A micro-phase sorbent in situ formation from an aqueous solution was proposed for the sensitive spectrophotometric determination of nitrite in environmental waters. Nitrite in a 10 mL sample solution was converted into a cationic azo dye by the reaction with 4-trifluoromethylanilinium ion and N-1-naphthylethylenediammonium ion in an acidic medium. Addition of dodecylbenzenesulfonate ion caused the formation of a suspension of ion associate in the solution. Centrifugation of the solution led to the isolation of a liquid organic phase that extracted the azo dye at the bottom of the centrifuge tube. The volume of the new phase was ca. 5 microL. After the aqueous phase was discarded, the organic phase was dissolved with 1 mL of 2-methoxyethanol to measure the absorbance. Nitrogen as NO2- at concentrations from 1.5 to 30 microg L(-1) was determined with sufficient precision. When 0.2 mL of 2-methoxyethanol was applied to dissolve the organic phase, 0.3-4.8 microg NO2--N L(-1) was determined. The recovery tests for nitrite added to some river water and seawater were satisfactory. This method is very simple and rapid. It takes only 30 min from the dye formation to the measurement of the absorbance.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss two key aspects of magnetisation reversal in magnetic thin films with perpendicular anisotropy. Firstly, a study has been made of the additional field required to erase data written perpendicular to a thin film recording disk as the linear data density is increased. It has been found that an increase in data density from 40 to 360 kfci results in an increase of 1.25 kOe in the field required to erase the data. Secondly, the effect of varying the level of exchange coupling by co-sputtering CoCrPt samples with SiO2 has been studied using a characterisation technique that is independent of the self-demagnetising field. It has been found that the samples are fully exchange de-coupled when the film contains >9.8% SiO2 and the activation volume of reversal remains constant for higher levels of SiO2.  相似文献

Oxopropyl E-(pyrrolidine-2-ylidene)glycinamide (5c) and allyl E-(pyrrolidine-2-ylidene)glycinate (5d) were effectively synthesized from 2,3,5-tri-O-benzyl-4-O-tert-butyldimethylsilyl(TBDMS)-D-arabinal (7) using intramolecular 1,3-dipolar cyclic reaction of azide and olefin as a key reaction. These results proved this cyclic reaction should be applicable for the synthesis of various (pyrrolidine-2-ylidene)glycinate and glycinamide. In addition, the development of a synthetic route for the precursor of an unsaturated cyclic dehydro amino acid involved in azinomycins (carzinophilin) using relating glycinate, methyl E-(pyrrolidine-2-ylidene)glycinate (5a) was described.  相似文献

Antioxidant activity of a series of hydroxybenzalacetones was determined against peroxynitrite-induced lipid peroxidation in red blood cell membrane and SOS response through DNA damage in bacterial cells. Hydroxybenzalacetone derivatives with hydroxy, methoxy, ethoxy or methyl substitution were analyzed and found to be more effective than the water-soluble vitamin E analogue Trolox. The inhibitory effect against lipid peroxidation correlated well to that against the SOS response, which is dependent on decomposition of peroxynitrite by hydroxybenzalacetones outside of the cell membrane. The antioxidant activity was shown to correlate well with the electric parameter sigma+. Electron-donating substituents with more negative sigma+ values increased the potencies. The result suggests that hydroxybenzalacetones with more electron-donating substituents will protect tissue more effectively against oxidative stress.  相似文献

Cheletropic additions forming cyclopropane rings were studied theoretically. Ten addition paths were traced by means of density-functional-theory calculations. Two 1,4-dienes, 1,4-pentadiene, and tricyclo[5.3.1.04,9]undeca-2,5-diene were adopted as substrates. CO, SO2, C2H5PCl2, CCl2 and SiCl2 were employed as cheletropic reagents (Xs). An orbital correlation diagram of the Woodward–Hoffmann (W–H) rule and frontier molecular orbital (FMO) interactions between them were investigated in detail. The FMO interactions, HOMO (1,4-diene)lumo (X) and homo (X)LUMO (diene), work reasonably for the progress of the reactions. Those cause the formation of two C–X bonds and a cyclopropane ring, and alternation of double bonds to single bonds. All the additions are concerted. The easiness of the ring formation depends upon the energy gap between HOMO and lumo and that between homo and LUMO, and the spatial directions of HOMO and LUMO extensions. Symmetry conservation of the W–H rule does not hold necessarily for those addition paths. We have investigated analysis of anion radicals of phenanthrenequinone (PhQ) and anthraquinone (AQ) using acetonitrile-capillary electrophoresis (CE) under anaerobic conditions. PhQ and AQ have relatively high negative reduction potentials meaning that their anion radicals are re-oxidized quite readily by the surrounding O(2) to disappear during analysis and we failed to detect them with our previous system. In this work, we have developed an on-line system combining a unique electrolysis cell for generation of the radicals and a CE unit to keep the analysis system free from external O(2) molecules and to reduce analysis time remarkably. As a result, electrophoretic detection of the anion radicals of PhQ and AQ has been achieved. Furthermore, we have observed hydrogen-bonding interaction between the anion radicals and dimethylurea (DMU) using the present system and have indicated a characteristic interaction of the anion radical of PhQ as an ortho-quinone with DMU.  相似文献

Three new pseudoguaiane-type sesquiterpenes, dichrocepholides A-C, and two new pseudoguaiane-type sesquiterpene dimers, dichrocepholides D and E, were isolated from the aerial part of Dichrocephala integrifolia. Their stereostructures were determined on the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence. In addition, the extract and its principal sesquiterpene constituent, parthenin, showed an inhibitory activity on nitric oxide (NO) production and on induction of inducible NO synthase.  相似文献

Abstract— The kinetics of enzymatic photoreactivation (PR) of u.v.-induced killing was compared among E. coli Bs-1, phage T1 in Bs-1 and phage T1 in irradiated Bs-1. The PR action spectrum showed no substantial difference between PR of Bs-1 and PR of T1 in Bs-1. The PR D37 (i.e. the PR dose required to reactivate all but 37 per cent of the reactivable lethal lesions) was found to decrease linearly with decreasing U.V. dose whether U.V. was given to produce pyrimidine dimers in Bs-1 DNA, which then compete with irradiated T1 DNA for PR enzyme, or to Bs-1 or T1 DNA to produce dimers serving as substrate for the PR enzyme. A generalized Michaelis-Menten formula was used to analyze the data and the following conclusions were drawn. (1) The number of PR enzyme molecules per cell available for PR of T1 DNA inside the Bs-1 host is only a quarter of the number available for PR of the Bs-1 host itself. (2) The Michaelis constant Km for reaction of host-DNA-damage and PR-enzyme becomes larger when the host damage acts as competitive inhibitor to PR of T1 DNA than when it is the substrate for PR enzyme. (3) PR enzyme retains almost all its initial catalytic efficiency even after about two-hundred rounds of catalytic functioning. Conclusions (1) and (2) suggest that PR enzyme is concentrated within the nuclear area surrounding the host DNA.  相似文献

An automated analyzer for vancomycin in rat plasma by column-switching high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV detection was developed. The method includes in-line extraction of vancomycin by ion-exchange cartridge column and a separation on a reversed-phase column with UV detection at 215 nm. Plasma samples were diluted by mobile phase solution and directly injected to HPLC. Vancomycin was quantitatively recovered from rat plasma samples. The separation was completed within 15 min. The calibration curve was linear over the range from 0.5 to 100 microg/mL with the detection and quantification limits of 0.5 microg/mL (2.5 ng on column; signal-to-noise ratio = 3). The values of precision in intra- and inter-day assays (n = 3) were less than 1.92 and 3.69%, respectively. This method does not require time-consuming pre-treatment and is suitable for the routine assay of plasma samples.  相似文献

Gas permeability and permselectivity are investigated for polybenzoxazoles from bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl)-1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane (BAHHP) and aromatic diacid chlorides. Effects of thermal cyclization on the permeation properties are also investigated. The polybenzoxazole from BAHHP and 4,4′-(1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropylidene)dibenzoyl chloride (HFDB) displays high performance for CO2/CH4 separation ( $ {\rm P}_{{\rm CO}_2 } $ = 6.1 × 10?9 cm3 (STP) cm?1 s?1 cm-Hg?1, and $ {{{\rm P}_{{\rm CO}_2 } } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{{\rm P}_{{\rm CO}_2 } } {{\rm P}_{{\rm CH}_4 } }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {{\rm P}_{{\rm CH}_4 } }} $ = 38 at 35°C). The polybenzoxazole from BAHHP and 2,6-naphthalene dicarbonyl chloride displays high performance for H2/CO or H2/CH4 separation ( $ {\rm P}_{{\rm H}_2 } $ = 2.4 × 10?9 cm3 (STP) cm?1 s?1 cm-Hg?1, $ {{{\rm P}_{{\rm H}_2 } } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{{\rm P}_{{\rm H}_2 } } {{\rm P}_{{\rm CO}} }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {{\rm P}_{{\rm CO}} }} $ = 71, and $ {{{\rm P}_{{\rm H}_2 } } \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{{\rm P}_{{\rm H}_2 } } {{\rm P}_{{\rm CH}_{\rm 4} } }}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} {{\rm P}_{{\rm CH}_{\rm 4} } }} $ = 250). Permeation properties for the polybenzoxazole from BAHHP and HFDB are close to those for a polyimide of similar chemical structure.
