Magnetooptical investigation of the micromagnetic structure and magnetization processes in Co69Fe4Si12B15 amorphous microwires

Magnetooptical investigation of the micromagnetic structure of Co₆₉Fe₄Si₁₂B₁₅ amorphous microwires 10–50 μm in diameter is carried out. The existence of domains with transverse circumferential magnetization is experimentally demonstrated in the near-surface region of microwires. The dependence of the width of circular domains on the length and diameter of wires is obtained. It is shown that the near-surface micromagnetic structure of amorphous wires is changed under a stretch-induced stress. It is proved that the magnetization reversal of microwires in a longitudinal magnetic field occurs due to the rotation of local magnetization vectors in circular domains.     

Sorption of Lower Alcohols with Activated Charcoals

The features of sorption of ethanol, isopropanol, butanol, isobutanol, and tert-butanol with activated charcoals under static conditions were studied.     

Synthesis of 1,7-bis(4′-aminophenylamido)-m-carborane and 1,7-bis(4′-aminophenylcarboxy)-m-carborane

Conclusion 1,7-Bis(4-aminophenylamido)- and l,7-bis(4-aminophenylcarboxy)-m-carboranes were prepared and characterized.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 12, pp. 2786–2787, December, 1986.     

Synthesis of 1, 2-diazabicyclo [4.4.0] decane and its derivatives

A new heterocyclic system, 1, 2-diazabicyclo [4.4.0] decane is synthesized, starting from-(piperidyl-2) propionic acid. The latter is converted to-(1-nitrosopiperidyl-2)-propionic acid, and thence, via-(1-aminopiperidyl-2) propionic acid, to 3-keto-1, 2-diazabicyclo [4.4.0] decane. Derivatives of 1, 2-diazabicyclo [4.4.0] decane with a substituent at position 2 are prepared.     

Oligoribonucleotides containing an aminoalkyl group at the N(4) atom of cytosine as precursors of new reagents for site-specific modifications of biopolymers

A solid-phase H-phosphonate procedure was developed for the synthesis of oligoribonucleotides containing aliphatic amino linkers with different lengths at the N(4) atom of cytosine. The hybridization properties of modified oligoribonucleotides were studied. Thermal stability of the RNA—RNA* and DNA—RNA* duplexes depends on the position of modified cytosine in the chain and the type of the duplex.     

Nature of the active center in the cyclotrimerization of isocyanates catalyzed by the tertiary amine—α-oxide—protondonor system

The structure of the dimethylbenzylamine (DMBA)—phenylglyc idyl ether (PGE)—phenol complex was studied by IR and¹H NMR spectroscopy under various conditions of its formation. The active catalyst in the cyclotrimerization of isocyanates is a complex of composition DMBA : PGE : PhOH = 1 : 1 : 2, in which the oxygen atom of the zwitter-ion PhCH₂N⁺Me₂CH₂CH(O^–)CH₂OPh that forms after opening, of the epoxide cycle is bound to two phenol molecules by a very strong hydrogen bonds. In this complex, the oxygen atom of both the zwitter-ion and the phenolate anion can be catalytic centers. Two schemes of the cyclotrimerization of isocyanate in the presence of the aforementioned catalytic system are suggested, depending on whether the catalytic complex has time to form or not.For Part I, see Ref. 1.Deceased.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk.
