The total dose effects of 5?MeV proton and Co-60 gamma irradiation in the dose range from 1 to 100?Mrad on advanced 200?GHz Silicon–Germanium heterojunction bipolar transistors (SiGe HBTs) are investigated. The SRIM simulation study was conducted to understand the energy loss of 5?MeV proton ions in SiGe HBT structure. Pre- and post-radiation DC figure of merits such as forward- and inverse-mode Gummel characteristics, excess base current, DC current gain and output characteristics were used to quantify the radiation tolerance of the devices. The results show that the proton creates a significant amount of damages in the surface and bulk of the transistor when compared with gamma irradiation. The SiGe HBTs shows robust ionizing radiation tolerance even up to a total dose of 100?Mrad for both radiations.  相似文献

Europium (Eu+) ions were confined in a Paul trap and detected by non-destructive method. Storage time of Eu+ ions achieved in vacuum was improved by orders of magnitude employing buffer gas cooling. The experimentally detected signal was fitted to the ion response signal and the total number of ions trapped was estimated. It is found that the peak signal amplitude as well as the product of FWHM and the peak signal amplitude is proportional to the total number of trapped ions. The trapped ion secular frequency was swept at different rates and its effect on the absorption line profile was studied both experimentally and theoretically.  相似文献

A one-pot three-component approach for the synthesis of thiazol-2-imines has been described by the reaction of amine, phenyl isothiocyanate and β-nitroacrylate in [Hbim]BF4 ionic liquid. The method is applicable for aromatic, benzylic, aliphatic and cyclic amines. Reusable reaction media, regioselectivity, mild reaction condition, catalyst free and high yield of products are the salient features of this protocol.  相似文献

We investigated the thermal properties, microphase separated structure and mechanical properties of a series of thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPUs) containing both polyisobutylene (PIB) and poly(tetramethylene oxide) (PTMO) diols in the soft segment (SS). A series of TPUs were prepared with the same weight fraction of the SS but different ratio between PIB and PTMO diols. Molecular weight of the PTMO diol and chemical structure of the hard segment (HS) also varied. Dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) measurements did not reveal strong microphase separation between PIB and PTMO in the SS. While it has been assumed that incorporating PTMO diol into the SS can enhance the phase mixing between the hard segment (HS) and SS, our results indicated that, in most cases, the degree of microphase separation of TPUs based on mixed diols is slightly higher than that of TPUs based on only PIB diol.  相似文献

Studies on photo-catalytic reduction of CO2 using TiO2 photo-catalyst (0.1%, w/v) as a suspension in water was carried out at 350 nm light. CO2 from both commercially available source, as well as generated in situ through 2-propanol oxidation, was used for this study. The photolytic products such as hydrogen (H2), carbon monoxide (CO) andmethane (CH4) generated were monitored in TiO2 suspended aqueous solution with and without a hole scavenger, viz., 2-propanol. Similar photolytic experiments were also carried out with varying ambient such as air, O2, N2 and N2O. The yields of CO and CH4 in all these systems under the present experimental conditions were found to be increasing with light exposure time. H2 yield in N2-purged systems containing 2-propanol was found to be more as compared to the without 2-propanol system. The rate of H2 production in N2-purged aqueous solutions containing 0.1% TiO2 suspension were evaluated to be 0.226 and 5.8 μl/h, without and with 0.5 M 2-propanol, respectively. This confirmed that 2-propanol was an efficient hole scavenger and it scavenged photo-generated holes (h+), allowing its counter ion, viz., e, to react with water molecule/H+ to yield more H2. The formation of both CO and CH4 in the photolysis of CO2-purged aqueous solutions containing suspended TiO2 in absence of 2-propanol reveal that the generation of CH4 is taking place mainly through CO intermediate. In presence of air/O2, the yield of H2 in the system without 2-propanol was observed to be negligible as compared to the system containing 2-propanol in which low yield of H2 was obtained with a formation rate of approx. 0.5 μl/h.  相似文献

The study has prepared highly conducting polymer electrolyte films using solution cast technique with poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) PVDF-HFP, mixture of ethylene carbonate (EC), and propylene carbonate (PC) as plasticizer and latex of Calotropis gigantea (CGL) as an ionic source. In this study, four films are prepared using PVDF-HFP:CGL in ratio 1:1 with the increasing concentration of EC+PC as 1, 2, 3, and 4 M named as 1:1:1, 1:1:2, 1:1:3, 1:1:4. The prepared polymer electrolyte is examined by polarized optical microscopy (POM), elemental dispersive X-ray technique (EDX), and complex impedance spectroscopy. EDX and POM are studied for the surface morphology of all prepared samples and to investigate the porous nature of films. The enhancement in ionic conductivity occurs due to CGL and increasing amount of EC-PC. Conductivity of highest composition (1:1:4) polymer electrolyte film is found to be ≈10−3 S cm−1. The optimized polymer electrolyte film is considered as a promising candidate for application in supercapacitors.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the bivariate lognormal distribution from a reliability point of view. The conditional distribution of X given Y > y is found to be log‐skew normal. The monotonicity of the hazard rates of the univariate as well as the conditional distributions is discussed. Clayton's association measure is obtained in terms of the hazard gradient, and its value in the case of our model is derived. The probability distributions, in the case of series and parallel systems, are derived, and the monotonicity of their failure rates is discussed. Class VII Flextensional Transducers (FTs) have been proposed as a means of overcoming the limitation of very high prestress in Class IV FTs. These transducers are made from shells shaped like dog bone and hence are also known as dog-bone shell transducers. In this work, we report design optimization of a low frequency aluminum shell Class VII FT, resonating at 2.5 kHz, using piezoelectric drive. Two and three dimensional Finite Element Modeling (FEM), with the help of a commercially available package ATILA have been used for the design optimization. Dimensional details of the base model have been adapted from previous literature. Parametric analyses have been done with respect to various aspects like type of rubber, shell height, shell material, etc. in order to optimize the design. Experimental results obtained from an initial prototype are also presented. The results match fairly well with the predicted values.  相似文献

We present an improved variational effective index method for reduction of 2-D Bragg grating problems to 1-D and show significant improvements particularly at smaller wavelengths. The method is based on the optimal variational (Vopt) method, which we have earlier used successfully for conventional waveguides. A 1-D transverse profile along with a longitudinal index variation are reduced to a 1-D longitudinal distribution, reflection and transmission spectra of which have been studied for both the TE and TM modes by transfer matrix methods. An accurate modeling for the out of plane scattering losses has been presented which occur when a guided wave propagating in a conventional waveguide impinges on a photonic crystal waveguide. Taking these losses into account brings the results pretty close to those of a rigorous 2-D Helmholtz solver QUEP, improving them remarkably over the variational EIM (vEIM) results.  相似文献

Polyurethanes were prepared from 4,4′-methylenebis (phenyl isocyanate) (MDI), 1,4-butanediol (BD) and poly (tetrahydrofurane) polyether polyol (PTHF). The -OH functional group ratio of polyol/total diol was kept constant at 0.4 in all experiments, while the ratio of the isocianate and hydroxyl groups (NCO/OH) changed between 0.940 and 1.150. Melt polymerization was carried out in an internal mixer. The polymers were characterized with a number of methods including GPC, FTIR, WAXS, DSC, DMA and tensile testing. Changing stoichiometry modifies molecular weight as expected, but the relative concentration of end-groups also changes at the same time. The respective end-groups preferentially associate with each other leading to phase separation. -OH end-groups enter into weaker interactions with each other than urethane and amine groups. The extent of phase separation, as well as the size and properties of the dispersed phase depend on composition. Each property of the polymer is affected differently by molecular weight and phase separation. Melt viscosity depends mostly on the length of the molecules, ultimate tensile properties are influenced also by interactions, while stiffness is determined almost exclusively by phase structure.  相似文献
