1,8-Napthalimides (NIs) have been widely used as fluorescent molecules in biological, chemical, and medical fields because NIs shows high stability and various fluorescence properties under different conditions. However, NIs typically display a fluorescence emission wavelength in the range of 350 – 550 nm which can be notably interfered with by autofluorescence in living cells, significantly limiting their bio-applications. Moreover, low solubility in aqueous media is another major limitation for NIs. In this project, four derivatives of NIs (1–4) have been synthesized via an aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction and their photophysical properties have been investigated in various media (water, MeOH, MeCN, DMSO, EtOAc, and THF). All of these derivatives (1–4) show a long emission wavelength around 600 nm and high solubility in polar solvents. Particularly molecules (1–4) show the longest emission (624–629 nm) in water and the fluorescence intensity is not significantly varied in the range of pH 4–11. These unique features, long emission wavelength, high solubility, and high stability in difference pH media, will allow these derivative (1–4) to be used as excellent labeling reagents in the biological system.

Using the relativistic linked cluster many-body perturbation procedure we have obtained the hyperfine field at the nucleus
of the Ra+ ion in the2S1/2 ground state. There is good agreement between the calculated magnetic moment of213Ra and the results of a recent Zeeman measurement by the collinear laser beam technique. Detailed comparison is carried out

The bit-error rate (BER) performance of the spectral amplitude coding-optical code division multiple access (SACOCDMA) system
has been investigated by using NAND subtraction detection technique with enhanced double weight (EDW) code. The EDW code is
the enhanced version of double weight (DW) code family where the code weight is any odd number and greater than one with ideal
cross-correlation. In order to evaluate the performance of the system, we used mathematical analysis extensively along with
the simulation experiment. The evaluation results obtained using the NAND subtraction detection technique was compared with
those obtained using the complementary detection technique for the same number of active users. The comparison results revealed
that the BER performance of the system using NAND subtraction detection technique has greatly been improved as compared to

A comprehensive study on the small-signal intensity modulation (IM) characteristics of a fiber grating Fabry-Perot (FGFP)
laser is numerically investigated. The effect of external optical feedback (OFB), temperature, injection current, cavity volume,
nonlinear gain compression factor, and fiber grating (FG) parameters on IM characteristics are presented. The temperature
dependence (TD) of IM is calculated according to the TD of laser cavity parameters instead of using the well-known Parkove
relationship. It has been shown that the optimum external fiber length (Lext) is 3.1 cm. The optimum range of working temperature for FGFP laser is between 23 to 27 °C. We also show that by increasing
the laser injection current from 10 to 60 mA, the IM peak amplitude decreased from 6.3 to 0.2 dB and the relaxation-oscillation
frequency (ROF) is shifted from 1.2 GHz towards higher frequency of 5.48 GHz. In addition, the AR coating reflectivity and
gain compression factor have no significant effect on the IM. The study indicates that a stable operation and excellent modulation
characteristic can be obtained after optimization process. 相似文献
The structural and magnetic properties of cubic perovskites, PrCoO3 and NdCoO3, are studied using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method within the frame work of density functional theory (DFT). The structural parameters are also investigated by analytical techniques. The calculated structural parameters are consistent with the experimental results. The strong hybridization of the O-2p, Co-3d and Pr/Nd-4 f states around the Fermi level reveals that these compounds are metallic. It is also found that the origin of ferromagnetism in these compounds is double-exchange interaction between Co-3d states via O-2p states (Co-O-Co). 相似文献
A search for a heavy standard model Higgs boson decaying via H→ZZ→→?(+)?(-)νν, where ?=e, μ, is presented. It is based on proton-proton collision data at √s=7 TeV, collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC in the first half of 2011 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb(-1). The data are compared to the expected standard model backgrounds. The data and the background expectations are found to be in agreement and upper limits are placed on the Higgs boson production cross section over the entire mass window considered; in particular, the production of a standard model Higgs boson is excluded in the region 340相似文献
