Pairing correlations are studied numerically in a hole-doped spin-fermion model. Simulations performed on up to 12 x 12 clusters provide indications of D-wave superconductivity away from half-filling comparable to those of the 2D t-J model. The pairing correlations are the strongest in the direction perpendicular to the dynamic stripes that appear in the ground state at some densities. An optimal doping, where correlations are maximized, was observed at approximately 25% doping with an estimated T(c) approximately 100-200 K, in qualitative agreement with high-T(c) cuprates' phenomenology, while pairing correlations are suppressed by static stripe inhomogeneities.  相似文献

The complex formation equilibria between titanium(IV) and fluoride ions have been studied at 25°C in 3 M(Na)Cl ionic medium by measuring, with an ion selective electrode for F?, the free HF concentration in acid Ti(IV) solutions. The [H+] was kept within 0.25 and I M where the predominant form of uncomplexed metal is the dihydroxotitanium(IV) ion, Ti(OH)2+2. The potentiometric data have been explained by assuming Ti(OH)2F+, TiF4 and HTiF?6, with equilibrium constants given in Table 3. Within the accuracy of the present e.m.f. study, ±0.2 mV, no evidence for intermediate complexes bearing 2, 3 and 5 F? was found.From a special series of measurements, carried out by replacing a large part of the Cl? with ClO?4, it is concluded that no appreciable amount of Ti(IV)Cl complexes is formed at the 3 M level employed as ionic medium.  相似文献

We report on efficient conversion from 1.054 μm to 0.35 μm by third harmonic generation in two Type II KDP crystals. Energy conversion efficiencies of up to 80% have been measured under conditions applicable to large glass laser systems. A new tripling scheme used for these experiments requires a minimum of optical components and is insensitive to exact crystal alignment and laser beam divergence. A convenient scaling law allows tripling optimization for many different laser conditions.  相似文献

From algal suspensions to magma upwellings, one finds jets which exhibit complex symmetry-breaking instabilities as they are decelerated by their surroundings. We consider here a model system--a saline jet descending through a salinity gradient--which produces dynamics unlike those of standard momentum jets or plumes. The jet coils like a corkscrew within a conduit of viscously entrained fluid, whose upward recirculation braids the jet, and nearly confines transverse mixing to the narrow conduit. We show that the underlying jet structure and certain scaling relations follow from similarity solutions to the fluid equations and the physics of Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities.  相似文献

We study the quenched complexity in spin-glass mean-field models satisfying the Becchi-Rouet-Stora-Tyutin supersymmetry. The outcome of such study, consistent with recent numerical results, allows, in principle, to conjecture the absence of any supersymmetric contribution to the complexity in the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model. The same analysis can be applied to any model with a full replica symmetry breaking phase, e.g., the Ising p-spin model below the Gardner temperature. The existence of different solutions, breaking the supersymmetry, is also discussed.  相似文献

The site-specific synthesis of oligonucleotides containing the C8-deoxyguanosine adduct of the highly mutagenic heterocyclic amine 2-amino-3-methylimidazo[4,5-f]quinoline (IQ) has been achieved, and the oligonucleotides were characterized by UV melting temperature analysis, circular dichroism, and UV absorption spectroscopy. Examination of these data indicated that the IQ-adduct is accommodated in dramatically different environments. This sequence-dependent conformational preference is likely to play a key role in the mutagenicity and repair of IQ-modified oligonucleotides.  相似文献

We prove the existence of chaos in temperature in the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model. The effect is exceedingly small, namely, of the ninth order in perturbation theory. The equations describing two systems at different temperatures constrained to have a fixed overlap are studied analytically and numerically, yielding information about the behavior of the overlap distribution function PT1(,T2)(q) in finite-size systems.  相似文献

We report on the results obtained from the study of the 32S + 64Ni and 32S + 58Ni peripheral reactions at incident energies E lab = 288 MeV and E lab = 320 MeV, respectively. High-energy γ-rays were detected in an array of 8 seven-pack BaF2 clusters. Coincidence with complex fragments detected in 12 three-stage telescopes ensured the selection of peripheral reaction events. All of the relevant reaction parameters were kept constant with the exception of the different initial dipole moment caused by the different entrance channel charge asymmetry. While for quasi-elastic events no N/Z effect was observed in the differential γ-ray multiplicities of the two reactions, for deep-inelastic events a larger dipole γ-ray emission occurs during the more N/Z asymmetric reaction. A theoretical interpretation based on a collective Bremsstrahlung analysis of the reaction dynamics is presented.
