The molecular hyperpolarizability of some donor–acceptor oxadiazoles was investigated using ab initio methods. Ab initio optimizations
were performed at the Hartree-Fock level using different basis sets, starting with the minimal basis set, and then split valence
sets. The first hyperpolarizabilities were calculated at the Hartree-Fock level employing the corresponding basis sets using
Gaussian 98W. In general, the first hyperpolarizability is dependent on the choice of method and basis set. In order to understand
this phenomenon in the context of molecular orbital picture, we examined the molecular HOMOs and molecular LUMOs generated
via HF/6-31G level. It has also been calculated the polarizability, anisotropy of polarizability and ground state dipole moment

A generalized bridge is a stochastic process that is conditioned on N linear functionals of its path. We consider two types of representations: orthogonal and canonical. The orthogonal representation is constructed from the entire path of the process. Thus, the future knowledge of the path is needed. In the canonical representation the filtrations of the bridge and the underlying process coincide. The canonical representation is provided for prediction-invertible Gaussian processes. All martingales are trivially prediction-invertible. A typical non-semimartingale example of a prediction-invertible Gaussian process is the fractional Brownian motion. The analysis has been made through study of variation of critical micelle concentration (cmc), degree of counterion binding (β), aggregation number (N), and micropolarity with the concentration of these hydrophobic salts. An orthophosphoric hybrid material was successfully prepared by a hydrothermal reaction at 110 °C. A single crystal X-ray structure, thermal behavior, IR, and NMR spectroscopy investigations are given for a new organic cation bis dihydrogenomonophosphate C7H12N2[H2PO4]2.1/2H2O. The latter has been synthesized hydrothermally using 2,4-diaminotoluene (DAT) and orthophosphoric acid. The atomic arrangement can be described as inorganic sheets alternating with inorganic-organic layers. The organic group C7H12N+ 2 is located between inorganic groups to build multiple hydrogen bonds to ensure the three-dimensional cohesion network. The thermal behavior and IR, NMR and impedance spectroscopy studies are discussed for the powder samples of this compound. Supplemental materials are available for this article. Cu-catalyzed methods for site-selective hydroboration of terminal alkynes, where the internal or α-vinylboronate is generated predominantly (up to >98%) are presented. Reactions are catalyzed by 1-5 mol % of N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes of copper, easily prepared from N-aryl-substituted commercially available imidazolinium salts, and proceed in the presence of commercially available bis(pinacolato)diboron [B(2)(pin)(2)] and 1.1 equiv of MeOH at -50 to -15 °C in 3-24 h. Propargyl alcohol and amine and the derived benzyl, tert-butyl, or silyl ethers as well as various amides are particularly effective substrates; also suitable are a wide range of aryl-substituted terminal alkynes, where higher α-selectivity is achieved with substrates that bear an electron-withdrawing substituent. α-Selective Cu-catalyzed hydroborations are amenable to gram-scale procedures (1 mol % catalyst loading). Mechanistic studies are presented, indicating that α selectivity arises from the structural and electronic attributes of the NHC ligands and the alkyne substrates. Consistent with suggested hypotheses, catalytic reactions with a Cu complex, derived from an N-adamantyl-substituted imidazolinium salt, afford high β selectivity with the same class of substrates and under similar conditions. 相似文献

A new reactive monolith, poly(3‐chloro‐2‐hydroxypropyl methacrylate‐co‐ethylene dimethacrylate), poly(HPMA‐Cl‐co‐EDMA) was synthesized and post‐functionalized by taurine (2‐aminoethane sulfonic acid) to obtain a zwitterionic stationary phase for capillary electrochromatography. The new stationary phase contained charged groups such as secondary amine providing anodic electroosmotic flow and sulfonic acid groups providing cathodic electroosmotic flow. Hence, the capillary electrochromatography separations with the new zwitterionic monolith were performed with either anodic or cathodic electroosmotic flow. The electrochromatographic separation of alkylbenzenes and phenols was successfully performed. The zwitterionic monolith also allowed the separation of nucleosides using only electrokinetic mode. Theoretical plate numbers up to ~105 plates/m were achieved. Our study is the first report based on poly(HPMA‐Cl‐co‐EDMA) reactive monolith post‐functionalized with a zwitterionic ligand allowing to operate in both anodic and cathodic electroosmotic flow modes. Pollution and global warming are a few of the many reasons for environmental problems, due to industrial wastes and greenhouse gases, hence there are efforts to bring down such emissions to reduce pollution and combat global warming. In the present study, zinc oxide nanoparticles are green synthesized using cow dung as fuel, through combustion. Synthesized material was characterized by FTIR, XRD, UV, and FESEM. The as-prepared ZnO-GS NPs were employed as a transesterification catalyst for the preparation of biodiesel from discarded cooking oil. The biodiesel obtained is termed D-COME (discarded cooking oil methyl ester), which is blended with 20% commercial diesel (B20). Additionally, this blend, i.e., B20, is further blended with varying amounts of as-prepared ZnO-GS NPs, in order to ascertain its effects on the quality of emissions of various greenhouse gases such as hydrocarbons, COx, NOx. Moreover, the brake thermal efficiency (BTHE) and brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC) were studied for their blends. The blend (B20) with 30 mg of ZnO-GS, i.e., B20-30, displays the best performance and reduced emissions. Comparative studies revealed that the ZnO-GS NPs are as efficient as the ZnO-C NPs, indicating that the green synthetic approach employed does not affect the efficiency of the ZnO NPs. 相似文献
