In this paper we report on a novel method for solving systems of nonlinear differential equations which is an extension of the spectral homotopy analysis method (SHAM). The proposed method extends the application of the SHAM to initial value problems that model the Michaelis-Menten enzymatic reaction equation. This paper is concerned with the semilocal convergence of a continuation method between two third-order iterative methods, namely, the Halley’s and the convex acceleration of Newton’s method, also known as the Super-Halley’s method. This convergence analysis is discussed using the recurrence relations approach. This approach simplifies the analysis and leads to improved results. The convergence analysis is established under the assumption that the second Frëchet derivative satisfies Lipschitz continuity condition. An existence-uniqueness theorem is given. Also, a closed form of error bound is derived in terms of a real parameter α ∈ [0, 1]. Two numerical examples are worked out to demonstrate the efficacy of our approach. On comparing the existence and uniqueness region and error bounds for the solution obtained by our analysis with those obtained by using majorizing sequences [15], we observed that our analysis gives better results. Further, we have observed that for particular values of the α, our analysis reduces to those for the Halley’s method (α = 0) and the convex acceleration of Newton’s method (α = 1), respectively, with improved results. 相似文献

The miscibility, mechanical and morphological properties of mixed Langmuir and Langmuir-Blodgett monolayers prepared from the phospholipid 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine and the perfluorinated fatty acid perfluorooctadecanoic acid have been studied as a function of film composition and subphase salinity. It was demonstrated here, for the first time, that the extent of surfactant miscibility in mixed phospholipid-perfluoroacid monolayers, and hence the resulting mechanical properties of the monolayer film, can be controlled by altering the concentration of sodium ions in the underlying subphase. Elevated Na(+) concentrations resulted in lower net attractive interactions between film components, likely through specific ion adsorption to the negatively-charged perfluoroacid, along with decreased film elasticities. These results differ significantly from conventional fatty-acid-carboxylate monolayer systems in which film cohesion is typically enhanced through adsorption of cations to surfactant headgroups. Atomic force microscope images of films deposited onto solid mica substrates revealed that the films deposited from pure water formed multimolecular aggregates of surfactant, which could be attributed to the highly cohesive nature of the films, but the use of salt in the subphase diminished aggregate formation and resulted in the production of homogeneous monolayer films. 相似文献

The synthesis of two new heterocycles is described: pyrido-[2,3-d]-.s-triazolo[ 3,4-f] pyrimidine and pyrido[3,2-d]-.s-triayzolo-[3,4-f] pyrimidine. 4-[I'-Pyrazolyl]pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidines and 4-[1′-pyrazoly1] pyrido[ 3,2-d] pyrimidine are obtained by the action of 4-hydrazinopyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine and 4-hydrazinopyrido-[3,2-d]pyrimidine with several β-diketones. 相似文献

In this paper, modifications of the quasilinearization method with higher-order convergence for solving nonlinear differential equations are constructed. A general technique for systematically obtaining iteration schemes of order m (?>?2) for finding solutions of highly nonlinear differential equations is developed. The proposed iterative schemes have convergence rates of cubic, quartic and quintic orders. These schemes were further applied to bifurcation problems and to obtain critical parameter values for the existence and uniqueness of solutions. The accuracy and validity of the new schemes is tested by finding accurate solutions of the one-dimensional Bratu and Frank-Kamenetzkii equations. 相似文献
