Results of multinuclear MAS NMR spectroscopy are reported for poly (ε‐caprolactone)/maghnite nanocomposite formation, with ε‐caprolactone in situ polymerized in the presence of maghnite, a proton exchanged montmorillonite clay. Exfoliated and intercalated materials with different maghnite loading in the range 3–15 wt % were investigated. 1H NMR evidences Brønsted acid hydroxyl groups in the silicate layers and shows that their broad signal at 7.6 ppm present in the parent clay disappears in the nanocomposite material. 27Al MAS NMR results show that beside the hexacoordinated aluminum signal, two additional peaks corresponding to two different tetrahedral Al sites are present in the clay framework. The NMR signal intensity of only one of them was found to be affected in the nanocomposites compared with the parent maghnite, suggesting that these specific aluminum sites are the reactive ones at the initial stages of the polymerization. However almost no changes occurred in the 29Si NMR spectra, confirming that the polymer grafting, as indicated earlier by atomic force microscopy, took place on the aluminum tetracoordinated sites rather than on the silicon sites. A mechanism of maghnite surface catalyzed polymerization of ε‐caprolactone was proposed, involving Brønsted and Lewis acid sites. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new route for the preparation of powdery metal, oxide and hydroxide materials is presented as a chimie douce alternative to the sol-gel method. It consists in the reduction or the hydrolysis of a metal salt dissolved and heated in a polyol medium. It appears through zinc and cobalt examples that the use of acetate precursors contrarily to chloride or sulfate ones leads to the precipitation of a solid (metal, oxide, hydroxide) whose nature depends on two main factors: the hydrolysis ratio, defined by the water to metal molar ratio, and the reaction temperature. As in the sol-gel method, acetate leads to the formation of intermediate alkoxyacetate complex. The absence of water favors metal formation while its presence favors oxide or hydroxyacetate formation.  相似文献

1, 2-Di-(p-methoxyphenyl)-ethane-1, 2-diol gave in acid media bis-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-acetaldehyde, 4-4′-dimethoxy-deoxybenzoin, and 1, 2-di-(p-methoxyphenyl)-ethylene oxide; their respective yields being influenced by at least 3 factors: (i) the acid, (ii) its concentration, and (iii) the reaction period. Bis-(4-methoxyphenyl)-acetaldehyde rearranged to the deoxybenzoin in boiling sulfuric (50%) or phosphoric (75%) acids (w/w), and to two isomeric 1, 2-diacetoxy-1, 2-di-(p-methoxyphenyl) ethanes when it was heated with acetic anhydride. Solid-state kinetics was developed from kinetic concepts for reactions in homogeneous phase systems, which has created considerable debate over issues such as variable activation energy. This behavior has been viewed by some as a violation of basic chemical kinetic principles. Variation in activation energy has been detected by isoconversional or ‘model-free’ calculation methods. The relationship between different calculation methods and the occurrence of variable activation energy was investigated in this work by employing model-fitting and isoconversional methods to analyze simulated isothermal data. In addition, these approaches were applied for sulfameter-dioxolane solvate desolvation data. We showed that variable activation energy is of two types—a true variation that results from the complex nature of the solid-state process and an artifactual one resulting from the use of some isoconversional methods.  相似文献

Electrical resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, and electron paramagnetic resonance measurements were carried out for cubic hexaboride KB(6), which is one electron short of completely filling its conduction band. It is found that KB(6) is not metallic and has localized spins. KB(6) exhibits a highly unusual hysteresis in the magnetic susceptibility below 100 K, which suggests that it undergoes a slow relaxation process.  相似文献

Spirulina is a kind of blue-green algae (BGA) that is multicellular, filamentous, and prokaryotic. It is also known as a cyanobacterium. It is classified within the phylum known as blue-green algae. Despite the fact that it includes a high concentration of nutrients, such as proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids—in particular, the necessary omega-3 fatty acids and omega-6 fatty acids—the percentage of total fat and cholesterol that can be found in these algae is substantially lower when compared to other food sources. This is the case even if the percentage of total fat that can be found in these algae is also significantly lower. In addition to this, spirulina has a high concentration of bioactive compounds, such as phenols, phycocyanin pigment, and polysaccharides, which all take part in a number of biological activities, such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. As a result of this, spirulina has found its way into the formulation of a great number of medicinal foods, functional foods, and nutritional supplements. Therefore, this article makes an effort to shed light on spirulina, its nutritional value as a result of its chemical composition, and its applications to some food product formulations, such as dairy products, snacks, cookies, and pasta, that are necessary at an industrial level in the food industry all over the world. In addition, this article supports the idea of incorporating it into the food sector, both from a nutritional and health perspective, as it offers numerous advantages.  相似文献
