A novel series of mixed-ligand complexes of 5,5′-{(1E,1E′)-1,4-phenelynebis(diazene-2,1-diyl)}bis(quinolin-8-ol) (H2L1) as a primary ligand and 4-aminoantipyrine(L2) as a secondary ligand with Mn(II) ion were prepared using two general formulae: [Mn2(H2L1)2(L2)2X4].4Cl (X = OH2( 1 ), ONO2−( 2 ), Cl=nil; OAc( 3 ), Cl = nil) and [Mn2(H2L1)(L2)2(O2SO2)2]( 4 ). Free ligands and their complexes were characterized. Electronic absorption spectra of the mixed-ligand complexes indicate a distorted octahedral geometry around the central metal ion, and the anions X− are in the axial positions for all compounds. The ligands behave in a neutral bidentate manner, through nitrogen atoms and oxygen atoms of the carbonyl group (L2), whereas H2L1 coordinated through nitrogen and OH groups as a neutral bidentate ligand. All complexes do not contain coordinated water molecules, but complex ( 1 ) contains four water molecules. The water molecules are removed in a single step. The complexes exhibited magnetic susceptibility corresponding to five unpaired electrons. The antimicrobial activity of the Mn(II) mixed-ligand complexes ( 1–4 ) against two gram-positive bacteria, three local gram-negative bacteria, and three fungi species was tested. Mn(II) mixed-ligand complex ( 2 ) exhibited significant antibacterial activity against Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Pseudomonas sp. The electronic structure and ground state properties of the gaseous sulfine H2CSO and some of its derivatives were studied at the RHF, MP2, and B3LYP levels. The calculations showed that the Z-isomer is more stable than the E-one and their difference in energy depends on their level of calculation, basis set, and substituent. The factors affecting the isomer stability are the electrostatic interactions, the steric factor, and π-electrons delocalization. The substituent has little effect on the geometry of the CSO moiety but greatly affects its charge distribution and polarizability. The ΔE value of the E- to Z-isomerization process via rotation of the S═O bond was calculated. The substituent has an appreciable effect on both the geometry and energy barrier of isomerization depending on its electronegativity, electrostatic attraction, and effect on π-delocalization over the molecule. 相似文献

Abstract A new adduct 3-ammoniumphenyl sulfone dihydrogenphosphate phosphoric acid, [C12H14N2O2S](H2PO4)2H3PO4, has been synthesized by slow evaporation at room temperature using 3-aminophenyl sulfone as the structure-directing agent. The structure, determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction at 293 K, can be described as inorganic layers built by H2PO4 ? groups and H3PO4 molecules, parallel to the (a, c) planes at y = 0.5, between which molecules of the organic group [C12H14N2O2S]2+ are inserted. In this atomic arrangement, hydrogen bonds and van der Waals interactions between the different species play an important role in the tri-dimensional network cohesion. Accurate, sensitive, and precise high performance thin layer chromatographic (HPTLC) methods were developed and validated for the determination of sumatriptan and zolmitriptan in presence of their degradation products. Sumatriptan was separated from its degradation products and analyzed on TLC silica gel 60 F254 plates using chloroform–ethyl acetate–methanol–ammonia (4:3:3:0.1, v/v) as a developing system followed by densitometric measurement of the bands at 228 nm. Zolmitriptan was determined using chloroform–ethyl acetate–methanol–ammonia (3:3:3:1, v/v) as a developing system followed by densitometric measurement at 222 nm. The methods were validated over a range of 0.5–4 μg/spot for sumatriptan and 0.5–3 μg/spot for zolmitriptan.
