We propose and discuss the mechanisms of terahertz sd exchange radiation during transmission of the spin-polarized current in a structure from a thin steel rod pressured to an ultrathin ferromagnetic film. The two mechanisms considered are quantum transitions between the quasi-Fermi levels in the film near the rod and precession of injected spins around the film magnetization. 相似文献

The stability of equilibrium configurations of magnetic junctions with a free layer of cubic anisotropy with two axes in the layer plane has been analyzed. Variants of switching between different configurations have been considered. It has been demonstrated that the possibility exists of considerably decreasing the threshold current density necessary for switching. Numerical simulation of the dynamics of switching between different configurations has been performed. 相似文献

We investigate a perpendicular electric current passing through a “ferromagnetic nanojunction”, that is through some layered nanosized structure of spin-valve type, containing two ferromagnetic metallic layers. Spacer may be used between the metallic layers to prevent the rotation of the moving spin phases. Such an arrangement is typical for spin valves: one of the metallic layers has strongly pinned magnetic lattice and the other one has free magnetic lattice and free mobile spins. Further the conditions are derived to provide a very high nonequilibrium spin injection level. It appears that the so-called spin resistances of the constitutive layers should be in definite relations to each other. These relations lead to the situation where the spin injection becomes dominant and significantly suppresses the “ordinary” spin-transfer torque. As a result, the threshold current becomes lowered down to 2-3 and even more orders of magnitude. 相似文献

The elastic moduli of the dense polycrystalline oxygen‐bearing η‐Ta2N3, a novel hard and tough high‐pressure (HP) material, were measured using the laser ultrasonic technique. The bulk modulus was determined to be B0 = 281(15) GPa which is only ~11% below that from HP compression measurements. Our value of the shear modulus G0 = 123(2) GPa is below those ones predicted theoretically for model structures. The discrepancies in G0 could be due to a substitution of an‐ ions and the formation of cation vacancies in η‐Ta2N3. Self‐healing behaviour of η‐Ta2N3 by mechanical polishing was observed and confirmed by two independent experimental methods. (© 2012 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim) 相似文献

Spin-polarized current can tilt magnetic sublattices in an antiferromagnetic layer of a ferromagnet-antiferromagnet junction without imposing any external magnetic field. Thus, the current can induce magnetization in the antiferromagnetic layer. This effect seemingly took place in experiments on the observation of terahertz emission at the precession frequencies of current-induced magnetization. In this work, the mechanisms of motion of the induced magnetization, as well as the possibility of detection and generation of radiation emitted during such motion, are suggested and discussed. The notion of spin-injection antiferromagnetic resonance is introduced. 相似文献

The work presented is devoted to studies of foundations of the suppression techniques for electromagnetically induced instabilities of the free liquid metal surfaces. Such instabilities occur, for instance, in a number of technologies for requested refinement of materials like electron beam evaporation or levitation melting, in which the electromagnetic shaping technique is applied. The instability phenomenon in our case has following magnetohydrodynamic background. High-frequency magnetic field causes Lorentz force density generation within so-called skin-layer in the liquid metal, which works as a surface pressure in turn. With increase of the electromagnetic pressure a destabilizing mechanism progresses within the liquid metal domain, which causes a bifurcation. In this paper we discuss application alternating magnetic fields to increase the bifurcation threshold by passive and active redistribution of the Lorentz force density in the near-surface layers of the liquid metal domain. A novel stabilization system on the basis of a local electromagnetic influence on the liquid metal surface in the high frequency magnetic field is presented. The experimental results are discussed. A theoretical solution is proposed to predict acoustic waves generated in a homogeneous and isotropic hollow cylinder by a laser line source under either ablation or thermoelastic regime. The Fourier series expansion is introduced for one spatial coordinate to solve this transient response problem. Theoretical displacements are obtained in both regimes for aluminum hollow cylinders with various thickness including a rod of the same size. The corresponding displacements are observed experimentally by the laser ultrasonic technique. Agreement has been found in the time arrival, shape and relative amplitude of surface waves and various longitudinal and transverse bulk waves. These acoustic waves are further identified by the ray trajectory analysis. This work will be helpful when dealing with the inverse problem of the nondestructive evaluation of hollow cylindrical parts. 相似文献

In laser ultrasonics, when focusing strongly the pump
beam, a three-dimensional (3D) diffracted acoustic field can be generated.
Considering weakly absorbing materials, the 3D interaction of this elastic
perturbation with the optical detection beam must be taken into account. A
semi-analytical model is proposed to describe such phenomena in
reflectometric measurements. Once the acoustooptic interaction has been
partially linearized, the resulting inhomogeneous differential system is
solved using the matricant method. Good agreement is found comparing the
calculated results with the experimental data in an aluminum film. 相似文献

Experiments with an all-optical method for the study of the nonlinear acoustics of cracks in solids are reported. Nonlinear acoustic waves are initiated by the absorption of radiation from a pair of laser beams intensity modulated at two different frequencies. The detection of acoustic waves at mixed frequencies, absent in the frequency spectrum of the heating lasers, by optical interferometry or deflectometry provides unambiguous evidence of the elastic nonlinearity of the crack. The high contrast in crack imaging achieved by remote optical monitoring of the nonlinear acoustic processes is due to the strong dependence of the efficiency of optoacoustic conversion on the state of the crack. The highest acoustic nonlinearity is observed in the transitional state of the crack, which is intermediate between the open and the closed ones. 相似文献
