The molecular structures of three dimethiodide bisquaternary aza steroids, determined crystallographically, are reported. The compounds are (i) 17a-methyl-3-pyrrolidino-17a-aza-d-homo-5-androstene dimethiodide (HS310, or chandonium iodide), (ii) 4,17a-dimethyl-4, 17a-diaza-d-homo-5-androstane dimethiodide (HS342), and (iii) 4-methyl-17-dimethylamino-4-aza-5-androstane dimethiodide (HS467). RingB in HS310 is a half-chair and ringD in HS467 is a distorted envelope. All other rings in the steroid skeletons of the three molecules are in the chair conformation, and all rings aretrans-connected. All three molecules are known to exhibit competitive neuromuscular blocking activity, each with different potency. This is discussed in relation to the observed inter-onium N+ N+ distances and other features of molecular geometry of importance in drug design.  相似文献

The optical and dielectric properties of ZnS nanoparticles are studied by use of terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) over the frequency range from 0.3 to 3.0 THz. The effective medium approach combined with the pseudo-harmonic model of the dielectric response, where nanoparticles are embedded in the host medium, provides a good fit on the experimental results. The extrapolation of the measured data indicates that the absorption is dominated by the transverse optical mode localized at 11.6+/-0.2 THz. Meanwhile, the low-frequency phonon resonance of ZnS nanoparticles is compared with the single-crystal ZnS. The THz-TDS clearly reveals the remarkable distinction in the low-frequency phonon resonances between ZnS nanoparticles and single-crystal ZnS. The results demonstrate that the acoustic phonons become confined in small-size nanoparticles.  相似文献

In this Letter, we present resonance properties in terahertz metamaterials consisting of a split-ring resonator array made from high-temperature superconducting films. By varying the temperature, we observe efficient metamaterial resonance switching and frequency tuning. The results are well reproduced by numerical simulations of metamaterial resonance using the experimentally measured complex conductivity of the superconducting film. We develop a theoretical model that explains the tuning features, which takes into account the resistive resonance damping and additional split-ring inductance contributed from both the real and imaginary parts of the temperature-dependent complex conductivity. The theoretical model further predicts more efficient resonance tuning in metamaterials consisting of a thinner superconducting split-ring resonator array, which are also verified in subsequent experiments.  相似文献

The current study provides a way of extraction for both active NSO and WSE from Nigella sativa seeds using 98% methanol. About 1?kg of ground seeds was macerated by 1:2.5 w/v (g/mL) for 72?hours. After rotary evaporation and 7 days of continuous drying and chilling at 50 and 4?°C, NSO and WSE were obtained at the same instant. Solubility tests of 24 solvents and 11 thin layer chromatographic analyses while 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging assay of NSO (73.66) , WSE (33.32) and NSO?+?WSE (78.22) against ascorbic acid (IC50?=?4.28?mg/mL) was performed. WSE was found to be highly soluble in water and 5% NaOH exhibiting the same Rf value of 0.95 for EtOH:DMSO (9:1) against the honey. WSE has revealed more than twofold higher anti-oxidant activity than others. Formulation of WSE with Tualang honey may provide better targeted hydrophilic drug delivery systems.  相似文献

Shortwave infrared (SWIR) dyes are characterized by their ability to absorb light from 900 to 1400 nm, which is ideal for deep tissue imaging owing to minimized light scattering and interference from endogenous pigments. An approach to access such molecules is to tune the photophysical properties of known near-infrared dyes. Herein, we report the development of a series of easily accessible (three steps) SWIR xanthene dyes based on a dibenzazepine donor conjugated to thiophene ( SCR-1 ), thienothiophene ( SCR-2 ), or bithiophene ( SCR-3 ). We leverage the fact that SCR-1 undergoes a bathochromic shift when aggregated for in vivo studies by developing a ratiometric nanoparticle for NO ( rNP-NO ), which we employed to successfully visualize pathological levels of nitric oxide in a drug-induced liver injury model via deep tissue SWIR photoacoustic (PA) imaging. Our work demonstrates how easily this dye series can be utilized as a component in nanosensor designs for imaging studies.  相似文献

We present a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy study of the transmission properties of planar composite media made from subwavelength double split-ring resonators (SRRs). The measured amplitude transmission spectra reveal a resonance near 0.5 THz, the central frequency of most ultrafast terahertz systems, for one SRR orientation in normal-incidence geometry. This resonance is attributed to the effect of electric excitation of magnetic resonance of the SRR arrays. In addition, the influences of background substrate, lattice constant, and the shapes of the SRRs on the terahertz resonance are experimentally investigated and agree well with the results of recent numerical studies.  相似文献

The installation of large scale colloidal nanoparticle thin films is of great interest in sensor technology or data storage. Often, such devices are operated at elevated temperatures. In the present study, we investigate the effect of heat treatment on the structure of colloidal thin films of polystyrene (PS) nanoparticles in situ by using the combination of grazing incidence small-angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS) and optical ellipsometry. In addition, the samples are investigated with optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). To install large scale coatings on silicon wafers, spin-coating of colloidal pure PS nanoparticles and carboxylated PS nanoparticles is used. Our results indicate that thermal annealing in the vicinity of the glass transition temperature T(g) of pure PS leads to a rapid loss in the ordering of the nanoparticles in spin-coated films. For carboxylated particles, this loss of order is shifted to a higher temperature, which can be useful for applications at elevated temperatures. Our model assumes a softening of the boundaries between the individual colloidal spheres, leading to strong changes in the nanostructure morphology. While the nanostructure changes drastically, the macroscopic morphology remains unaffected by annealing near T(g).  相似文献

Optimization of Parameters for Cr(VI) Adsorption on Used Black Tea Leaves   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Dynamic characteristics of Cr(VI) sorption on used black tea leaves (UBTLs) as a low-cost adsorbent are studied. Batch experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of Cr(VI) concentration, solution pH and temperature on the removal process. Both of adsorption and reduction, involved in the process, are affected by the processing parameters. The adsorption kinetics is described successfully using pseudo-second order rate equation and the rate constant decreases with increasing the initial concentration of Cr(VI) up to 150 mg/L (for 0.1 g/L UBTLs) then becomes slow. Experimental and calculated kinetic data for equilibrium are well expressed by Langmuir isotherm. The solution pH has a profound effect on the adsorption rate. The rate constant increases linearly with an increase in temperature, and the low value of activation energy of adsorption, 16.3 kJ/mol, indicates that Cr(VI) is easily adsorbed on UBTLs. The maximum Cr(VI) adsorptive conditions, with a minimum reduction, were achieved from the dynamics of operational parameters: the initial Cr(VI) concentration < 150 mg/L (for 0.1 g/L UBTLs); the initial solution pH = 1.54–2.00 and the processing temperature < 50 C, for the possibility of its practical application.  相似文献
