Topological properties of clusters are used to extract critical parameters. This method is tested for the bulk properties ofd=2 percolation and thed=2, 3 Ising model. For the latter we obtain an accurate value of the critical temperatureJ/k B T c=0.221617(18). In the case of thed=3 Ising model with film geometry the critical value of the surface coupling at the special transitions is determined as J1c/J=1.5004(20) together with the critical exponents 1 m =0.237(5) and=0.461(15).  相似文献

Summary Linear unbiased estimation of the mean of a random variable in Hilbert space is treated in the typical case where the mean belongs to a known subspace. The best linear estimate depends on the underlying covariance operatorB 0 of the random variable. This operatorB 0, however, is rarely completely known, so that an auxiliary operatorB is used to compute a “pseudo-best” estimate. It is shown that the best and the pseudo-best estimates coincide, if and only ifB 0 B −1 leavesM invariant. Applications to linear regression are to be found in the references.  相似文献

Reactions of LnBr(3) or LnOI with molten boric acid result in formation of Ln[B(5)O(8)(OH)(H(2)O)(2)Br] (Ln = La-Pr), Nd(4)[B(18)O(25)(OH)(13)Br(3)], or Ln[B(5)O(8)(OH)(H(2)O)(2)I] (Ln = La-Nd). Reaction of PuOI with molten boric acid yields Pu[B(7)O(11)(OH)(H(2)O)(2)I]. The Ln(III) and Pu(III) centers in these compounds are found as nine-coordinate hula-hoop or 10-coordinate capped triangular cupola geometries where there are six approximately coplanar oxygen donors provided by triangular holes in the polyborate sheets. The borate sheets are connected into three-dimensional networks by additional BO(3) triangles and/or BO(4) tetrahedra that are roughly perpendicular to the layers. The room-temperature absorption spectrum of single crystals of Pu[B(7)O(11)(OH)(H(2)O)(2)I] shows characteristic f-f transitions for Pu(III) that are essentially indistinguishable from Pu(III) in other compounds with alternative ligands and different coordination environments.  相似文献

Post-translational attachment of geranylgeranyl isoprenoids to Rab GTPases, the key organizers of intracellular vesicular transport, is essential for their function. Rab geranylgeranyl transferase (RabGGTase) is responsible for prenylation of Rab proteins. Recently, RabGGTase inhibitors have been proposed to be potential therapeutics for treatment of cancer and osteoporosis. However, the development of RabGGTase selective inhibitors is complicated by its structural and functional similarity to other protein prenyltransferases. Herein we report identification of the natural product psoromic acid (PA) that potently and selectively inhibits RabGGTase with an IC(50) of 1.3 μM. Structure-activity relationship analysis suggested a minimal structure involving the depsidone core with a 3-hydroxyl and 4-aldehyde motif for binding to RabGGTase. Analysis of the crystal structure of the RabGGTase:PA complex revealed that PA forms largely hydrophobic interactions with the isoprenoid binding site of RabGGTase and that it attaches covalently to the N-terminus of the α subunit. We found that in contrast to other protein prenyltransferases, RabGGTase is autoinhibited through N-terminal (α)His2 coordination with the catalytic zinc ion. Mutation of (α)His dramatically enhances the reaction rate, indicating that the activity of RabGGTase is likely regulated in vivo. The covalent binding of PA to the N-terminus of the RabGGTase α subunit seems to potentiate its interaction with the active site and explains the selectivity of PA for RabGGTase. Therefore, psoromic acid provides a new starting point for the development of selective RabGGTase inhibitors.  相似文献
