A particle constrained to move on a cone and bound to its tip by harmonic oscillator and Coulomb-Kepler potentials is considered both in the classical as well as in the quantum formulations. The SU(2) coherent states are formally derived for the former model and used for showing some relations between closed classical orbits and quantum probability densities. Similar relations are shown for the Coulomb-Kepler problem. In both cases a perfect localization of the densities on the classical solutions is obtained even for low values of quantum numbers. 相似文献

Laser induced fluorescence spectra of iridium monophosphide, IrP, have been obtained at low and high resolution in the blue region of the visible spectrum. Two electronic transitions were observed with origins near 459.6 and 471.9 nm. Three vibronic bands in each of these transitions have been observed at high resolution allowing for full characterization of the states. A J-independent doubling of the rotational lines has been ascribed to nuclear electric quadrupole coupling in the ground state. Multireference configuration interaction (MRCI) calculations have been performed in order to confirm the nature of the ground state and aid in the assignment of the excited states. The two observed transitions have been assigned as the [21.7]1Σ+-X1Σ+ and the [21.2] 3Σ+-X1Σ+ electronic systems based on comparison with the theoretical calculations. The v + 2 level of each of these electronic transitions was found to be heavily perturbed and a successful deperturbation analysis was performed allowing for a complete global fit of the data. 相似文献

This work uses linear and looped RGDfV sequences attached to the surface of small (1.8 nm in diameter) gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) to enhance the radiosensitizating effects of Cilengitide, a cyclic RGDf (NMe)V pentapeptide that targets αvβ3 integrin which is overexpressed in certain cancers. Following synthesis and purification, the AuNPs were evaluated in vitro against HUVEC, H460, and MCF7 cells in clonogenic assays using a 137Cs irradiator. Untargeted AuNPs induced no significant dose enhancement factors (DEFs) in any of the cell types when compared to radiation treatment alone, whereas all evaluated AuNPs functionalized with targeting peptides performed at least as well as controls (irradiation after Cilengitide treatment). The observed DEFs also suggest that cyclizing the linear peptides into more spatially constrained, looped structures may facilitate target binding. These greater dose enhancements merit future in vivo studies of drug-AuNP conjugates to assess the ability of the nanostructures to provide an improved therapeutic benefit over treatment with drug candidates and radiation alone. 相似文献

The electrical conductivities of NaBPh4, NBu4I, NaI, NaCl, NaBr and NaClO4 have been studied in the mixtures of propan-1-ol with water. The obtained results were analysed using the Fuoss–Justice equation. The individual limiting ionic conductivities of Na+, NBu4+, BPh4−, I−, Cl−, Br−, ClO4− ions have been determined using the Fuoss–Hirsch assumption. We present an improved direct measurement of the parity-violation parameter A(b) in the Z boson-b-quark coupling using a self-calibrating track-charge technique applied to a sample enriched in Z-->bb events via the topological reconstruction of the B hadron mass. Manipulation of the Stanford Linear Collider electron-beam polarization permits the measurement of A(b) to be made independently of other Z-pole coupling parameters. From the 1996-1998 sample of 400,000 hadronic Z decays, produced with an average beam polarization of 73.4%, we find A(b)=0.906+/-0.022(stat)+/-0.023(syst). 相似文献

The magnetic susceptibility (κRT) and saturation magnetization (MS) of microbially synthesized magnetites were systematically examined. Transition metal (Cr, Mn, Co, Ni and Zn)- and lanthanide (Nd, Gd, Tb, Ho and Er)-substituted magnetites were microbially synthesized by the incubation of transition metal (TM)- and lanthanide (L)-mixed magnetite precursors with either thermophilic (TOR-39) or psychrotolerant (PV-4) metal-reducing bacteria (MRB). Zinc incorporated congruently into both the precursor and substituted magnetite, while Ni and Er predominantly did not. Microbially synthesized Mn- and Zn-substituted magnetites had higher κRT than pure biomagnetite depending on bacterial species and they exhibited a maximum κRT at 0.2 cationic mole fraction (CMF). Other TMs’ substitution linearly decreased the κRT with increasing substitution amount. Based on the MS values of TM- and L-substituted magnetite at 0.1 and 0.02 CMF, respectively, Zn (90.7 emu/g for TOR-39 and 93.2 emu/g for PV-4)- and Mn (88.3 emu/g by PV-4)-substituted magnetite exhibited higher MS than standard chemical magnetite (84.7 emu/g) or pure biomagnetite without metal substitution (76.6 emu/g for TOR-39 and 80.3 emu/g for PV-4). Lanthanides tended to decrease MS, with Gd- and Ho-substituted magnetites having the highest magnetization. The higher magnetization of microbially synthesized TM-substituted magnetites by the psychrotroph, PV-4 may be explained by the magnetite formation taking place at low temperatures slowing mechanics, which may alter the magnetic properties compared to the thermophile, through suppression of the random distribution of substituted cations. 相似文献

The purpose of this investigation is to evaluate the positioning and to confirm the volume concept of the Lea's Shield diaphragm utilizing MR imaging. We evaluated the device in two women, one nulliparous and one multiparous. We were able to comprehensively evaluate the device in both patients and answer all questions regarding anatomical positioning and aspects pertaining to the morphology of the device relevant to its function. MRI may be effectively utilized to evaluate contraceptive devices and their relationship to adjacent anatomical structures. We have experimentally studied the role of thermoelectric effects in nanoscale nonlocal spin valve devices. A finite element thermoelectric model is developed to calculate the generated Seebeck voltages due to Peltier and Joule heating in the devices. By measuring the first, second, and third harmonic voltage response nonlocally, the model is experimentally examined. The results indicate that the combination of Peltier and Seebeck effects contributes significantly to the nonlocal baseline resistance. Moreover, we found that the second and third harmonic response signals can be attributed to Joule heating and temperature dependencies of both the Seebeck coefficient and resistivity. 相似文献

Plasma wakefield accelerators offer accelerating and focusing electric fields three to four orders of magnitude larger than state-of-the-art radiofrequency cavity-based accelerators. Plasma photocathodes can release ultracold electron populations within such plasma waves and thus open a path toward tunable production of well-defined, compact electron beams with normalized emittance and brightness many orders of magnitude better than state-of-the-art. Such beams will have far-reaching impact for applications such as light sources, but also open up new vistas on high energy and high field physics. This paper reviews the innovation of plasma photocathodes, and reports on the experimental progress, challenges, and future prospects of the approach. Details of the proof-of-concept demonstration of a plasma photocathode in 90° geometry at SLAC FACET within the E-210: Trojan Horse program are described. Using this experience, alongside theoretical and simulation-supported advances, an outlook is given on future realizations of plasma photocathodes such as the upcoming E-310: Trojan Horse-II program at FACET-II with prospects toward excellent witness beam parameter quality, tunability, and stability. Future installations of plasma photocathodes also at compact, hybrid plasma wakefield accelerators, will then boost capacities and open up novel capabilities for experiments at the forefront of interaction of high brightness electron and photon beams. 相似文献

The top-down fabrication of catalytically active molecular metal oxide anions, or polyoxometalates, is virtually unexplored, although these materials offer unique possibilities, for catalysis, energy conversion and storage. Here, we report a novel top-down route, which enables the scalable synthesis and deposition of sub-nanometer molybdenum-oxo clusters on electrically conductive mesoporous carbon. The new approach uses a unique redox-cycling process to convert crystalline MoIVO2 particles into sub-nanometer molecular molybdenum-oxo clusters with a nuclearity of ∼1–20. The resulting molybdenum-oxo cluster/carbon composite shows outstanding, stable electrocatalytic performance for the oxygen reduction reaction with catalyst characteristics comparable to those of commercial Pt/C. This new material design could give access to a new class of highly reactive polyoxometalate-like metal oxo clusters as high-performance, earth abundant (electro-)catalysts.The top-down synthesis and deposition of polyoxometalate-like clusters on porous carbon is reported together with the high electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reactivity of the composite. 相似文献
