus davidiana on dihydrotestosterone hormone production, cells were co-incubated with high concentrations of testosterone. The supercritical extraction-residues extract of Ulmus davidiana significantly inhibited the secretion of transforming growth factor-beta but rescued insulin-like growth factor 1 in a dose-dependent manner. The supercritical extraction-residues extract of Ulmus davidiana markedly reduced dihydrotestosterone production. These results suggest that the supercritical fluid extract residues of Ulmus davidiana and their functional molecules are candidates for preventing human hair loss.  相似文献

The possibility of Pt–Cr surface alloys formation on Pt(0 0 1) was investigated and their magnetism was calculated by the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FLAPW) method with eight different atomic configurations. The most stable structure was calculated to be the Pt-segregated L12 ferromagnetic surface alloy. A3B types (L12 or D022) were more stable compared to AB types (L10). It implies that the A3B type surface alloys may be formed when depositing a monolayer of Cr on Pt(0 0 1). It was found from the total energy calculations that there exists a strong tendency of the Pt segregation. The segregation further stabilizes the surface alloy significantly. The work function of the most stable surface alloy was calculated to be 6.02 eV and the magnetic moment of the surface Cr was much enhanced to 3.3 μB. It is a quite interesting finding that the coupling between Cr and Pt atoms on the surface plane is ferromagnetic in the Pt-segregated L12 ferromagnetic surface alloy, while the coupling is antiferromagnetic in the bulk.  相似文献

We investigate the gauge/gravity duality between the \(\mathcal{N} = 6\) mass-deformed ABJM theory with \(\hbox {U}_k(N)\times \hbox {U}_{-k}(N)\) gauge symmetry and the 11-dimensional supergravity on LLM geometries with SO(2,1)\(\times \)SO(4)/\({\mathbb {Z}}_k\) \(\times \)SO(4)/\({\mathbb {Z}}_k\) isometry, in terms of a KK holography, which involves quadratic order field redefinitions. We establish the quadratic order KK mappings for various gauge invariant fields in order to obtain the canonical 4-dimensional gravity equations of motion and to reduce the LLM solutions to an asymptotically AdS\(_4\) gravity solutions. The non-linearity of the KK maps indicates that we can observe the true purpose of the non-linear KK holography of the LLM solutions. We read the vacuum expectation value of conformal dimension two operator from the asymptotically AdS\(_4\) gravity solutions. For the LLM solutions which are represented by square-shaped Young diagrams, we compare the vacuum expectation value obtained from the holographic procedure with the result obtained from the field theory, which is given by \(\langle \mathcal{O}^{(\Delta =2)}\rangle =\sqrt{k}N^{\frac{3}{2}}f_{(\Delta =2)}+\mathcal{O}(N)\), where \(f_{\Delta }\) is independent of N. Based on this result, we examine the gauge/gravity duality in the large N limit and finite k. We also show that the vacuum expectation values of the massive KK graviton modes are vanishing as expected by the supersymmetry.  相似文献

Various types of defects are produced by the irradiation of energetic particles onto a structural material. The large number of mobile vacancies and self-interstitial atoms during irradiation induce defect fluxes and the diffusion of solute atoms in the matrix. The preferential interaction between the solute atoms and radiation-induced defects leads to the enrichment/depletion or clustering of the solutes at defect sinks. In the current work, atom probe tomography (APT) was used for the analysis of radiation-induced solute clustering in ion-irradiated austenite stainless steel 316. Quantitative analysis of the localised clustering of chemical elements was implemented and a parameter selection procedure was proposed. The number density and size distribution of Si clusters in APT specimens irradiated at various temperatures were examined. At high temperature, the number density of the clusters decreased and their size increased. The localized Si atoms in variously shaped defects were clearly identified. The APT method was demonstrated to be suitable for identifying defect structures and for the quantitative analysis of clustering in irradiated specimens.  相似文献

We investigated the transverse beam dynamics in a thermal wave model by using a functional method. It can describe the beam optical elements separately with a kernel for a component. The method can be applied to general quadrupole magnets beyond a thin lens approximation as well as drift spaces. We found that the model can successfully describe the PARMILA simulation result through an FODO lattice structure for the Gaussian input beam without space charge effects.  相似文献

We report the observation of a new DsJ meson produced in B+-->D0DsJ-->D0D0K+. This state has a mass of M=2708+/-9(-10)(+11) MeV/c2, a width Gamma=108+/-23(-31)(+36) MeV/c2 and a 1- spin-parity. The statistical significance of this observation is 8.4 sigma. The results are based on an analysis of 449 x 10(6) BB events collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider.  相似文献

Ce 4d-4f resonant angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy was carried out to study the electronic structure of strongly correlated Ce 4f electrons in a quasi-two-dimensional nonmagnetic heavy-fermion system CeCoGe1.2Si0.8. For the first time, dispersive coherent peaks of an f state crossing the Fermi level, the so-called Kondo resonance, are directly observed together with the hybridized conduction band. Moreover, the experimental band dispersion is quantitatively in good agreement with a simple hybridization-band picture based on the periodic Anderson model. The obtained physical quantities, i.e., coherent temperature, Kondo temperature, and mass enhancement, are comparable to the results of thermodynamic measurements. These results manifest an itinerant nature of Ce 4f electrons in heavy-fermion systems and clarify their microscopic hybridization mechanism.  相似文献

We synthesized two new alternating polymers, namely P(Tt‐FQx) and P(Tt‐DFQx) , incorporating electron rich tri‐thiophene and electron deficient 6‐fluoroquinoxaline or 6,7‐difluoroquinoxaline derivatives. Both polymers P(Tt‐FQx) and P(Tt‐DFQx) exhibited high thermal stabilities and the estimated 5% weight loss temperatures are 425 and 460 °C, respectively. Polymers P(Tt‐FQx) and P(Tt‐DFQx) displayed intense absorption band between 450 and 700 nm with an optical band gap (Eg) of 1.78 and 1.80 eV, respectively. The determined highest occupied/lowest unoccupied molecular orbital's (HOMO/LUMO) of P(Tt‐DFQx) (?5.48 eV/?3.68 eV) are slightly deeper than those of P(Tt‐FQx) ( ?5.32 eV/?3.54 eV). The polymer solar cells fabricated with a device structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/ P(Tt‐FQx) or P(Tt‐DFQx) :PC70BM (1:1.5 wt %) + 3 vol % DIO/Al offered a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 3.65% with an open‐circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.59 V, a short‐circuit current (Jsc) of 10.65 mA/cm2 and fill factor (FF) of 59% for P(Tt‐FQx) ‐based device and a PCE of 4.36% with an Voc of 0.69 V, a Jsc of 9.92 mA/cm2, and FF of 63% for P(Tt‐DFQx) ‐based device. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The properties of eumelanin‐like particles (EMPs) and pheomelanin‐like particles (PMPs) in regulating the process of amyloid formation of amyloid‐beta 42 (Aβ42) were examined. EMPs and PMPs are effective both in interfering with amyloid aggregation of Aβ42 and in remodeling matured Αβ42 fibers. The results suggest that some (but not all) molecular species consisting of melanin‐like particles (MPs) are responsible for their inhibiting property toward amyloid formation, and the influence is likely manifested by long‐range interactions. Incubating preformed Aβ42 fibers with catechols or MPs leads to the formation of mesh‐like, interconnected Aβ42 fibers encapsulated with melanin‐like material. MPs are kinetically more effective than catechol monomers in this process, and a detailed investigation reveals that 4,5‐dihydroxyindole, a major intermediate in the formation of melanin‐like species, and its derivatives are mainly responsible for remodeling amyloid fibers.  相似文献
