Well‐defined multiarm star block copolymers poly(glycidol)‐b‐poly(methyl methacrylate) (PGOHBr‐b‐PMMAx) with an average number of PMMA arms of 85, 55, and 45 have been prepared. The core‐first approach has been selected as the methodology using atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of MMA from an activated hyperbranched poly(glycidol) as the core. These activated hyperbranched macroinitiators were prepared by esterification of hyperbranched poly(glycidol) (PGOH) with 2‐bromoisobutyryl bromide. The effect of monomer/initiator ratio, catalyst concentration, time, temperature, and solvent on the growing of the arms has been studied in detail in order to optimize the process and to diminish the radical‐radical coupling. The final products and intermediates were characterized by means of size exclusion chromatography (SEC), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and Fourier transform‐infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The length of PMMA arms was determined by SEC after cleavage of ester bond linked to PGOH core. Glass transition temperature (Tg), thermal stability and rheological properties of the multiarm star copolymers were also studied. Finally, tapping mode atomic force microscopy (TMAFM) allowed the clear visualization of nano‐sized particles (80–200 nm) corresponding to individual star molecules. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper investigates the topological properties of the Brazilian term structure of interest rates network. We build the minimum spanning tree (MST), which is based on the concept of ultrametricity, using the correlation matrix for interest rates of different maturities. We show that the short-term interest rate is the most important within the interest rates network, which is in line with the Expectation Hypothesis of interest rates. Furthermore, we find that the Brazilian interest rates network forms clusters by maturity.  相似文献

This paper investigates the topological properties of the Brazilian stock market networks. We build the minimum spanning tree, which is based on the concept of ultrametricity, using the correlation matrix for a variety of stocks of different sectors. Our results suggest that stocks tend to cluster by sector. We employ a dynamic approach using complex network measures and find that the relative importance of different sectors within the network varies. The financial, energy and material sectors are the most important within the network.  相似文献

An asymptotic expansion is derived by the multiple scales method for the electromagnetic potential in a one-dimensional model problem for eddy current computations in periodic non-homogeneous layered media in presence of an integral constraint for each period. Error estimates for approximations with partial sums of any order are established. Numerical computations of correctors up to the fourth order are performed and the results are compared with the exact solution in some significant cases.  相似文献

A new methodology for the in-line preconcentration, clean-up and speciation of mercury by use of an anion-exchange membrane is proposed. The speciation of mercury is based on retention of its tetrachloro complex onto the membrane while organic mercury flows freely through it. A multisyringe is used as a liquid driver and a cold vapour atomic fluorescence detector is employed to ensure a high sensitivity. Organic mercury is decomposed into to inorganic mercury by using a UV lamp. The carrier and reductant streams consist of 1.5% (m/v) hydrochloric acid and 2% (m/v) tin chloride, respectively. Certified reference material DORM-2 was digested with 37% hydrochloric acid and analysed directly without the need for extraction. The proposed system is more environmental friendly than the classical liquid-liquid extraction procedure. Mercury recoveries from spiked samples and the reference material were all close to 100%. An LOD of 14 and 16 ng/L was obtained for total and organic mercury, respectively, both with an RSD less than 1.3%.  相似文献

A key issue for noise, vibration and harshness purposes, when modelling the vibroacoustic behaviour of a system, is that of determining how energy is transmitted from a given source, where external energy is being input, to a target where energy is to be reduced. In many situations of practical interest, a high percentage of the transmitted energy is driven by a limited set of dominant paths. For instance, this is at the core of the existence of transmission loss regulations between dwellings. In this work, it is shown that in the case of a system modelled with statistical energy analysis (SEA), the problem of ranking dominant paths can be posed as a variation of the so-called K shortest path problem in graph theory. An algorithm for the latter is then modified and adapted to obtain the sorted set of K dominant energy transmission paths in a SEA model. A numerical example to show its potential for practical applications is included.  相似文献

The exclusive ability of laser radiation to be focused inside transparent materials makes lasers a unique tool to process inner parts of them unreachable with other techniques. Hence, laser direct-write can be used to create 3D structures inside bulk materials. Infrared femtosecond lasers are especially indicated for this purpose because a multiphoton process is usually required for absorption and high resolution can be attained. This work studies the modifications produced by 450 fs laser pulses at 1027 nm wavelength focused inside a photostructurable glass-ceramic (Foturan®) at different depths. Irradiated samples were submitted to standard thermal treatment and subsequent soaking in HF solution to form the buried microchannels and thus unveil the modified material. The voxel dimensions of modified material depend on the laser pulse energy and the depth at which the laser is focused. Spherical aberration and self-focusing phenomena are required to explain the observed results.  相似文献
