In this work, we present a systematic study on the influence of Cu2+ ion concentration in the impregnation solution on the morphology, structure, optical, semiconducting, and photoelectrochemical properties of anodic CuOx-TiO2 materials. Studied materials were prepared by immersion in solutions with different concentrations of (CH3COO)2Cu and subjected to air-annealing at 400 °C, 500 °C, or 600 °C for 2 h. The complex characterization of all studied samples was performed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD), reflectance measurements, Mott–Schottky analyses, and photocurrent measurements. It was found that band gap engineering based on coupling CuO with TiO2 (Eg~3.3 eV) is an effective strategy to increase the absorption in visible light due to band gap narrowing (CuOx-TiO2 materials had Eg~2.4 eV). Although the photoactivity of CuO-TiO2 materials decreased in the UV range due to the deposition of CuO on the TiO2 surface, in the Vis range increased up to 600 nm at the same time.  相似文献

Trying to meet the multitarget-directed ligands strategy, a series of previously described aryl-substituted phenylalanine derivatives, reported as competitive antagonists of α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA) receptors, were screened in vitro for their free-radical scavenging and antioxidant capacity in two different assays: ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) and oxygen radical absorbance capacity fluorescent (ORAC-FL) assays. The most active antioxidants 1 and 8 were further examined to evaluate their neuroprotective properties in vitro. In this study, compound 1 showed a significant neuroprotective effect against the neurotoxin 6-hydroxydopamine in neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y and IMR-32 cell lines. Both compounds also showed prevention from high levels of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in SH-SY5Y cells. Furthermore, the desired monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) inhibition effect (IC50 = 278 ± 29 nM) for 1 was determined. No toxic effects up to 100 µM of 1 and 8 against neuroblastoma cells were observed. Furthermore, in vivo studies showed that compound 1 demonstrated significant anticonvulsant potential in 6-Hz test, but in neuropathic pain models its antiallodynic and antihyperalgesic properties were not observed. Concluding, the compound 1 seems to be of higher importance as a new phenylalanine-based lead candidate due to its confirmed promise in in vitro and in vivo anticonvulsant activity.  相似文献

Phase diagrams of some binary aqueous systems with tetraalkylammonium fluorides are examined. The size of the hydrophobic moiety of the guest is consecutively varied in the series (i-C5H11)4−k(C4H9)kNF (k=0, 1, 2, 3) by replacing bulky isoamyl radicals with n-butyl radicals. Changes in clathrate formation caused by variations of the sizes and forms of guests are analyzed in the series (i-C5H11)k−4(C4H9)kNF−H2O (k=0, 1, 2, 3, 4). All tetraisoamylammonium fluoride hydrates are more stable than other hydrates of this series. The stability of the compounds increases due to the fact that the isoamyl radicals use the host cavities more effectively than the butyl radicals. In all hydrates of the series, tetragonal structures-I (TS-I), which were earlier thought typical only for hydrates of tetrabutylammonium salts, are formed. Hydrates of the orthorhombic system are formed until three isoamyl radicals have been replaced by butyl radicals. Hydrates with 26–28 water molecules (mp 27.4–34.6°C) are the most stable hydrates of the series, except for i-AmBu3NF·25.9 H2O, melting 0.3°C lower than the tetragonal hydrate in the same system. The K ion lies on the least-squares plane formed by the six oxygen atoms in the macrocyclic ring. NH3 temperature-programmed desorption (NH3-TPD) is frequently used for probing the nature of the active sites in CuSSZ-13 zeolite for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx. Herein, we propose an interpretation of NH3-TPD results, which takes into account the temperature-induced dynamics of NH3 interaction with the active centers. It is based on a comprehensive DFT/GGA+D and first-principles thermodynamic (FPT) modeling of NH3 adsorption on single Cu2+, Cu+, [CuOH]+ centers, dimeric [Cu-O-Cu]2+, [Cu-O22−-Cu]2 species, segregated CuO nanocrystals and Brønsted acid sites (BAS). Theoretical TPD profiles are compared with the experimental data measured for samples of various Si/Al ratios and distribution of Al within the zeolite framework. Copper reduction, its relocation, followed by the intrazeolite olation/oxolation processes, which are concomitant with NH3 desorption, were revealed by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and IR. DFT/FPT results show that the peaks in the desorption profiles cannot be assigned univocally to the particular Cu and BAS centers, since the observed low-, medium- and high-temperature desorption bands have contributions coming from several species, which dynamically change their speciation and redox states during NH3-TPD experiment. Thus, a rigorous interpretation of the NH3-TPD profiles of CuSSZ-13 in terms of the strength and concentration of the active centers of a particular type is problematic. Nonetheless, useful connections for molecular interpretation of TPD profiles can be established between the individual component peaks and the corresponding ensembles of the adsorption centers.  相似文献

The skin is constantly exposed to external and internal factors that disturb its function. In this work, two nanosystems-levan nanoparticles and a surfactin-stabilized nanoemulsion were preserved (tested for microbial growth) and characterized (size, polydispersity, Zeta potential, and stability). The nanosystems were introduced in the model formulations-cream, tonic, and gel, and confirmed by TEM. The analysis showed that nanoemulsion has a spherical morphology and size 220–300 nm, while levan nanoparticles had irregular shapes independently of the use of matrix and with particle size (130–260 nm). Additionally, we examined the antiradical effect of levan nanoparticles and nanoemulsion in the prototype of formulations by scavenging DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl; EPR spectroscopy). The model cream with both nanosystems and the whole range of products with nanosystems were evaluated in vivo for hydration, elasticity, smoothness, wrinkles and vascular lesions, discoloration, respectively. The cream improved skin condition in all tested parameters in at least 50% of volunteers. The use of more comprehensive care, additionally consisting of a tonic and gel, reduced the previously existing skin discoloration to 10.42 ± 0.58%. The presented prototype formulations are promising in improving skin conditions.  相似文献

The antitumor drug, oxaliplatin, induces neuropathic pain, which is resistant to available analgesics, and novel mechanism-based therapies are being evaluated for this debilitating condition. Since activated microglia, impaired serotonergic and noradrenergic neurotransmission and overexpressed sodium channels are implicated in oxaliplatin-induced pain, this in vivo study assessed the effect of minocycline, a microglial activation inhibitor used alone or in combination with ambroxol, a sodium channel blocker, or duloxetine, a serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, on oxaliplatin-induced tactile allodynia and cold hyperalgesia. To induce neuropathic pain, a single dose (10 mg/kg) of intraperitoneal oxaliplatin was used. The mechanical and cold pain thresholds were assessed using mouse von Frey and cold plate tests, respectively. On the day of oxaliplatin administration, only duloxetine (30 mg/kg) and minocycline (100 mg/kg) used alone attenuated both tactile allodynia and cold hyperalgesia 1 h and 6 h after administration. Minocycline (50 mg/kg), duloxetine (10 mg/kg) and combined minocycline + duloxetine influenced only tactile allodynia. Seven days after oxaliplatin, tactile allodynia (but not cold hyperalgesia) was attenuated by minocycline (100 mg/kg), duloxetine (30 mg/kg) and combined minocycline and duloxetine. These results indicate a potential usefulness of minocycline used alone or combination with duloxetine in the treatment of oxaliplatin-induced pain.  相似文献

The title compound, 5,11,17,23-tetra-carboxy-25,26,27,28-tetradodecyloxy-calix[4]arene, 1, has been studied at the air–water interface, self-assembled as Langmuir monolayers, for its ability to interact with an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), acetaminophen (APAP), and to initiate its crystallization. The Π/A isotherm study shows that there is a clear interaction between 1 and APAP causing an expansion of the monolayer. In addition to the known phase transition occurring at a surface tension of 38 mN m?1, an additional kink is observed in the compression isotherm for concentrations of APAP above 40 mM suggesting that this API is causing an additional phase transition of the monolayer. Interface-initiated crystallization studies show that the presence of a monolayer spread on a supersaturated solution of APAP (26 g L?1) triggers this API crystal growth from the interface. The transfer of 1-based monolayers on glass surfaces has been carried out using the Langmuir–Blodgett technique. The so-produced monolayers have been shown to template the crystallization of APAP. LB films of 1 have characterized using imaging and spectroscopic ellipsometry. The results suggest that each monolayer has an average thickness of 18 Å, which is consistent with the molecular structure of 1 self-organized parallel to the interface with the alkyl chains pointing out parallel to the axis of the macrocycle and without interdigitation of the alkyl chains. The presence of APAP in the subphase during the LB transfer causes a limited but relevant increase in the layer thickness. The study of the capabilities of the LB films to initiate crystallization of APAP is also demonstrated showing the influence of the monolayer packing on the quantity of formed crystals.  相似文献
