Ten different mathematical models representing the electrophoretic mobility of analytes in capillary electrophoresis in mixed solvents of different composition have been compared using 32 experimental data sets. The solvents are binary mixtures of water-methanol, water-ethanol and methanol-ethanol, respectively. Mean percentage deviation (MPD), overall MPD (OMPD) and individual percentage deviation (IPD) have been considered as comparison criteria. The results showed that a reorganized solution model, namely the combined nearly ideal binary solvent/Redlich-Kister equation, is the most accurate model among other similar models concerning both correlation ability and prediction capability. 相似文献

Numerical methods to predict the solubility of anthracene in mixed solvents have been proposed. A minimum number of 3 solubility data points in sub-binary solvents has been employed to calculate the solvent-solute interaction terms of a well established colsolvency model, i.e. the combined nearly ideal binary solvent/Redlich-Kister model. The calculated interaction terms were used to predict the solubility in binary and ternary solvent systems. The predicted solubilities have been compared with experimental solubility data and the absolute percentage mean deviation (APMD) has been computed as a criterion of prediction capability. The overall APMD for 25 anthracene data sets in binary solvents is 0.40%. In order to provide a predictive method, which is based fully on theoretical calculations, the quantitative relationships between sub-binary interaction terms and physicochemical properties of the solvents have been presented. The overall APMD value for 41 binary data sets is 9.19%. The estimated binary interaction terms using a minimum number of data points and the quantitative relationships have then been used to predict anthracene solubility data in 30 ternary solvent systems. The produced APMD values are 3.72 and 15.79%, respectively. To provide an accurate correlation for solubility in ternary solvent systems, an extension to the combined nearly ideal multicomponenet solvent/Redlich-Kister (CNIMS/R-K) model was proposed and the corresponding overall AMPD is 0.38%. 相似文献

The mole fraction solubility of phenacetin (PNC) in methanol + water binary solvent mixtures at 298.15 K was determined along with density of the saturated solutions. All these solubility values were correlated with the Jouyban–Acree model. Preferential solvation parameters of PNC by methanol (δx1,3) were derived from their thermodynamic solution properties using the inverse Kirkwood–Buff integrals (IKBI) method. δx1,3 values are negative in water-rich mixtures but positive in methanol mole fraction of >0.32. It is conjecturable that in the former case the hydrophobic hydration around non-polar groups of PNC plays a relevant role in the solvation. The higher solvation by methanol in mixtures of similar cosolvent compositions and methanol-rich mixtures could be explained in terms of the higher basic behaviour of methanol. 相似文献

Preferential solvation parameters of etoricoxib in several aqueous cosolvent mixtures were calculated from solubilities and other thermodynamic properties by using the IKBI method. Cosolvents studied were as follows: 1,4-dioxane, N,N-dimethylacetamide, 1,4-butanediol, N,N-dimethylformamide, ethanol and dimethyl sulfoxide. Etoricoxib exhibits solvation effects, being the preferential solvation parameter δx1,3, negative in water-rich and cosolvent-rich mixtures but positive in mixtures with similar proportions of both solvents. It is conjecturable that the hydrophobic hydration in water-rich mixtures plays a relevant role in drug solvation. In mixtures of similar solvent proportions where etoricoxib is preferentially solvated by the cosolvents, the drug could be acting as Lewis acid with the more basic cosolvents. Finally, in cosolvent-rich mixtures the preferential solvation by water could be due to the more acidic behaviour of water. Nevertheless, the specific solute–solvent interactions in the different binary systems remain unclear because no relation between preferential solvation magnitude and cosolvent polarities has been observed. 相似文献

New ferrocenyl‐based valproic acid (VPA) ester derivatives were designed and synthesized according to the reaction of appropriate haloalkylferrocene derivatives with VPA in the presence of K2CO3 and a catalytic amount of 18‐crown‐6 ether. Elemental analyses and Fourier transform infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectra all well confirmed the predicted molecular structure. This is the first report in which ferrocene has been applied in derivatization of VPA as a chromogenic group. The electrochemical properties of the synthesized compounds were studied using cyclic voltammetry measurements, and energies of the frontier molecular orbitals were determined. In addition, the solubilities of the final compounds were studied in distilled water, phosphate buffer (pH = 7.4) and 0.9% (w/v) NaCl solution. 相似文献

Molar volumes, excess molar volumes, and partial molar volumes were investigated for glycerol formal + propylene glycol mixtures from density measurements at temperatures from (278.15 to 313.15) K. Mixture compositions were varied in 0.05 in mass fraction of both components. Excess molar volumes were fitted to the Redlich?CKister equation and compared with literature values for other systems. The system exhibits positive excess volumes probably due to increased non-specific interactions. The effect of temperature on the different volumetric properties studied was also analyzed. In addition, the volumetric thermal expansion coefficients were calculated. The Jouyban?CAcree model was used for density and molar volume correlations of the mixtures at the different experimental temperatures. The mean relative deviations between experimental and calculated data are 0.04±0.03 and 0.04 ±0.05, respectively, for the density and molar volumes, using the minimum number of data points, the Jouyban?CAcree model can predict density and molar volume with acceptable accuracies (0.06±0.04 and 0.08±0.05, respectively). 相似文献

This study is aimed at evaluating the applicability of the Jouyban–Acree model for predicting the solubility of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in binary and ternary solvent mixtures at different temperatures by employing a large solubility data set. The solubility is predicted in solvent mixtures at different temperatures within an acceptable error range based on the experimental solubility data of PAHs in mono-solvents. The results reveal that the Jouyban–Acree model could be recommended for practical applications in chemical industries. 相似文献
