We denote the spectrum of an square matrix A by σ(A), and that of the matrix obtained by deleting the first i rows and columns of A by σi(A). It is known that a symmetric pentadiagonal oscillatory (SPO) matrix may be constructed from σ, σ1 and σ2. The pairs σ, σ1 and σ1, σ2 must interlace; the construction is not unique; and the conditions on the data which ensure that A is oscillatory are extremely complicated. Given one SPO matrix A, the paper shows that operations may be applied to A to construct a family of such matrices with σ and σ1 in common. Moreover, given one totally positive (TP) matrix A, we construct a family of TP matrices with σ, σ1 and σ2 in common.  相似文献

Energy-efficient error control for IEEE 802.15.1 (Bluetooth) video communication is proposed. The scheme is based on block-oriented incremental redundancy provided by rateless coding and receiver feedback. Results are presented for time-sensitive video streaming applications under a Markovian channel model. When the proposed algorithm is compared to variations of Bluetooth forward error control, there are improvements of around 3 dB in received video quality and of over 10% in energy efficiency.  相似文献

The formed cobalt-a-benzilmonoxime complex was adsorbed onto microcrystalline naphthalene. Then it was determined by zero and first derivative spectrophotometry and by atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) after dissolving into chloroform and methylisobutylketone (MIBK), respectively. Under optimum conditions, cobalt in the range of 1.0 - 20.0, 0.4 - 30.0 and 2.5 - 50.0 microg could be determined by spectrophotometry, first derivative spectrophotometry and AAS method, respectively. By the method, a preconcentration factor equal to approximately 30 for cobalt was obtained. The effect of diverse ions on the determination of 5.0 microg cobalt was also studied. The method was successfully applied to some pharmaceuticals and synthetic alloy samples.  相似文献

Off-the-shell anomalous factors of the two-body Coulomb transition matrices appear in the integral form of the Faddeev second-order nuclear-electronic amplitude, for proton-hydrogen charge transfer scattering in a typical nlmnlm′ transition. A symmetric-impulse approximation (SIA) is applied to eliminate these factors and an induction method is proposed to analytically calculate the remaining integrals. The nuclear-electronic amplitude is derived for the general case, and for totally symmetric collisions, in terms of generalized hypergeometric functions of two variables, F 4, and of one variable, 3 F 2, respectively. The angular distribution of the second-order nuclear-electronic charge transfer amplitude shows the Thomas mechanism as a peak or a hump for symmetric and asymmetric collisions. There also exists a peak in the forward angular distribution of the second-order nuclear-electronic amplitude, which partly cancels the kinematic peak in the angular distribution of the charge transfer differential cross sections.  相似文献

The authors describe an optimisation algorithm which can be applied to two-layer SNR scalable MPEG-2 video coding, such that bandwidth efficiency is achieved which is comparable to single-layer coding. Our optimised two-layer coder is shown to generate as little as 1% fewer bits than a single-layer coder compared to up to 15% more bits generated by the non-optimised SNR scalable coder  相似文献

An adaptive video codec which can maintain compatibility between the existing digital circuit switched networks and future ATM networks is described. It is based on two-layer coding principles, where in the base layer the H.261 standard video codec is employed. It is shown that a discrete cosine transform (DCT) in the second layer is unnecessary and can be replaced by a simple requantizer which finely quantizes the residue quantization distortions of the transform coefficients of the base layer. Characteristics of this quantizer in terms of nature of quantization and step sizes are studied. Efficient coding and addressing of residual distortions are described. Finally, a two-dimensional variable length code for the quantized residual distortions is given  相似文献

A block-based subband image coder that exploits the ability to perform decimation in the discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain to effect a pyramidal data structure is described. The proposed "DCT pyramid" has a distinct feature of improved image rendition properties without the associated blocking artifacts at low bit-rates.  相似文献

A new PVC membrane electrode for Zn2+ ions based on tetra(2-aminophenyl) porphyrin (TAPP) as membrane carrier is prepared. The sensor exhibits a linear stable response over a wide concentration range (5.0×10−5 to 1.0×10−1 M) with a slope of 26.5 mV/decade and a limit of detection 3.0×10−5 M (1.96 ppm). It has a response time of about l0 s and can be used for at least 8 months without any divergence in potential. The propose membrane sensor revealed good selectivities for Zn2+ over a wide variety of other metal ions and can be used in pH range of 3.0–6.0. It was successfully applied to the direct determination of zinc in a pharmaceutical sample and also as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Zn2+ ions.  相似文献

In this work Mg(OH)2, Ca(OH)2, CaCO3, SrCO3 and BaCO3 nanoparticles were synthesized via a simple sonochemical reaction at room temperature. Nanoparticles were synthesized via a surfactant-free reaction solvent water. Nanostructures materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The photocatalytic behavior of nanoparticles was evaluated using the degradation of a methyl orange aqueous solution under ultraviolet light irradiation. The results show that metal hydroxide and metal carbonate nanoparticles are promising materials with excellent performance in photocatalytic applications.  相似文献
