A new synthetic pathway of A–B–A tri-block copolyether which is composed of a hydrophilic poly(oxyethylene) unit as an A part and a hydrophobic poly(oxy-2-methyl-trimethylene) unit as a B part is proposed. Telechelic α-tosyl-ω-tosyloxypoly(oxy-2-methyl-trimethylene) derived from tosylation of poly(oxy-2-methyl-trimethylene glycol) (PMTG) was allowed to react with poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) in the presence of sodium hydroxide. The structural analysis of amylose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) (ADMPC) was performed by NMR spectroscopy using a sample with a lower degree of polymerization in order to understand the chiral recognition mechanism when it was used as a chiral stationary phase (CSP) in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). ADMPC exhibited chiral discrimination for many enantiomers, including 1-(9-anthryl)-2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (1) and 1,1'-bi-2-naphthol (2) in both NMR and HPLC. A good agreement was observed between the HPLC and NMR results when chloroform was employed as the common solvent. The structure of ADMPC in solution was investigated by NMR using the 2D NOESY technique coupled with computer modeling, and a left-handed 4/3 helical structure was obtained as the most probable one. The binding geometry between ADMPC and the enantiomers of 1 was also investigated by (1)H NMR titration. On the basis of these results combined with molecular modeling, a rational model to explain the chiral discrimination mechanism of 1 on ADMPC was proposed. 相似文献

Chiral polythiophenes (PTs), in sharp contrast to other optically active polymers, exhibit optical activity in the pi-pi* transition region which is derived from the chirality of the main chain when they self-assemble to form a supramolecular pi-stacked aggregate with intermolecular interactions in a poor solvent or in a film. We now report that the regioregular, optically active PT poly[(R)-3-[4-(4-ethyl-2-oxazolin-2-yl)phenyl]thiophene] (poly-1) exhibits unique split-type induced circular dichroism (ICD) in the pi-pi* transition region of the main chain upon complexation with various metal salts such as trifluoromethanesulfonates of copper(I), copper(II), silver(I), and zinc(II), and iron(II) perchlorate in chloroform, which is a good solvent for poly-1. The appearance of ICD and slight changes in the UV/Vis spectra (no color change), except for the zinc salts, indicated that the chirality may not be induced by chiral pi-stacked aggregates of poly-1, but by the chirality of the main chain, for example, a predominantly one-handed helical structure induced by intermolecular coordination of the oxazoline groups to metal ions. The sign of the Cotton effect depends on the metal salt; most metal salts induced ICDs with similar Cotton-effect patterns, while zinc salts caused an inversion of the signs of the Cotton effect of poly-1 accompanied by a gradual red shift in the absorption of up to 125 nm. The changes in the conformation and the size of the poly-1 aggregates induced by different metal salts were also investigated by (1)H NMR titrations, static light scattering (SLS), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and membrane filtration. On the basis of these results, we propose a possible model for the chiral supramolecular aggregates of poly-1 with metal salts. 相似文献

Three novel dithienylethenes bearing azole derivatives were synthesized and found to undergo reversible photocyclization of the dithienylethene units upon alternate irradiation with UV and visible light. Among them, the dithienylethene-linked imidazole and N-phenylimidazole exhibited a relatively high organocatalytic activity for the acylation of 2-decanol with acetic anhydride, and the catalytic activity of the dithienylethene-linked imidazole could be switched by reversible photoinduced cyclization/cycloreversion of the dithienylethene unit. 相似文献

A novel 2,6‐anthrylene‐linked bis(m‐terphenylcarboxylic acid) strand ( 1 ) self‐associates into a racemic double‐helix. In the presence of chiral mono‐ and diamines, either a right‐ or left‐handed double‐helix was predominantly induced by chiral amines sandwiched between the carboxylic acid strands with accompanying stacking of the two prochiral anthracene linker units in an enantiotopic face‐selective way, as revealed by circular dichroism and NMR spectral analyses. The photoirradiation of the optically active double helices complexed with chiral amines proceeded in a diastereo‐ (anti or syn) and enantiodifferentiating way to afford the chiral anti‐photodimer with up to 98 % enantiomeric excess when (R)‐phenylethylamine was used as a chiral double‐helix inducer. The resulting optically active anti‐photodimer can recognize the chirality of amines and diastereoselectively complex with chiral amines. 相似文献

Poly[(4-carboxyphenyl)acetylene] (poly-1) exhibits an intense induced circular dichroism (ICD) in the UV-visible region upon complexation with excess (R)-1-(1-naphthyl)ethylamine ((R)-2), owing to the formation of a predominantly single-handed helical conformation of the polymer backbone. In the presence of a small amount of (R)-2, poly-1 showed a very weak ICD due to the lack of a single-handed helical conformation. However, we have found that the co-addition of the excess bulky, achiral 1-naphthylmethylamine (5) with a small amount of (R)-2 caused a dramatic increase in the ICD magnitude, comparable to the full ICD induced by excess (R)-2. This indicates that an almost single-handed helix can be induced on poly-1 upon complexation with a small amount of (R)-2 assisted by achiral 5. Furthermore, the induced single-handed helical poly-1 could be successfully memorized by the replacement of (R)-2 and 5 with achiral 2-aminoethanol or n-butylamine. 相似文献

We report on the oligosaccharide recognition through noncovalent interactions in water based on a unique supramolecular homoduplex-to-heteroduplex transformation of the oligoresorcinol nonamer as a fully artificial receptor. The oligoresorcinol forms a double helix in water, which unravels and entwines upon complexation with specific oligosaccharides with a particular chain length and glucosidic linkage pattern, thus generating the heteroduplex with an excess one-handed helical conformation that can be readily monitored and further quantified by absorption, circular dichroism, and NMR spectroscopies. 相似文献
