This article reports on the synthesis, characterization, and properties of various anthracene‐containing poly (p‐phenylene‐ethynylene)‐alt‐poly(p‐phenylene‐vinylene) (PPE‐PPV) polymers (AnE‐PVs) bearing statistical distributions of various side chains. Primarily, the ratio of linear octyloxy and branched 2‐ethylhexyloxy side chains at the poly(p‐phenylene vinylene) (PPV) parts was varied, leading to the polymers stat, stat1, and stat2. Furthermore, polymers also containing asymmetric substituted PPV and poly(p‐phenylene ethynylene) units (bearing methoxy and 2‐ethylhexyloxy side chains) were prepared yielding stat3, stat4, and stat5. These materials exhibit a broad variation in their photovoltaic properties. It is once more shown that side chains and their distribution can crucially affect the photovoltaic device performance. The introduction of units with asymmetric substitution into these systems seems to be harmful for their utilization in photovoltaic applications. Organic field‐effect transistors were fabricated to investigate hole mobilities in these new materials. Large variance was observed, falling in the range of almost two orders of magnitude, indicating rather different π–π stacking behavior of the polymer backbones owing to side‐chain modifications. Moreover, a selection of the new polymeric systems was investigated regarding their potential for light‐emitting diode (LED) applications. Polymer LEDs using the polymers AnE‐PVstat, ‐stat3, ‐stat4, and ‐stat5, as the active layer showed turn‐on voltage of ~2 V and exhibited red light emission. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Traditional criterions are not sufficient to predict accurately the recurrence of transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the AgNORs via total AgNOR area/nucleus area (TAA/NA) for each cell as a prognostic parameter, in TCC of urinary bladder. Tumor tissues of 20 consecutive cases of male bladder cancer patients were divided into two groups as middle differentiated (LG) and high grade (HG). The extra-tumoral tissue (ETT) samples of 10 males served as control group. A second control group (HC) consisted of five healthy and normal bladder tissue samples. The 3 microm of sections from each paraffin embedded tumoral, extra-tumoral and normal tissue samples served as patient and control groups. After deparaffinization and rehydratation steps, silver (AgNO(3)) staining of nucleolar organizer regions-associated proteins (AgNORs) was performed. Instead of Giemsa stain, we used Hematoxylin for contra staining. The images of the 100 analyzable nuclei from each tissue sample, transferred by means of a video camera and video capture card from microscope and recorded onto a computer. Software was prepared in Delphi language for analysis. Mean (E+02) TAA/NA values of HC, ETT, LG and HG groups were 6.97+2.80, 5.70+1.82, 7.80+3.22 and 9.24+3.88, respectively. Statistical comparisons have shown significant differences between all groups.In conclusion, mean TAA/NA per cell has a potential to be a prognostic parameter. Therefore, further evaluation of big patient series will be useful.  相似文献

Parabolic trough collectors generate thermal energy from solar energy. Especially, they are very convenient for applications in high temperature solar power systems. To determine the design parameters, parabolic trough collectors must be analysed with optical analysis. In addition, thermodynamics (energy and exergy) analysis in the development of an energy efficient system must be achieved. Solar radiation passes through Earth's atmosphere until it reaches on Earth's surface and is focused from the parabolic trough collector to the tube receiver with a transparent insulated envelope. A11 of them constitute a complex mechanism. We investigate the geometry of parabolic trough reflector and characteristics of solar radiation to the reflecting surface through Earth's atmosphere, and calculate the collecting totM energy in the receiver. The parabolic trough collector, of which design parameters are given, is analysed in regard to the energy and exergy analysis considering the meteorological specification in May, June, July and August in 1sparta/TUrkey, and the results are presented.  相似文献

 In this study the reference intervals for folate and vitamin B12 were estimated according to the National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards Approved Guideline C28-A and International Federation of Clinical Chemistry recommendations. The study included 155 women and 124 men between ages 18–40. The health status was confirmed by history, physical examination and a questionnaire. The central 95% reference intervals of serum folate and vitamin B12 for women, determined non-parametrically, were found to be 3.9–18.1 ng/ml and 101–666.7 pg/ml, respectively. The reference values of serum folate and vitamin B12 for men were also found to be 2,5–17.6 ng/ml and 100–699.57 pg/ml, respectively. In this paper, we introduce a mixed integer stochastic programming approach to mean–variance post-tax portfolio management. This approach takes into account of risk in a multistage setting and allows general withdrawals from original capital. The uncertainty on asset returns is specified as a scenario tree. The risk across scenarios is addressed using the probabilistic approach of classical stochastic programming. The tax rules are used with stochastic linear and mixed integer quadratic programming models to compute an overall tax and return-risk efficient multistage portfolio. The incorporation of the risk term in the model provides robustness and leads to diversification over wrappers and assets within each wrapper. General withdrawals and risk aversion have an impact on the distribution of assets among wrappers. Computational results are presented using a study with different scenario trees in order to show the performance of these models.  相似文献

Molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs) as a recognition element for sensors are increasingly of interest and MIP nanoclusters have started to appear in the literature. In this study, we have proposed a novel thiol ligand-capping method with polymerizable methacryloylamido-cysteine (MAC) attached to gold–silver nanoclusters, reminiscent of a self-assembled monolayer and have reconstructed surface shell by synthetic host polymers based on molecular imprinting method for recognition. In this method, methacryloylamidoantipyrine–terbium ((MAAP)2–Tb(III)) has been used as a new metal-chelating monomer via metal coordination–chelation interactions and dipicolinic acid (DPA) which is main participant of Bacillus cereus spores used as a model. Nanoshell sensors with templates give a cavity that is selective for DPA. The DPA can simultaneously chelate to Tb(III) metal ion and fit into the shape-selective cavity. Thus, the interaction between Tb(III) ion and free coordination spheres has an effect on the binding ability of the gold–silver nanoclusters nanosensor. The binding affinity of the DPA imprinted nanoclusters has been investigated by using the Langmuir and Scatchard methods, and the respective affinity constants (K affinity) determined were found to be 1.43 × 104 and 9.1 × 106 mol L?1.  相似文献

Taking into account the recognition element for sensors linked to molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs), a proliferation of interest has been witnessed by those who are interested in this subject. Indeed, MIP nanoparticles are theme which recently has come to light in the literature. The interactions between DPA and MIP particles were studied observing fluorescence measurements. DPA addition caused significant decreases in fluorescence intensity because they induced photoluminescence emission from Au nanoparticles through the specific binding to the recognition sites of the crosslinked nanoshell polymer matrix. The binding affinity of the DPA imprinted nanoparticles has been explored by using the Langmuir and Scatchard methods and the analysis of the quenching results has been performed in terms of the Stern–Volmer equation.  相似文献

The adsorption of polyvinylimidazole (PVI) onto kaolinite from aqueous solutions has been investigated systematically as a function of parameters such as calcination temperature of kaolinite, pH, ionic strength, and temperature. According to the experimental results, the adsorption of PVI increases with pH from 8.50 to 11.50, temperature from 25 to 55 degrees C, and ionic strength from 0 to 0.1 mol L(-1). The kaolinite sample calcined at 600 degrees C has a maximum adsorption capacity. Adsorption isotherms of PVI onto kaolinite have been determined and correlated with common isotherm equations such as Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. The Langmuir isotherm model appeared to fit the isotherm data better than the Freundlich isotherm model. The physical properties of this adsorbent are consistent with the parameters obtained from the isotherm equations. Furthermore, the zeta potentials of kaolinite suspensions have been measured in aqueous solutions of different PVI concentrations and pH. From the experimental results, (i) pH strongly alters the zeta potential of kaolinite; (ii) kaolinite has an isoelectric point at about pH 2.35 in water and about pH 8.75 in 249.9 ppm PVI concentration; (iii) PVI changes the interface charge from negative to positive for kaolinite. The study of temperature effect has been quantified by calculating various thermodynamic parameters such as Gibbs free energy, enthalpy, and entropy changes. The dimensionless separation factor (RL) has shown that kaolinite can be used for adsorption of PVI from aqueous solutions.  相似文献

The possibility of using ionic liquid based chitosan sorbent for the separation and preconcentration of fluoroquinolone antibiotics (marbofloxacin, enoxacin, ofloxacin, ciprofloxacin, and enrofloxacin) has been studied. For this reason, different ionic liquids were prepared and coated on the chitosan sorbent. The conditions of the preconcentration of fluoroquinolones on a microcolumn have been optimized and the extraction efficiencies of the prepared sorbents have been compared. The compounds were eluted with 5 mL of 20% NH3 (v/v, MeOH) solution and determined by HPLC with diode array and fluorescence detector. The limits of detection were found as 4.23 µ g L?1 for marbofloxacin, and 1.09 µg L?1 for enoxacin; 3.23 × 10?3 µg L?1 for ofloxacin; 8.39 × 10?3 µg L?1 for ciprofloxacin; and 19.50 × 10?3 µg L?1 for enrofloxacin. The developed method was applied for the analysis of fluoroquinolone in milk, egg, fish, bovine, and chicken samples and the recoveries were obtained in the range 70–100%.  相似文献

Nine sets of (3 × 3) InP nanofiber samples have been successfully prepared at three different voltages (20, 25, 30 kV) and at three separate heights (5, 7, 10 cm) by electrospinning with a constant precursor flow rate of 0.3 mLh−1. The crystalline structure, thermal, morphologies and nanostructure, electrical, and optical properties of the samples are characterized by X‐ray powder diffractometer (XRD) and thermal gravity‐differential scanning calorimeter (TG‐DSC), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), by Four‐Point Probe Technique (FPPT,) and ultraviolet/visible spectrometry (UV/VIS), respectively. From these measurements, we have found the formation of stoichiometric nanostructured InP with zinc‐blende structure and having lattice parameter of a = 5.874 Å, weight loss of 64.59% and crystallization temperature of 500°C, average fiber diameter of 65.82 nm, the activation energies, Ea, of the samples, and band gap energy, Eg, of the nanofibers developed at constant applied voltage 30 kV. The band gap energies determined at different distances 5, 7, and 10 cm are found to be as 1.29, 1.37, and 1.30 eV, respectively.  相似文献
