Water‐soluble low molecular weight chitosan of nanometer level and its copper complexes were prepared, and characterized by IR spectra, elemental analysis and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). The modes and mechanism of these copper complexes interaction with DNA were studied by a fluorescent probe method and electrophoresis analysis. It is suggested that there are electrostatic and intercalation modes of copper complexes interacting with DNA. At first, the cationic complex electrostaticly binds to the negatively charged phosphate backbone of DNA, and then a portion of the complex intercalates between the base pairs on the DNA duplex strand. Circular dichroism is known to be the feature of a chiral agent which has inspired scientist to study the interesting phenomena of circularly polarized light (CPL) modulated molecular chirality. Although several organic molecules or assemblies have been found to be CPL‐responsive, the influence of CPL on the assembly of chiral coordination compounds remains unknown. Herein, a chiral coordination polymer, which is constructed from achiral agents, was used to study the CPL‐induced enantioselective synthesis. By irradiation with either left‐handed or right‐handed CPL during the reaction and crystallization, enantiomeric excesses of the crystalline product were obtained. Left‐handed CPL resulted in crystals with a left‐handed helical structure, and right‐handed CPL led to crystals with a right‐handed helical structure. It is exciting that the absolute asymmetric synthesis of a chiral coordination polymer could be enantioselective when using CPL, and provides a strategy for the control of the chirality of chiral coordination polymers.  相似文献

Two new halogenated sesquiterpenes, (8β)‐10‐bromo‐3‐chloro‐2,7‐epoxychamigr‐9‐en‐8‐ol ( 1 ) and 2‐bromo‐3‐chlorobisabola‐7(14),11‐diene‐6,10‐diol ( 3 ), and one new phytol‐derived diterpene, 2,3‐epoxyphytyl acetate ( 4 ), along with cis‐ and trans‐1‐methylcyclohexane‐1,4‐diol ( 5 and 6 ) which were isolated from a natural source for the first time but have been previously synthesized, were isolated from the marine red alga Laurencia composita and characterized.
