Ozonolysis of alkenes and study of reactions of polyfunctional compounds: LXVIII. Investigation of transformations of peroxide products of olefins ozonolysis treated with hydroxylamine hydrochloride

Hydroxylamine hydrochloride efficiently reduces peroxide products of olefins ozonolysis into carbonyl compounds. Depending on the substrate character, solvent, and the treatment conditions the arising aldehydes transformed along the route aldehyde→aldoxime→nitrile→ester into individual compounds or their mixtures, or give the corresponding acetals.

Formation of the HgI2 crystalline phase in the bulk and on the surface of nanocrystalline matrices

This paper reports on the results of investigations into the phase composition of HgI₂ microcrystals formed in the bulk and on the surface of different nanocrystalline matrices: pressed, finely dispersed (with a specific surface of more than 210 m²/g) aluminum oxide powders; porous borosilicate glasses with pore radii ranging from 2 to 20 nm; and Al₂O₃-HgI₂ and SiO₂-HgI₂ nanocrystalline composites. The results of spectroscopic analysis (diffuse reflection, absorption, and luminescence spectroscopy) are complemented by the data of atomic-force microscopy (AFM) and x-ray diffraction. The experimental results indicate that nonequilibrium modifications, namely, the high-temperature yellow phase and the orange phase metastable in bulk crystals at all temperatures, can be stabilized in HgI₂ nanoparticles at room temperature.

Study of damage in plastics by optical methods

Conclusion Inclined exposure to radiation, coupled with measurement of the intensity of light fluxes transmitted in the forward direction and reflected from crazes and subsequent interpretation of the results of the measurements using a model that assumes one-time reflection and the presence of a certain functional dependence of the refractive index of the craze along its length, is the most effective of the optical methods that we examined for the investigation of the damage sustained by transparent polymers prone to craze formation. Invariant stabilization of pulse systems with a nonlinear right-hand side

The Lyapunov function of the quadratic form is used for the analytical synthesis of a robust stabilizing control for two classes of nonlinear pulse modulated systems described by functional differential equations with a lagging argument.
