A large series of 4-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid anilides has been prepared as potential diuretic agents.
The effect of all of the synthesized compounds on the urinary function of the kidney has been investigated. The appearance
of a “structure — diuretic activity” relationship is discussed.

The adsorption of terephthalic acid molecules [C(6)H(4)(COOH)(2)), TPA] on a single layer of graphene grown epitaxially on Ni(111) has been investigated by means of near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) at room temperature. The assignment of the NEXAFS resonances was aided by ab initio calculations for the free TPA molecule. For coverages up to a monolayer the molecular plane of TPA adopts a parallel orientation with regard to the epitaxial graphene (EG) layer. Deprotonation of TPA molecules at one monolayer coverage can be excluded. For TPA multilayers, the molecular plane is tilted on average by approximately 45° with respect to the sample surface. 相似文献

Nematic liquid crystalline elastomer (LCE) actuators possessing both photoluminescent (PL) and stimuli-responsive functions were fabricated and studied. PL-dyes (1-pyrenemethyl acrylate and 4-bromo-2,6-bis-(1?-methyl-benzimidazolyl) pyridine loaded with Eu(III) ion) were synthesised and characterised, and then the dyes were mixed with an acrylate side-on liquid crystalline monomer, a cross-linker and a photo-initiator. Through magnetic field alignment, well-defined LCE micropillar PL actuators were fabricated from the mixed samples by a method combining soft lithography and photo-polymerisation/photo-cross-linking. Microscopic observations indicated that the LCE micropillars showed reversible thermomechanical deformation at the nematic-to-isotropic transition temperature. During the reversible contraction and extension process, the LCE actuator containing 1-pyrenemethyl moieties showed stable photoluminescence, while for the LCE actuator doped with 4-bromo-2,6-bis-(1-methyl-benzimidazolyl)pyridine/Eu(III) complex, the PL emission was quenched at about 100°C, which was before the pillars contraction occurring at a higher temperature. When cooled down to room temperature, the contracted LCE micropillars recovered their original shape and the initial PL emission state. The micron-sized LCE actuators can be used for thermomechanical devices and machines with different PL functions at the same time. 相似文献

The critical part of the normal conducting (NC) positron preaccelerator (PPA) at the ILC positron source (PS) are capture
sections that should operate with an accelerating gradient of up to 15 MV/m in combination with long RF pulse (∼1 ms). Developed
at the Institute of Nuclear Research (INR) and now being constructed at DESY, the CDS booster cavity for the Photo Injector
Test facility, DESY, Zeuthen, will operate under the same conditions and is a full-scale, high-RF-power prototype of the PS
capture cavities. Cavity construction status and results of cavity tuning at a low RF level are presented. Other features
of the standing wave cavities for the PPA, such as RF pulsed heating, advanced cooling, and beam loading, are discussed.

The dynamical system arising in the study of nonlinear oscillations of a number of coupled Berger plates is considered. The dependence of the long-time behavior of the trajectories of the system on the properties of the coupling operator is studied. It is shown that the global attractor of the dynamical system is continuous with respect to the coupling parameter γ expressing the intensity of plate interaction. When γ→∞ it converges upper semicontinuously to the attractor of the system generated by the projection of the vector field of the coupled system on the kernel of the coupling operator. For the particular case of 3-diagonal coupling operator the synchronization phenomenon at the level of attractors is stated for large values of γ as well as the absence of synchronization for γ small. CoCl(2) containing honeycomb patterned films were prepared from cellulose acetate (CA)/CoCl(2)/acetone solutions by the breath figure method in a wide range of humidities. Size and pore regularity depend on the CA/CoCl(2) molar ratio and humidity. When replacing CoCl(2) with Co(NO(3))(2) or CoBr(2), no formation of ordered porosity in the cellulose acetate films is observed. According to data from scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Microanalysis (EDX), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, the key role in the formation of honeycomb structures can be attributed to the physical and chemical properties of CoCl(2) - hygroscopicity, low interaction with CA, and extraction from CA/CoCl(2)/acetone solution by water droplets condensed on the surface of the CA/CoCl(2) solution. Obtained films are prospective for using in catalysis, hydrogen fuel cells, and optical sensing materials. 相似文献

The effect of pH and binding of ten physiologically active compounds (PAC) on conformational organization of human serum albumin (HSA) in aqueous solutions has been studied using two different methods. The hydrodynamic sizes of albumin globule and its subunits were obtained from diffusion coefficients measured by quasi-elastic light scattering. The adiabatic volume compressibility of albumin was evaluated from ultrasonic velocity and density measurements. It was found, that albumin globule has the most compact configuration (hydrodynamic diameter 59-62 A and molar compressibility 5.6 m(3) Pa(-1) mol(-1)) at physiological pH 7.4. The changes in pH, both increase to 8.0 and decrease to 5.4, result in the growth of globule size to 68-81 A. An additional peak corresponding to diffusion of the separate albumin subdomains (hydrodynamic diameter 32-40 A) is observed in the light scattering spectra and globule compressibility decrease to 4.5-2.8 m(3) Pa(-1) mol(-1) at the acidic shift of pH. The additional peak was not displayed and globule compressibility increased to 6.4 m(3) Pa(-1) mol(-1) at the basic shift of pH. The acidic changes were attributed to unfolded and elastic conformation of albumin with a high motility of separate subdomains, whilst the basic changes correspond to a closed compressible configuration of albumin molecule. The interaction with propranolol, clonidine, phenylephrine, carbachol and tripeptide fMLP, which hinder adenylate cyclase (AdC) and activate Ca-polyphosphoinisitide (Ca-PPI) signaling system of a cell, initiates structural rearrangements similar to acidic transitions of albumin. Isoproterenol, yohimbine, diphenhydramine, chlorpromazine and atropine, which activate AdC and hinder Ca-PPI, cause conformational changes of albumin similar to basic transitions. The results obtained are consistent with the idea of structural and pharmacological similarity among the drugs inside the marked groups. 相似文献
