The effects of quantum fluctuations on the proton glass phase in mixed hydrogen-bonded ferro-antiferroelectric systems are considered. The system is described in terms of the infinite-ranged Ising pseudospin glass model in a transverse tunneling field in the presence of random parallel fields. The stability limit of the high-temperature proton glass phase is determined within the thermofield dynamic approach, and the behavior or linear and nonlinear susceptibility is evaluated.  相似文献

Excess and excess partial molar volumes of mixing of the system N,N-dibutyl-2-ethylhexylamide (DBEHA) + dodecanol (DDA) were determined at 25, 35, 45, 55 and 65°C. The excess molar volumes exhibit a maxima at each temperature at approximatelyx DBEHA = 0.3 and a minima close tox DBEHA = 0.9. The values of the excess volumes in general increase with the temperature. The partial excess molar volumes are calculated from the smoothed data and the results are discussed in the light of postulated amide-alcohol interactions.  相似文献

The relationship between the structure of monomer and kinetics of the radical polymerization of N-ethylmethacrylamide, N-butylmethacrylamide and N-phenylmethacrylamide in methanol and in dimethylsulphoxide was investigated. The reaction order with respect to initiator is 0·5 in all cases; the order with respect to monomer is independent of the type of substituent but depends on the solvent and on the viscosity of the reaction mixture. The polymerization rate, the value of κpt12, and the initiator efficiency decrease in the series N-phenylmethacrylamide, N-ethylmethacrylamide and N-butylmethacrylamide. The overall activation energy of polymerization for the monomers lies between 16 and 20 kcal/mol.  相似文献

Ampholytic membranes were synthesized by copolymerizing (2-hydroxyethyl)methacrylate as the hydrophilic component, methacrylic acid and (N,N-diethylaminoethyl)methacrylate as ionogenic components (both ionogenic monomers in amounts 2.5 mol% or 10 mol%), and ethylenedimethacrylate as the crosslinking agent (3,5 or 10 mol%). The effects of pH on the swelling and membrane potentials of the membranes were investigated. The dependence of the membrane potentials on pH is characterized by the position of the isoelectric point and by the slope of the straight part of the dependence. This slope reflects the attained degree of ideality of the membrane. By varying the degree of cross linking and the content of ionogenic components, it is possible to vary the pH-dependent response of the membranes.  相似文献

Juice made from sea-buckthorn berries (Hippophae rhamnoides L.) is a valuable source of bioactive compounds, vitamins, as well as micro- and macronutrients. By applying defatted sea-buckthorn juice, it is possible to enhance wheat beer and change its sensory properties and the contents of bioactive compounds in the finished product. A sensory assessment showed that wheat beers with a 5% v/v addition of sea-buckthorn juice were characterised by a balanced taste and aroma (overall impression). Physicochemical analyses showed that, compared to the control samples, wheat beers enhanced with defatted sea-buckthorn juice at a rate of 5% v/v or 10% v/v had high total acidity with respective mean values of 5.30 and 6.88 (0.1 M NaOH/100 mL), energy values lower on average by 4.04% and 8.35%, respective polyphenol contents of 274.1 mg GAE/L and 249.7 mg GAE/L, as well as higher antioxidant activity (measured using DPPH, FRAP, and ABTS assays). The findings show that the samples of wheat beer enhanced with sea-buckthorn juice had average ascorbic acid contents of 2.5 and 4.5 mg/100 mL (in samples with 5% v/v and 10% v/v additions, respectively) and contained flavone glycosides, e.g., kaempferol-3-O-glucuronide-7-O-hexoside. Based on the current findings, it can be concluded that wheat beer enhanced with sea-buckthorn juice could emerge as a new trend in the brewing industry.  相似文献

Conventional biomechanical analyses of human movement have been generally derived from linear mathematics. While these methods can be useful in many situations, they fail to describe the behavior of the human body systems that are predominately nonlinear. For this reason, nonlinear analyses have become more prevalent in recent literature. These analytical techniques are typically investigated using concepts related to variability, stability, complexity, and adaptability. This review aims to investigate the application of nonlinear metrics to assess postural stability. A systematic review was conducted of papers published from 2009 to 2019. Databases searched were PubMed, Google Scholar, Science-Direct and EBSCO. The main inclusion consisted of: Sample entropy, fractal dimension, Lyapunov exponent used as nonlinear measures, and assessment of the variability of the center of pressure during standing using force plate. Following screening, 43 articles out of the initial 1100 were reviewed including 33 articles on sample entropy, 10 articles on fractal dimension, and 4 papers on the Lyapunov exponent. This systematic study shows the reductions in postural regularity related to aging and the disease or injures in the adaptive capabilities of the movement system and how the predictability changes with different task constraints.  相似文献

Rectangular arrays of pyramidal recesses coated by silver film are investigated by means of polarization‐resolved nonlinear microscopy at 900 nm fundamental wavelength, demonstrating strong dependence of the dipole‐allowed SHG upon the lattice parameters. The plasmonic band gap causes nearly complete SHG suppression in arrays of 650 nm periodicity, whereas a sharp resonance at 550 nm periodicity is observed due to excitation of band edge Bloch states at fundamental frequency, accompanied by symmetry‐constrained interactions with similar modes at the second‐harmonic frequency. Additionally, coupling with modes at the bottom side of the silver film may lead to extraordinary optical transmission, opening a channel for SHG from the highly nonlinear GaAs substrate. Changing the lattice geometry enables SHG intensity modulation over three orders of magnitude, while the effective nonlinear anisotropy can be continuously switched between the two lattice directions, reaching values as high as ±0.96.

Petroleum, synthetic, and natural waxes have been used as hydrophobic bases for dispersions intended for use as barrier coatings for packaging paper. Oil-in-water dispersions with alkaline pH were prepared by a two-step homogenization procedure containing paraffin wax, with various characteristics, the Fischer–Tropsch synthesis product or beeswax. The size of the dispersed particles determined by dynamic light scattering depended on the type of hydrophobic base used and was in the range of 350–440 nm. The ability of dispersion particles in aggregation driven by electrostatic attraction, evaluated by Zeta potential analysis by electrophoretic light scattering, was from −26 to −50 mV. Static multiply light scattering was used for 30 days of stability assessment and helped to select the dispersion with a Sarawax SX70 wax base as the most stable. Dispersions were further used for coating the backing of kraft paper by the Meyer rod method. Coated paper with an applied coating of 6 g/m2 had very good hydrophobic properties (Cobb60 < 4 g/m2), sufficient strength properties, and air permeation, which enabled its application as a packaging material. The dispersions based on Sarawax SX70 wax were evaluated as the best coating for Mondi ProVantage Kraftliner 125 g/m2 backing paper. Good hydrophobic properties and strength properties indicate the possibility of using the SX70-based wax dispersion coating as a replacement for PFAS coatings in some applications.  相似文献
