The dynamics of triple-well trapped Bose-Einstein condensates with atoms feeding and loss effects 下载免费PDF全文
In this paper, we consider the macroscopic quantum tunnelling and self-trapping phenomena of Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) with three-body recombination losses and atoms feeding from thermal cloud in triple-well potential. Using the three-mode approximation, three coupled Gross-Pitaevskii equations (GPEs), which describe the dynamics of the system, are obtained. The corresponding numerical results reveal some interesting characteristics of BECs for different scattering lengths. The self-trapping and quantum tunnelling both are found in zero-phase and :r-phase modes. Furthermore, we observe the quantum beating phenomenon and the resonance character during the self-trapping and quantum tunnelling. It is also shown that the initial phase has a significant effect on the dynamics of the system. 相似文献

We theoretically investigate the energy band structure and Josephson dynamics of a spin-orbit coupled Bose-Einstein condensate in a double-well potential. We study the energy band structure and the corresponding tunneling dynamics of the system by properly adjusting the SO coupling, Raman coupling, Zeeman field and atomic interactions. The coupled effects of SO coupling, Raman coupling, Zeeman field and atomic interactions lead to the appearance of complex energy band structure including the loop structure. Particularly, the emergence of the loop structure in energy band also depends on SO coupling, Raman coupling, Zeeman field and atomic interactions. Correspondingly, the Josephson dynamics of the system are strongly related to the energy band structure. Especially, the emergence of the loop structure results in complex tunneling dynamics, including suppression-revival transitions and self-trapping of atoms transfer between two spin states and two wells. This engineering provides a possible means for studying energy level and corresponding dynamics of two-species SO coupled BECs. 相似文献

The tunneling dynamics of a dipolar bosonic gas with repulsive interactions in a periodically driven triple- well are investigated. Because of the coupled effect of long-range dipole-dipole interaction and the short-range of on-site interaction, the increase of the repulsive atomic interactions can either suppress tunneling or enhance tunneling and, thus, the system experiences rich coherent tunneling(CT)-coherent destruction of tunneling (CDT) transitions. In particular, as the repulsive atomic interactions increase, the system can undergo CT-CDT-CT- CDT or CDT-CT-CDT-CT-CDT transitions. This cannot occur in non-dipolar gas, where the increase of the repulsive atomic interaction only suppress tunneling and the system can only undergo CT-CDT transition. We further present a good understanding of the results with the help of the quasi-energy spectrum of the system. 相似文献

The energy band structure of spin-1 condensates with repulsive spin-independent and either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic spin-dependent interactions in one-dimensional (1D) periodic optical lattices is discussed. Within the two-mode approximation, Bloch bands of spin-1 condensates are presented. The results show that the Bloch bands exhibit a complex structure as the atom density of m F=0 hyperfine state increases: bands splitting, reversion, intersection and loop structure are excited subsequently. The complex band structure should be related to the tunneling and spin-mixing dynamics. 相似文献

The stability of Bose--Einstein condensates (BECs) loaded into a
two-dimensional shallow harmonic potential well is studied. By using
the variational method, the ground state properties for interacting
BECs in the shallow trap are discussed. It is shown that the possible
stable bound state can exist. The depth of the shallow well plays an
important role in stabilizing the BECs. The stability of BECs in the
shallow trap with the periodic modulating of atom interaction by
using the Feshbach resonance is also discussed. The results show that
the collapse and diffusion of BECs in a shallow trap can be
controlled by the temporal modulation of the scattering length. 相似文献

The modulational instability of dust ion accoustic waves in a dust plasma with ion-dust collision effects is studied.Using the perturbation method,a modified nonlinear Schroedinger equation contains a damping term that comes from the effect of the ion-dust collision is derived. It is found that the inclusion of the ion-dust collision would modify the modulational instability of the wave packet and could not admit any stationary envelope solitary waves. 相似文献

Using the standard reductive perturbation technique,a nonlinear Schroedinger equation is derived to study the modulational instability of finite-amplitude ion-acoustic waves in a non-magnetized warm plasma. It is found that the inclusion of ion temperature in the equation modifies the nature of the ion-acoustic wave stability and the soliton stuctures. The effects of ion plasma temperature on the modulational stability and ion-acoustic wave properties are inestigated in detail. 相似文献

In consideration of adiabatic dust charge variation, the
combined effect of the external magnetized field and the dust
temperature on head-on collision of the three-dimensional dust
acoustic solitary waves is investigated. By using the extended
Poincar\'e--Lighthill--Kuo method, the phase shifts and the
trajectories of two solitons after the collision are obtained. The
effects of the magnitude and the obliqueness of the external
magnetic field and the dust temperature on the
solitary wave collisions are discussed in detail. 相似文献
