The measurement of biologically relevant anions, such as fluoride, is an important task in analytical chemistry, in particular, for dental health and osteoporosis. Although a large number of fluoride probes are known, the applicability under relevant conditions is limited to a few examples. To improve this situation, BODIPY‐amidothiourea dyes with varying hydrogen‐bond donating strengths were developed, the most H‐acidic of which ( 1 c ) could detect F? from an inorganic source (NaF) in 50 % aqueous solution (DMSO/water 1:1, v/v) with 0.01 ppm sensitivity through selective fluorescence quenching by a photoinduced electron‐transfer (PET) process. Use of the probe and a reference dye with a test‐strip assay and a portable and rapidly recording lateral‐flow fluorescence reader made determination of F? in neat aqueous solutions, such as spiked water samples and toothpaste extracts, possible in a self‐referenced manner, achieving a detection limit of 0.2 ppm. 相似文献

Organosilanols typically show a high condensation tendency and only exist as stable isolable molecules under very specific steric and electronic conditions at the silicon atom. In the present work, various novel representatives of this class of compounds were synthesized by hydrolysis of alkoxy- or chlorosilanes. Phenyl, 1-naphthyl, and 9-phenanthrenyl substituents at the silicon atom were applied to systematically study the influence of the aromatic substituents on the structure and reactivity of the compounds. Chemical shifts in 29Si NMR spectroscopy in solution, correlated well with the expected electronic situation induced by the substitution pattern on the Si atom. 1H NMR studies allowed the detection of strong intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Single-crystal X-ray structures of the alkoxides and the chlorosilanes are dominated by π-π interactions of the aromatic systems, which are substituted by strong hydrogen bonding interactions representing various structural motifs in the respective silanol structures. 相似文献

In the absence of X‐ray data, the exploration of compound binding modes continues to be a challenging task. For structure‐based design, specific features of active sites in different targets play a major role in rationalizing ligand binding characteristics. For example, dibasic compounds have been reported as potent inhibitors of various trypsin‐like serine proteases, the active sites of which contain several binding pockets that can be targeted by cationic moieties. This results in several possible orientations within the active site, complicating the binding mode prediction of such compounds by docking tools. Therefore, we introduced symmetry in bi‐ and tribasic compounds to reduce conformational space in docking calculations and to simplify binding mode selection by limiting the number of possible pocket occupations. Asymmetric bisbenzamidines were used as starting points for a multistage and structure‐guided optimization. A series of 24 final compounds with either two or three benzamidine substructures was ultimately synthesized and evaluated as inhibitors of five serine proteases, leading to potent symmetric inhibitors for the pharmaceutical drug targets matriptase, matriptase‐2, thrombin and factor Xa. Optimisation of the separation of a synthetic drug mixture by HPLC is performed by changing both continuous variables, i.e. mobile phase composition and temperature, and categorical variables, here the stationary phase.
