In the present paper, Electron Paramagnetic Resonance, Ionic Thermocurrents and photoluminescence (emission and excitation) measurements have been performed in crystals of manganese- doped NaCl which were exposured to room temperature X-irradiation. The results obtained indicate that the diffusion of the Mn2+ - cation vacancy dipoles, originally present in the quenched samples, is considerably enhanced by ionizing radiation leading to the formation of a second phase precipitate which appears to be related with the Suzuki phase of the manganese ions in the host NaCl, as revealed from the EPR and optical data.  相似文献

The present work focuses on the interaction between the zwitterionic surfactant N-hexadecyl-N,N-dimethyl-3-ammonio-1-propanesulfonate (HPS) and the giant extracellular hemoglobin of Glossoscolex paulistus (HbGp). Electronic optical absorption, fluorescence emission and circular dichroism spectroscopy techniques, together with Gel-filtration chromatography, were used in order to evaluate the oligomeric dissociation as well as the autoxidation of HbGp as a function of the interaction with HPS. A peculiar behavior was observed for the HPS–HbGp interaction: a complex ferric species formation equilibrium was promoted, as a consequence of the autoxidation and oligomeric dissociation processes. At pH 7.0, HPS is more effective up to 1 mM while at pH 9.0 the surfactant effect is more intense above 1 mM. Furthermore, the interaction of HPS with HbGp was clearly less intense than the interaction of this hemoglobin with cationic (CTAC) and anionic (SDS) surfactants. Probably, this lower interaction with HPS is due to two factors: (i) the lower electrostatic attraction between the HPS surfactant and the protein surface ionic sites when compared to the electrostatic interaction between HbGp and cationic and anionic surfactants, and (ii) the low cmc of HPS, which probably reduces the interaction of the surfactant in the monomeric form with the protein. The present work emphasizes the importance of the electrostatic contribution in the interaction between ionic surfactants and HbGp. Furthermore, in the whole HPS concentration range used in this study, no folding and autoxidation decrease induced by this surfactant were observed. This is quite different from the literature data on the interaction between surfactants and tetrameric hemoglobins, that supports the occurrence of this behavior for the intracellular hemoglobins at low surfactant concentration range. Spectroscopic data are discussed and compared with the literature in order to improve the understanding of hemoglobin–surfactant interaction as well as the acid isoelectric point (pI) influence of the giant extracellular hemoglobins on their structure–activity relationship.  相似文献

Copper (II) acetylacetonate was immobilised directly onto two clays, laponite (Lap) and K10-montmorillonite (K10), and after their amine functionalisation with (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES). All the materials were characterised by nitrogen adsorption isotherms at -196 degrees C, elemental analysis, TG-DSC, XRD, and IR spectroscopy. The K10-based materials were also characterised by XPS. The APTES-functionalised K10 showed higher copper loading than K10, indicating that the clay functionalisation enhanced the complex immobilisation; on the contrary, in Lap-based materials higher metal content was obtained by direct complex anchoring, probably due to the delaminated nature of Lap which induced the particles aggregation on functionalisation with APTES. All the results pointed out that the Cu complex was anchored onto the amine-functionalised clays by Schiff condensation between the amine groups of anchored APTES and the carbonyl groups of the acetylacetonate ligand, whereas direct immobilisation proceeded mostly through interaction between the metal centre and the clay surface hydroxyl groups.  相似文献

New bis‐ and tris(iminopyrrole)‐functionalized linear (1,2‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 2 ), 1,3‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 3 ), 1,4‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 4 ), 4,4′‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐(C6H4‐C6H4) ( 5 ), 1,5‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 6 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 7 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C14H8 ( 8 )) and star‐shaped (1,3,5‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N‐1,4‐C6H4)3‐C6H3 ( 9 )) π‐conjugated molecules were synthesized by the condensation reactions of 2‐formylpyrrole ( 1 ) with several aromatic di‐ and triamines. The corresponding linear diboron chelate complexes (Ph2B[1,3‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 10 ), Ph2B[1,4‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 11 ), Ph2B[4,4′‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐biphenyl]BPh2 ( 12 ), Ph2B[1,5‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 13 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 14 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐anthracenyl]BPh2 ( 15 )) and the star‐shaped triboron complex ([4′,4′′,4′′′‐tris(iminopyrrolyl)‐1,3,5‐triphenylbenzene](BPh2)3 ( 16 )) were obtained in moderate to good yields, by the treatment of 3 – 9 with B(C6H5)3. The ligand precursors are non‐emissive, whereas most of their boron complexes are highly fluorescent; their emission color depends on the π‐conjugation length. The photophysical properties of the luminescent polyboron compounds were measured, showing good solution fluorescence quantum yields ranging from 0.15 to 0.69. DFT and time‐dependent DFT calculations confirmed that molecules 10 and 16 are blue emitters, because only one of the iminopyrrolyl groups becomes planar in the singlet excited state, whereas the second (and third) keeps the same geometry. Compound 13 , in which planarity is not achieved in any of the groups, is poorly emissive. In the other examples ( 11 , 12 , 14 , and 15 ), the LUMO is stabilized, narrowing the gap between the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (HOMO–LUMO), and the two iminopyrrolyl groups become planar, extending the size of the π‐system, to afford green to yellow emissions. Organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) were fabricated by using the new polyboron complexes and their luminance was found to be in the order of 2400 cd m?2, for single layer devices, increasing to 4400 cd m?2 when a hole‐transporting layer is used.  相似文献

Apicultural products have been widely used in diet complements as well as in phytotherapy. Bee pollen from Echium plantagineum was analysed by high‐performance liquid chromatography/photodiode‐array detection coupled to ion trap mass spectrometry (HPLC‐PAD‐MSn) with an electrospray ionisation interface. The structures have been determined by the study of the ion mass fragmentation, which characterises the interglycosidic linkage in glycosylated flavonoids and differentiates positional isomers. Twelve non‐coloured flavonoids were characterised, being kaempferol‐3‐O‐neohesperidoside the major compound, besides others in trace amounts. These include quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin glycosides, with several of them being isomers. Acetylated derivatives are also described. This is the first time that non‐coloured flavonoids are reported from this pollen, with MS fragmentation proving to be most useful in the elucidation of isomeric structures. A dispersant for multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) is proposed that fulfils the requirements of creating a uniform dispersion in the matrix and obtaining a good interface between CNTs and the matrix, and is soluble in generic nonpolar solvents. This dispersant is based on a long chain surfactant, called in this work dabcosil stearate, containing a stearate-based 18-carbon alkyl chain as an anion, and a silsesquioxane containing a bridged, positively charged 1,4-diazoniabicyclo[2.2.2]octane group. It provides not only a very good dispersion medium for the MWCNTs, but also a very good interface between MWCNTs and ceramic matrices, such as alumina and zirconia, prepared by the sol-gel method.  相似文献

The reaction of [MoO(2)Cl(2)(di-tBu-bipy)] (1) (di-tBu-bipy = 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridine) with water at 100-120 °C in a Teflon-lined stainless steel autoclave, in an open reflux system, or in a microwave synthesis system gave the octanuclear complex [Mo(8)O(22)(OH)(4)(di-tBu-bipy)(4)] (2) as a microcrystalline powder in good yields. Single crystals of 2 suitable for X-ray diffraction were obtained by the reaction of MoO(3) and di-tBu-bipy in water at 160 °C for 3 days. The molecular structure of 2 comprises a purely inorganic core, Mo(4)O(8)(μ(3)-OH)(2)(μ(2)-O)(2), attached to two peripheral oxo-bridged binuclear units, Mo(2)O(4)(μ(2)-O)(2)(OH)(di-tBu-bipy)(2). The inorganic core is composed of a unique assembly of four {MoO(5)} distorted square pyramids connected to each other via edge-sharing. Overall, the octanuclear complex adopts a highly distorted form strongly resembling an "S"-shaped molecular unit. Complex 2 was applied in the catalytic epoxidation of the biorenewable olefins DL-limonene (Lim) and methyl oleate (Ole), using tert-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) as an oxygen donor, under mild reaction conditions (55 °C, air). The reactions of Lim and Ole gave the respective epoxide monomers in fairly high selectivities at high conversions (89% 1,2-epoxy-p-menth-8-ene selectivity at 96% Lim conversion; 99% methyl 9,10-epoxystearate selectivity at 94% Ole conversion, reached within 24 h reaction). Iodometric titrations revealed no measurable "non-productive" decomposition of TBHP.  相似文献

Passive transport across cell membranes is the major route for the permeation of xenobiotics through tight endothelia such as the blood–brain barrier. The rate of passive permeation through lipid bilayers for a given drug is therefore a critical step in the prediction of its pharmacodynamics. We describe a detailed study on the kinetics and thermodynamics for the interaction of chlorpromazine (CPZ), an antipsychotic drug used in the treatment of schizophrenia, with neutral and negatively charged lipid bilayers. Isothermal titration calorimetry was used to study the partition and translocation of CPZ in lipid membranes composed of pure POPC, POPC:POPS (9:1), and POPC:Chol:POPS (6:3:1). The membrane charge due to the presence of POPS as well as the additional charge resulting from the introduction of CPZ in the membrane were taken into account, allowing the calculation of the intrinsic partition coefficients (K(P)) and the enthalpy change (ΔH) associated with the process. The enthalpy change upon partition to all lipid bilayers studied is negative, but a significant entropy contribution was also observed for partition to the neutral membrane. Because of the positive charge of CPZ, the presence of negatively charged lipids in the bilayer increases both the observed amount of CPZ that partitions to the membrane (KP(obs)) and the magnitude of ΔH. However, when the electrostatic effects are discounted, the intrinsic partition coefficient was smaller, indicating that the hydrophobic contribution was less significant for the negatively charged membrane. The presence of cholesterol strongly decreases the affinity of CPZ for the bilayer in terms of both the amount of CPZ that associates with the membrane and the interaction enthalpy. A quantitative characterization of the rate of CPZ translocation through membranes composed of pure POPC and POPC:POPS (9:1) was also performed using an innovative methodology developed in this work based on the kinetics of the heat evolved due to the interaction of CPZ with the membranes.  相似文献
