Synthesis and structures of complexes ofN-(2-aminoethyl)diaziridines with transition metal salts

A series of complexes ofN-(2-aminoethyl)diaziridines with transition metal salts (Zn²⁺, Cd²⁺, Ni²⁺, Co²⁺, Mn²⁺, or Fe²⁺) were synthesized. Their structures were established by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The structure of bis[1,2-bis(2-aminoethyl)diaziridine]cadmium(II) diperehlorate was confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. 1,5-Diazabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes and 1,6-diazabicyclo[4.1.0]heptanes: a new method for the synthesis,quantum-chemical calculations,and X-ray diffraction study

A new method was developed for the synthesis of 6-substituted 1,5-diazabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes and 7-substituted 1,6-diazabicyclo[4.1.0]heptanes by condensation of N-monohalotrimethylene- and N-monohalotetramethylenediamines with carbonyl compounds in the presence of bases. X-ray diffraction studies and quantum-chemical B3LYP/6-31G* calculations demonstrated that the conformations of the resulting bicyclic systems are stabilized by stereoelectronic interactions. As a result, a boat conformation prevails in 1,5-diazabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanes, whereas the energies of chair, half-chair, and boat conformations of 1,6-diazabicyclo[4.1.0]heptanes are equalized.     

Synthesis and structures of 5(3H)-oxotetrahydro-1H-imidazo[4,5-c][1,2,5]thiadiazole 2,2-dioxides

The reactions of sulfamides with 4,5-dihydroxyimidazolidin-2-ones were studied at ambient and high pressure. The previously unknown derivatives of 5(3H)-oxotetrahydro-1H-imidazo-[4,5-c][1,2,5]thiadiazole 2,2-dioxide, viz., sulfo analogs of tetrahydroimidazo[4,5-d]imidazole-2,5-(1H,3H) diones (glycolurils), were synthesized. The structures of some of these compounds were established by X-ray diffraction. The high-pressure reactions performed under conditions of solvent phase transitions afforded also N-(1,3-diethyl-5-hydroxy-2-oxoimidazolidin-4-yl)-N,N′-dialkylsulfamides.
