A new oxazolidine derivative was obtained from phenol, 2‐amino‐2‐methylpropane‐1,3‐diol and paraformaldehyde. The reaction of this novel oxazolidine diol with phenylisocyanate lead to a urethane model compound which can be polymerized thermally by oxazolidine ring opening to give a Mannich bridge structure. Linear segmented polyurethanes were prepared by reaction of different ratios of oxazolidine diol and commercial polyethylenglycol (Mw ~ 400) with 4,4′‐methylenbis (cyclohexylisocyanate) (HMDI, 90% isomers mixture). The polyurethanes were thermally characterized and crosslinked by oxazolidine ring opening to obtain materials which showed improved thermal stability. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. [reaction: see text] The enzymatic degradation of starch can be monitored electronically using single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) as semiconducting probes in field-effect transistors (FETs). Incubation of these devices in aqueous buffer solutions of amyloglucosidase (AMG) results in the removal of the starch from both the silicon surfaces and the side walls of the SWNTs in the FETs, as evidenced by direct imaging and electronic measurements.  相似文献

2-(Diethylaminomethyl)phenyl bromide and 1,3-bis(dimethylaminomethyl)-benzene, useful ligands for the synthesis of hypervalent organometallic compounds, were prepared and characterized by NMR (1H, 13C, 2D experiments) spectroscopy. Their synthesis was monitored by the HPLC method. The compounds were eluted on a Nucleosil 120 Si column (5 μm, 25×0.4 cm) with n-hexane at room temperature using a 1.0 ml/min flow-rate. The maximum values of absorbance for the studied compounds, excepting the diethylamine, were located in a narrow range around 212 nm, the wavelength used for their UV detection. The diethylamine was detected at 190 nm. The calibration curves are straight lines with correlation factors r>0.995. The HPLC data are in good agreement with those provided by NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

By following a new synthetic approach, which is based on the in situ formation of a basic medium by the reaction between the strong base Sb(V)S43? and the weak acid H2O, it was possible to prepare three layered thioantimonate(III) compounds of composition [TM(2,2′‐bipyridine)3][Sb6S10] (TM=Ni, Fe) and [Ni(4,4′‐dimethyl‐2,2′‐bipyridine)3][Sb6S10] under hydrothermal conditions featuring two different thioantimonate(III) network topologies. The antimony source, Na3SbS4 ? 9 H2O, undergoes several decomposition reactions and produces the SbIIIS3 species, which condenses to generate the layered anion. The application of transition‐metal complexes avoids crystallization of dense phases. The reactions are very fast compared to conventional hydrothermal/solvothermal syntheses and are much less sensitive to changes of the reaction parameters.  相似文献

Listeners with sensorineural hearing loss are poorer than listeners with normal hearing at understanding one talker in the presence of another. This deficit is more pronounced when competing talkers are spatially separated, implying a reduced "spatial benefit" in hearing-impaired listeners. This study tested the hypothesis that this deficit is due to increased masking specifically during the simultaneous portions of competing speech signals. Monosyllabic words were compressed to a uniform duration and concatenated to create target and masker sentences with three levels of temporal overlap: 0% (non-overlapping in time), 50% (partially overlapping), or 100% (completely overlapping). Listeners with hearing loss performed particularly poorly in the 100% overlap condition, consistent with the idea that simultaneous speech sounds are most problematic for these listeners. However, spatial release from masking was reduced in all overlap conditions, suggesting that increased masking during periods of temporal overlap is only one factor limiting spatial unmasking in hearing-impaired listeners.  相似文献

The (1)H NMR water signal from spectroscopic voxels localized in gray matter contains contributions from tissue and cerebral spinal fluid (CSF). A typically weak CSF signal at short echo times makes separating the tissue and CSF spin-lattice relaxation times (T(1)) difficult, often yielding poor precision in a bi-exponential relaxation model. Simulations show that reducing the variables in the T(1) model by using known signal intensity values significantly improves the precision of the T(1) measurement. The method was validated on studies on eight healthy subjects (four males and four females, mean age 21 +/- 2 years) through a total of twenty-four spectroscopic relaxation studies. Each study included both T(1) and spin-spin relaxation (T(2)) experiments. All volumes were localized along the Sylvian fissure using a stimulated echo localization technique with a mixing time of 10 ms. The T(2) experiment consisted of 16 stimulated echo acquisitions ranging from a minimum echo time (TE) of 20 ms to a maximum of 1000 ms, with a repetition time of 12 s. All T(1) experiments consisted of 16 stimulated echo acquisition, using a homospoil saturation recovery technique with a minimum recovery time of 50 ms and a maximum 12 s. The results of the T(2) measurements provided the signal intensity values used in the bi-exponential T(1) model. The mean T(1) values when the signal intensities were constrained by the T(2) results were 1055.4 ms +/- 7.4% for tissue and 5393.5 ms +/- 59% for CSF. When the signal intensities remained free variables in the model, the mean T(1) values were 1085 ms +/- 19.4% and 5038.8 ms +/- 113.0% for tissue and CSF, respectively. The resulting improvement in precision allows the water tissue T(1) value to be included in the spectroscopic characterization of brain tissue.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the concept of coderivative and other tools from the generalized differentiation theory for set-valued mappings to study the stability of the feasible sets of both the primal and the dual problem in infinite-dimensional linear optimization with infinitely many explicit constraints and an additional conic constraint. After providing some specific duality results for our dual pair, we study the Lipschitz-like property of both mappings and also give bounds for the associated Lipschitz moduli. The situation for the dual shows much more involved than the case of the primal problem.  相似文献
