Planar metamaterials, which have incident to normal plane excitation unlike SRR-type structures and that are easily fabricated in multilayer form, have received great interest in recent years. In this paper, one-dimensional and polarization independent circular fishnet metamaterials and their equivalent discontinuous slab-pair modeling for tuning resonance frequencies are introduced. After the numerical and experimental demonstration of the inclusions, the standard retrieval characterization methods and the correspondent/related backward-wave propagation observation are realized in order to check the physical explanation mentioned in the paper. In addition, a detailed phase analysis is performed in order to demonstrate the application of the suggested structure as a phase compensator.  相似文献

Cu2+-doped Cs2CO3 and CsHCO3 single crystals were investigated by electron paramagnetic resonance between 113–273 and 173–313 K, respectively. For both single crystals, two sites were observed for the Cu2+ at ambient temperature for arbitrary orientations of the single crystals in the magnetic field. However, when the temperature is varied, the spectra indicate the equivalence of the two sites at 225 and 240 K for the single crystals, respectively, to the above order. Below and above these temperatures two sites for Cu2+ appear, and below 133 and 173 K the signals do not vary and two sites were always observed. This is attributed to the transition of the dynamic Jahn–Teller effect to a static situation at lower temperatures. Cu2+ seems to replace Cs+ and the charge compensation is fulfilled by another Cs+. Spin-Hamiltonian parameters for both single crystals at ambient temperature are reported and discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, methods to produce rapid strain rate changes for strain rate sensitivity measurements in Split Hopkinson Bar arrangements are presented and discussed. Two different cases are considered: a strain rate change test within the high strain rate region in compression, and a tension test incorporating a large strain rate jump directly from the low strain rate region to high strain rates. The former method is based on the loading wave amplitude manipulation, while the latter method is based on the incorporation of a low strain rate loading device into a Tensile Split Hopkinson Bar apparatus.  相似文献

In this study, the semi-empirical and empirical calculations of K X-ray intensity ratios, K-shell fluorescence yields, and vacancy transfer probabilities have been performed for 3d transition elements. Also, σ, σ production cross-sections, Kβ/Kα intensity ratios, ωK fluorescence yields, and ηKL vacancy transfer probabilities of 3d transition elements have been measured. The samples were excited by 59.5 keV γ-rays from a 241Am annular radioactive source. K X-rays emitted by samples were counted by an Ultra-LEGe detector with a resolution of 150 eV at 5.9 keV.  相似文献

The Raman spectroscopy technique was used to characterize the microstructure and the crystallization properties of the as‐cast and heat‐treated binary TeO2 WO3, TeO2 CdF2 and ternary TeO2 CdF2 WO3 glasses and glass ceramics. The results were compared with those obtained by using the X‐ray diffraction technique. The effect of the WO3 and CdF2 contents on the TeO2 glass network and the intensity ratios of the deconvoluted Raman peaks were determined. The shifts in the Raman band wavenumbers and the intensity values for each band were investigated. The Raman results indicated that the glasses were mainly formed by the [TeO4] and [TeO3] units. The [TeO4] units convert to [TeO3] units with the addition of WO3 and CdF2 into tellurite glasses. All the crystalline phases such as α‐TeO2, δ‐TeO2 and γ‐TeO2 existing in the TeO2 WO3, TeO2 CdF2 and TeO2‐ WO3 CdF2 glasses were determined. The transformation of the metastable γ‐TeO2 phase into stable α‐TeO2 was observed for the (1 − x)TeO2xWO3 (where x = 0.15, 0.20, 0.25), 0.90Te2 0.10CdF2, the 0.85TeO2 0.10CdF2 0.05WO3 and 0.80TeO2 0.10CdF2 0.10WO3 glasses, and the transformation of the metastable δ‐TeO2 phase into the stable α‐TeO2 was also observed for the TeO2 CdF2 WO3 glass system. The propagation of phase-locked and non-phase-locked laser array beams of radial and rectangular symmetries in a turbulent atmosphere are investigated based on the extended Huygens–Fresnel integral. The beamlet used in our paper for constructing the laser array beams is of elliptical Gaussian mode. Analytical formulae for the average irradiance of phase-locked and non-phase-locked radial and rectangular laser array beams are derived through vector integration and tensor operation. The irradiance properties of these laser array beams in a turbulent atmosphere are studied numerically. It is found that both phase-locked and non-phase-locked radial and rectangular laser array beams eventually become circular Gaussian beams in a turbulent atmosphere, which is much different from their propagation properties in free space. The propagation properties are closely related to the parameters of laser array beams and the structure constant of the turbulent atmosphere. PACS 42.25.Bs; 41.85.Ew; 42.68.Ay  相似文献

Power law fluctuations and scale-free spatial patterns are known to characterize steady state plastic flow in crystalline materials. In this Letter we study the emergence of correlations in a simple Frenkel-Kontorova-type model of 2D plasticity which is largely free of arbitrariness, amenable to analytical study, and is capable of generating critical exponents matching experiments. Our main observation concerns the possibility to reduce continuum plasticity to an integer-valued automaton revealing inherent discreteness of the plastic flow.  相似文献

We have examined a solution to the FRW model of the Einstein and de Sitter Universe, often termed the standard model of cosmology, using wide values for the normalized cosmic constant (Ω) and spacetime curvature (Ω k ) with proposed values of normalized matter density. These solutions were evaluated using a combination of the third type of elliptical equations and were found to display critical points for redshift z, between 1 and 3, when Ω is positive. These critical points occur at values for normalized cosmic constant higher than those currently thought important, though we find this solution interesting because the Ω term may increase in dominance as the Universe evolves bringing this discontinuity into importance. We also find positive Ωtends towards attractive at values of z which are commonly observed for distant galaxies.  相似文献
