Poly(9,9‐dihexylfluorene‐2,7‐vinylene‐alt‐dibenzothiophene‐2,8‐vinylene) (PS) and poly(9,9‐dihexylfluorene‐2,7‐vinylene‐alt‐dibenzothiophene‐5,5‐dioxide‐2,8‐ vinylene) (PSO) as well as corresponding model compounds were synthesized by Heck coupling. Both the polymers and model compounds were readily soluble in common organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran, dichloromethane, chloroform, and toluene. The polymers showed a decomposition temperature at ~430 °C and a char yield of about 65% at 800 °C in N2. The glass‐transition temperatures of the polymers were almost identical (75–77 °C) and higher than those of the model compounds (26–45 °C). All samples absorbed around 390 nm, and their optical band gaps were 2.69–2.85 eV. They behaved as blue‐greenish light emitting materials in both solutions and thin films, with photoluminescence emission maxima at 450–483 nm and photoluminescence quantum yields of 0.52–0.72 in solution. Organic light‐emitting diodes with an indium tin oxide/poly(ethylene dioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonic acid)/polymer/Mg:Ag/Ag configuration with polymers PS and PSO as emitting layers showed green electroluminescence with maxima at 530 and 540 nm, respectively. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Tristimulus colorimetry using a digital still camera (DSC) as a colorimeter has been developed. A photograph of a sample and standard solutions was taken simultaneously with the DSC, and it was transferred to a PC. On the PC, the colors of the sample and of the standard solutions were analyzed and L* (brightness), a* (red-green component), and b* (yellow-blue component) values were determined with laboratory-made software. A dedicated light-box containing white-color LEDs as light source was made of white acrylic to make constant exposure at each photograph. Various settings of the DSC, such as exposure mode, white balance, and so on, that affect analytical figures, were studied with determination of iron with 1,10-phenanthroline. This method was successfully applied to the determinations of iron in a river water sample and of residual chlorine in tap water samples with N,N-diethylphenylenediamine (DPD).  相似文献

Inductively-coupled plasma/atomic emission spectrometry with a high-resolution vacuum scanning monochromator is described for the determination of sulfur at 180.734 nm. The behavior of the signal-to-background ratio is investigated as functions of RF power, argon gas flow rate and observation height above the load coil. Under the operating conditions selected, the detection limit is 3 μg l?1. The Se I 196.090-nm line is chosen as internal standard, because the S/Se line pair exhibited the least change with carrier gas flow rate and acid concentration of solution. Sulfur in NiMo and CoMo/ Al2O3 catalysts used for coal liquefaction is determined as S(II) and S(VI) species. The total amount of the species agreed well with the sulfur value obtained by the conventinal combustion method.  相似文献

Standardized mixing procedure was applied to the analysis of flocculation of polystyrene latex (PSL) particles with polyelectrolytes. After confirming the initial enhancement of flocculation rate in the very beginning followed by abrupt stop with excess dosage, attention was shifted to the system of moderate dosage. In the former, effects of ionic strength were further analyzed to find the consistency with adsorption isotherm. In the latter, flocculation started slowly in the beginning, sometime slower than salt-induced rapid coagulation, however, the rate gradually increases in the middle stage. Often, the increased rate exceeds that of salt-induced rapid coagulation. This behavior emerged more clearly in the case of lower ionic strength. This is the indication that the rate of relaxation of polymer on the colloidal surface is a function of surface coverage and ionic strength. The ultimate degree of flocculation is usually higher than that observed for excess dosage. The size distribution of flocs was also examined, however, no clear difference between different experimental conditions was confirmed for the same degree of flocculation.  相似文献

Ab initio Calculations of the isomerization reaction of diphosphene 1-sulfide (2′) to thiadiphosphirane (3′) suggest that the energy barrier of the reaction in the ground state is 25 kcal/mol and that 2′ lies 21 kcal/mol above 3′, while the calculations show that there exists one local minimum on the lowest triplet energy surface.  相似文献
