In spite of the great importance of calorimetric data on phosphonium-based ionic liquids (PBILs), the information available in the literature is quite limited. This work reports the study of the thermal stability and the determination of heat capacity of the following (PBILs): tributyl(methyl)phosphonium methyl sulfate, [(C4)3PC1][MeSO4], trihexyl-tetradecylphosphonium chloride, [(C6)3PC14][Cl], trihexyl-tetradecyl-phosphonium dicyanamide, [(C6)3 PC14][DCA], trihexyl-tetradecylphosphonium bis((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl) imide, [(C6)3 PC14][NTf2], and trihexyl-tetradecylphosphonium tris(pentafluoroethyl)trifluorophosphate, [(C6)3 PC14][FAP]. Measurements on the well-known IL 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazoliumbis((trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl)imide, [EMIM][NTf2], were also performed for comparative purposes. The thermal stability was assessed by conventional and high resolution modulated thermogravimetric analysis within the interval (303 to 873) K. The heat capacity was measured by modulated differential scanning calorimetry within the range (310 to 515) K with an uncertainty in the range (1 to 5) J · K?1 · mol?1. The experimental results were correlated using polynomial expressions. The Joback method for predicting ideal gas heat capacities was used in conjunction with the principle of corresponding states and the modified Lydersen–Joback–Reid method to predict the heat capacity of the ILs. The methods due to Valderrama et al. were also used with the same purpose.  相似文献

Densities of four binary systems composed of an alkane (heptane, octane, nonane, or decane) and thiophene were measured at temperatures from 293.15 to 313.15?K at atmospheric pressure (0.7?atm). Measurements were made covering the full range of compositions for all systems studied and for the pure compounds by using a vibrating-tube densimeter (VTD). Excess molar volumes have been obtained from these experimental results and were fitted to a Redlich?CKister type expansion. The excess molar volumes exhibit positive deviations from ideal behavior for all of the binary systems studied here.  相似文献

We present a method of producing single attosecond pulses by high-harmonic generation with multicycle driver laser pulses. This can be achieved by tailoring the driving pulse so that attosecond pulses are produced only every full cycle of the oscillating laser field rather than every half-cycle. It is shown by classical and quantum-mechanical model calculations that even a minor addition (1%) of phase-locked second-harmonic light to the 800 nm fundamental driver pulse for high-harmonic generation leads to a major (15%) difference in the maximum kinetic energies of the recombining electrons in adjacent half-cycles.  相似文献

In the present article a novel approach for rapid product screening of fast reactions in IR-laser-heated liquid microbeams in a vacuum is highlighted. From absorbed energies, a shock wave analysis, high-speed laser stroboscopy, and thermodynamic data of high-temperature water the enthalpy, temperature, density, pressure, and the reaction time window for the hot water filament could be characterized. The experimental conditions (30 kbar, 1750 K, density approximately 1 g/cm3) present during the lifetime of the filament (20-30 ns) were extreme and provided a unique environment for high-temperature water chemistry. For the probe of the reaction products liquid beam desorption mass spectrometry was employed. A decisive feature of the technique is that ionic species, as well as neutral products and intermediates may be detected (neutrals as protonated aggregates) via time-of-flight mass spectrometry without any additional ionization laser. After the explosive disintegration of the superheated beam, high-temperature water reactions are efficiently quenched via expansion and evaporative cooling. For first exploratory experiments for chemistry in ultrahigh-temperature, -pressure and -density water, we have chosen resorcinol as a benchmark system, simple enough and well studied in high-temperature water environments much below 1000 K. Contrary to oxidation reactions usually present under less extreme and dense supercritical conditions, we have observed hydration and little H-atom abstraction during the narrow time window of the experiment. Small amounts of radicals but no ionic intermediates other than simple proton adducts were detected. The experimental findings are discussed in terms of the energetic and dense environment and the small time window for reaction, and they provide firm evidence for additional thermal reaction channels in extreme molecular environments.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterisation of the new macrocyclic ligand 6-methyl-2,6,10-triaza-[11]-12,25-phenathrolinophane (L1), which contains a triamine aliphatic chain linking the 2,9 positions of 1,10-phenanthroline and of its derivative L2, composed by two L1 moieties connected by an ethylenic bridge, are reported. Their basicity and coordination properties toward Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Hg(II) have been studied by means of potentiometric and spectroscopic (UV-Vis, fluorescence emission) measurements in aqueous solutions. L1 forms 1:1 metal complexes in aqueous solutions, while L2 can give both mono- and dinuclear complexes. In the mononuclear L2 complexes the metal is sandwiched between the two cyclic moieties. The metal complexes with L1 and L2 do not display fluorescence emission, due to the presence of amine groups not involved in metal coordination. These amine groups can quench the excited fluorophore through an electron transfer process. The ability of the Zn(II) complexes with L1 and L2 to cleave the phosphate ester bond in the presence has been investigated by using bis(p-nitrophenyl)phosphate (BNPP) as substrate. The dinuclear complex with L2 shows a remarkable hydrolytic activity, due to the simultaneous presence within this complex of two metals and two hydrophobic units. In fact, the two Zn(II) act cooperatively in substrate binding, probably through a bridging interaction of the phosphate ester; the interaction is further reinforced by pi-stacking pairing and hydrophobic interactions between the phenanthroline unit(s) and the p-nitrophenyl groups of BNPP.  相似文献

The ketoreductase (KR) domains eryKR(1) and eryKR(2) from the erythromycin-producing polyketide synthase (PKS) reduce 3-ketoacyl-thioester intermediates with opposite stereospecificity. Modeling of eryKR(1) and eryKR(2) showed that conserved amino acids previously correlated with production of alternative alcohol configurations lie in the active site. eryKR(1) domains mutated at these positions showed an altered stereochemical outcome in reduction of (2R, S)-2-methyl-3-oxopentanoic acid N-acetylcysteamine thioester. The wild-type eryKR(1) domain exclusively gave the (2S, 3R)-3-hydroxy-2-methylpentanoic acid N-acetylcysteamine thioester, while the double mutant (F141W, P144G) gave only the (2S, 3S) isomer, a switch of the alcohol stereochemistry. Mutation of the eryKR(2) domain, in contrast, greatly increased the proportion of the wild-type (2R, 3S)-alcohol product. These data confirm the role of key residues in stereocontrol and suggest an additional way to make rational alterations in polyketide antibiotic structure.  相似文献

Oblique orientated alpha-helices possess hydrophobicity gradients, which allow the parent alpha-helices to penetrate the membrane at a shallow angle, thereby destabilising membrane lipid organisation and promoting a range of biological processes. These alpha-helices occur in a variety of membrane interactive proteins and a number of techniques have been developed to guide their identification using sequence data alone. Hydrophobicity profiling, which provides a one-dimensional analysis of sequence data, identified only 30% of known tilted peptides in a control dataset and was thus of limited predictive use. In contrast, extended hydrophobic moment plot methodology and amphipilic profiling which take residue distribution into account and provide two-dimensional analysis of primary structural data, were found to be good indicators of tilted peptide structure. Amphiphilic profiling identified 67% of tilted peptides in the control dataset and showed that potentially, approximately 40% of transmembrane alpha-helices possess tilted peptide structure. However, it has been shown that extending these simple methods to take into account the three-dimensional spatial distribution of residues gives no clear additional benefit to identifying tilted peptides.  相似文献

A single-crystal X-ray study of a fullerene-imidazole adduct at nine temperatures (80 K≤T≤480 K), accompanied by energy calculations, strongly suggested thermal motion of the C60 moiety with respect to the imidazolium heterocycle. Analysis of the anisotropic displacement parameters, calculations of frequencies, and the refinement of disorder models for the crystal at four temperatures (230 K≤T≤380 K) lead to the conclusion that the rotator is moving at all temperatures. The rotation barrier is low, with one preferred crystallographic site and several other energy minima.  相似文献

Maximum likelihood principal component analysis (MLPCA) was originally proposed to incorporate measurement error variance information in principal component analysis (PCA) models. MLPCA can be used to fit PCA models in the presence of missing data, simply by assigning very large variances to the non‐measured values. An assessment of maximum likelihood missing data imputation is performed in this paper, analysing the algorithm of MLPCA and adapting several methods for PCA model building with missing data to its maximum likelihood version. In this way, known data regression (KDR), KDR with principal component regression (PCR), KDR with partial least squares regression (PLS) and trimmed scores regression (TSR) methods are implemented within the MLPCA method to work as different imputation steps. Six data sets are analysed using several percentages of missing data, comparing the performance of the original algorithm, and its adapted regression‐based methods, with other state‐of‐the‐art methods.
