In this paper, we show that laser speckle pattern provides useful information toward revealing discrimination between nanofibers and membranes. Chitosan materials particularly organosoluble chitosan derivatives have a number of applications. The surface characteristics of these materials are very critical for specific applications. The analysis of laser speckles, both numerical and graphical, includes information about the surface structure. The development of digital electronics brought the ease of image processing and has opened new perspectives for a spectrum of laser speckle analysis (LASCA) applications. Our results show reasonable differences between the LASCA parameters of nanofibers and membranes. The methodology may be considered as a quantitative assessment tool for similar samples. 相似文献

A new strategy for organocatalysis based on the biochemical blueprints of biosynthesis has enabled a new laboratory approach to cascade catalysis. Imidazolidinone-based catalytic cycles, involving iminium and enamine activation, have been successfully combined to allow a large diversity of nucleophiles (furans, thiophenes, indoles, butenolides, hydride sources, tertiary amino lactone equivalents) and electrophiles (fluorinating and chlorinating reagents) to undergo sequential addition with a wide array of alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes. These new cascade catalysis protocols allow the invention of enantioselective transformations that were previously unknown, including the asymmetric catalytic addition of the elements of HF across a trisubstituted olefin. Importantly, these domino catalysis protocols can be mediated by a single imidazolidinone catalyst or using cycle-specific amine catalysts. In the latter case, cascade catalysis pathways can be readily modulated to provide a required diastereo- and enantioselective outcome via the judicious selection of the enantiomeric series of the amine catalysts. A central benefit of combining multiple asymmetric organocatalytic events into one sequence is the intrinsic requirement for enantioenrichment in the second induction cycle, as demonstrated by the enantioselectivities obtained throughout this study (>/=99% ee in all cases). 相似文献

The objective of this study was to determine the impact that auditory-nerve adaptation has on behavioral measures of temporal integration in Nucleus 24 cochlear implant recipients. It was expected that, because the auditory nerve serves as the input to central temporal integrator, a large degree of auditory-nerve adaptation would reduce the amount of temporal integration. Neural adaptation was measured by tracking amplitude changes of the electrically evoked compound action potential (ECAP) in response to 1000-pps biphasic pulse trains of varying durations. Temporal integration was measured at both suprathreshold and threshold levels by an adaptive procedure. Although varying degrees of neural adaptation and temporal integration were observed across individuals, results of this investigation revealed no correlation between the degree of neural adaptation and psychophysical measures of temporal integration. 相似文献

Rapid expansion and supercooling of dry vapor in low-pressure steam turbines trigger nucleation phenomenon. Subsequently, following the occurrence of vapor condensation, a vapor–liquid two-phase flow is established. Entropy generation mainly by condensation shock, blade erosion, and ultimately, destruction of equipment and efficiency reduction are among adverse effects of vapor condensation, which should be either attenuated or controlled. In the present research, which is a continuation to the research performed by original authors, a one-dimensional analytical Eulerian–Lagrangian model is used to apply convergent section heating to different supersonic nozzles under various inlet conditions. The results indicate that the flow response to the heating is well dependent on the intensity of condensation shock or inlet conditions. In order to compensate for the mass flow rate resulted from the convergent section heating, effects of simultaneous reduction of inlet stagnation temperature and convergent section heating were investigated. Finally, it was found that, maintaining constant mass flow rate, simultaneous reduction of inlet stagnation temperature and convergent section heating cannot attenuate the condensation shock significantly. Therefore, the best approach to compensate for the reduction in the mass flow rate due to convergent section heating is to simultaneously increase inlet stagnation pressure. 相似文献

In the present work, a novel nanocomposite (NC) was prepared by reinforcing montmorillonite (MMT) into polypyrrole-nylon-6 (PPy-N6) hybrid through in situ oxidative polymerisation of PPy in the MMT-N6 mixture. The prepared novel NC was deposited as a thin layer coating on the stir bar substrate by solvent exchange method. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were applied to characterise the prepared NCs. The prepared stir bar based on MMT/PPy/N6 NC was applied for sorptive extraction of some organophosphorous pesticides (OPPs) in river water samples with detection by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The effect of MMT doping level in the NC and also the effect of PPy hybridation with N6 on the coating extraction capability were studied. Central composite design was used to optimise and study the effects of influencing factors on the stir bar sorptive extraction efficiency such as salt content, pH, extraction time, desorption time, desorption solvent and its volume. The method optimisation step was performed using gas chromatography-flame ionisation detector, while the method validation was conducted using GC-MS. Limits of detection of the developed method are in the range of 0.05–0.3 μg L?1 and the linear dynamic ranges are in the range of 0.3–1000 and 1–1000 μg L?1, respectively. The intra-day precision (RSD %) of developed method with four replicates varied between 5.4 and 8.2% for distilled water spiked at 100 μg L?1. The applicability of the developed method was examined by extraction and determination of OPP compounds in river water samples, indicating the relative recoveries in the range of 80.3–95.3%. 相似文献

Citronellal cyclisation to isopulegol is an important intermediate step in the production of menthol. Several heteropoly acids (PTA) supported on modified montmorillonite (MM) catalysts were synthesized and then tested in cyclisation reactions. The prepared samples were characterized by XRD, ICP-OES, FTIR, N2 sorption, NH3-TPD, pyridine adsorption, amine titration and FE-SEM techniques. Effects of post-treatment were studied on montmorillonite pore structure, acidity and catalytic activity. The catalytic activity and isopulegol selectivity improved with acid-treatment and PTA loading. The amount of Lewis acidity of montmorillonite was enhanced with acid-treatment and PTA impregnation. In cyclisation, highest catalytic activity (31.87 mmol cat g?1 min?1) was achieved with 96% isopulegol yield in the use of 20% PTA-MM catalyst. The highest catalytic activity and selectivity were obtained in the presence of higher acidity and strong Lewis acidic sites, whereas effects of pore structure blockage seemed minor. The catalytic activity further decreased with the loss of active acidic sites (L and B) due to PTA decomposition with calcination at a higher temperature. 相似文献
