Background  

Our group previously demonstrated that a DNA plasmid encoding the mycobacterial 65-kDa heat shock protein (DNA-HSP65) displayed prophylactic and therapeutic effect in a mice model for tuberculosis. This protection was attributed to induction of a strong cellular immunity against HSP65. As specific immunity to HSP60 family has been detected in arthritis, multiple sclerosis and diabetes, the vaccination procedure with DNA-HSP65 could induce a cross-reactive immune response that could trigger or worsen these autoimmune diseases.  相似文献

Inelastic scattering induces dephasing in mesoscopic systems. An analysis of previous models to simulate inelastic scattering in such systems is presented and a relatively new model based on wave attenuation is introduced. The problem of Aharonov-Bohm (AB) oscillations in conductance of a mesoscopic ring is studied. We show that the conductance is symmetric under flux reversal and the visibility of AB oscillations decays to zero as a function of the incoherence parameter, signaling dephasing. Further the wave attenuation model is applied to a fundamental problem in quantum mechanics, that of the conditional (reflection/transmission) times spent in a given region of space by a quantum particle before scattering off from that region.  相似文献

The influence of concentration of nonionic TRITON X-100 and anionic ATLAS G-3300 surfactants, and pH of medium on the size and zeta-potential of TiO2 particles in the water suspensions has been studied. Suspensions have been prepared by mixing of the titanium dioxide in the suitable mediums at 10 min and 6 h correspondingly. It was established, that the duration of mixing of the suspensions has an essential influence on the dependence of zeta-potential and size of particles versus concentration of surfactant. However, the duration of mixing does not influence the dependence of electrical conductivity and pH of the suspensions on concentration of surfactant. It is shown that anionic ATLAS G-3300 surfactant is more effective stabilizator of aqueous suspensions of titanium dioxide, than nonionic surfactants of TRITON X-100. It is found that hydrophobic interaction has important role in the processes of stabilization of suspensions for nonionic surfactant, and for anionic surfactant--moving of psi(delta)-planes into solution's depth.  相似文献

Effects of electrostatic and entropic factors on the dependence between the type of hydration of ions and their ability to form crystal hydrates from water solutions are discussed. It is shown that in the case of the single-charged ions because of the insignificant electrostatic interaction the crystal hydrates are formed mainly by the salts containing ions with different type of hydration. In the case of poly-charged ions the increase in the electrostatic interaction leads to formation of crystal hydrates mainly by the salts containing ions with the positive type of hydration. It was established also that the formation of salt crystal hydrates is influenced not only by the electrostatic and entropic factors, but also by the spatial arrangement and the electronic density distribution of ions.  相似文献

An analogy is stressed between the order-parameter symmetries of the two-dimensional d-pairing wave superconductors and of liquid-crystal mesophases formed from achiral bent-shaped molecules. It leads to a definition of a class of liquid-crystal states which are the analogs of the unconventional superconducting states, and are characterized by a loss of discrete symmetry operations of the parent state.  相似文献
