Multicriteria decision making under uncertainty

Formalization for problems of multicriteria decision making under uncertainty is constructed in terms of guaranteed and weak estimates. A relevant definition of the vector maximinimax value is given. Parameterization and approximation of maximum, minimax, and maximinimax values based on the inverse logical convolution are suggested. An application for multicommodity networks is considered. Algebra with Quadratic Commutation Relations for an Axially Perturbed Coulomb–Dirac Field

The motion of a particle in the field of an electromagnetic monopole (in the Coulomb–Dirac field) perturbed by an axially symmetric potential after quantum averaging is described by an integrable system. Its Hamiltonian can be written in terms of the generators of an algebra with quadratic commutation relations. We construct the irreducible representations of this algebra in terms of second-order differential operators; we also construct its hypergeometric coherent states. We use these states in the first-order approximation with respect to the perturbing field to obtain the integral representation of the eigenfunctions of the original problem in terms of solutions of the model Heun-type second-order ordinary differential equation and present the asymptotic approximation of the corresponding eigenvalues.     

On a free group of transformations defined by an automaton

We prove that three automorphisms of the rooted binary tree defined by a certain 3-state automaton generate a free non-Abelian group of rank 3. Both authors are supported by the NSF grants DMS-0308985 and DMS-0456185. Yaroslav Vorobets is supported by a Clay Research Scholarship.     

Reactions ofO-methyl tetramethyldiamidophosphite with halo- and thiocyanoalcohols

The reaction of O-methyl tetramethyldiamidophosphite with 3-bromopropanol or 3-bromo-2-butanol occurs with the liberation of dimethylamine and results in mixed phosphites. The reaction of O-methyl tetramethyldiamidophosphite with 3-thiocyano-2-butanol proceeds with the participation of the sulfur atom of the thiocyano group and formation ofS-(3-hydroxybutyl) tetramethyldiamidothiophosphate.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Thermal degradation of composites of poly(methyl methacrylate) with alkoxysilane hydrolyzates

Organic-inorganic composites of poly(methyl methacrylate) with alkoxysilane hydrolyzates form transparent films. Their thermal and oxidative thermal degradation were studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis.     

Synthesis,electronic structure,and physicochemical characteristics of pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyridazinium

The interaction of 1-methallylpyrazoles with acetic or propionic anhydride in the presence of perchloric acid forms products of acylation at the double bond and subsequent heterocyclization — pyrazolo[1,2-a]pyridazinium salts — that are representatives of a new heteroaromatic system.
