Concentration-cancellation for the velocity fields in two dimensional incompressible fluid flows

We show that the weak-L ² limit of a sequence of solutions of the two dimensional incompressible Euler equation is still a solution, provided that a (strong) concentration set for the reduced defect measure has locally finite one dimensional Hausdorff measure in space and time.     

拉曼放大器中放大的自发拉曼散射与拉曼开-关增益关系的研究

研究了拉曼放大器中放大的自发拉曼散射对拉曼开－关增益的影响，并提出了一种利用自发拉曼散射谱来调整拉曼放大器位曼开－关增益平坦的方法，实验采用4个波长为14xx nm的激光二极管作为抽运源，75km的G．652光纤作为传输介质，获得了C波段附近的光放大，同时对此给出了合理的理论解释。     

Diode-pumped 671 nm laser frequency doubled by CPM LBO

A design of diode-pumped high-efficiency Nd:YVO₄/LBO red laser is reported. Using critical phase-matching (CPM) LBO, 671 nm red laser was obtained from 1342 nm light by intracavity frequency doubling. With an incident pump laser of 800 mW, using type-I and type-II CPM LBO, 97 and 52 mWTEM₀₀ mode red laser outputs were obtained, with optical-to-optical conversion efficiencies of up to 12.1% and 6.5%, respectively.     

Laser induced copper electroless plating on polyimide with Q-switch Nd:YAG laser

The results of laser induced deposition of copper on polyimide substrate from copper electrolyte solution are reported. Unlike most work reported in the literatures where CW Ar⁺ lasers were used, a second harmonic (532 nm wavelength) Q-switch Nd:YAG laser was used for our experiments. The deposition process was conducted by laser-catalyzing of the polyimide surface and subsequent photothermal-accelerated reduction of copper-complex ions in an alkaline reducing environment. The characteristics of the deposited copper line were investigated in terms of laser beam scanning speed, and the number of scans. The surface morphology and chemical composition of the deposited copper were analyzed using field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDX). The optimum processing conditions have been identified. The copper deposit was found to adhere well to the substrate.

An Efficient Numerical Model for Planar Spiral Inductor On-Chip

In this paper, a very useful numerical technique has been developed for analyzing the transient characteristics of a planar-spiral inductor on-chip. A locally conformal technique and an alternating-direction implicit scheme are applied to the finite-difference time-domain method. A formulation for solving three dimensional Maxwell’s equations is proposed. Using the proposed method, various parameters of the planar-spiral inductors have been analyzed and an equivalent circuit, which includes frequency-independent circuit elements, has been introduced. Highly computational efficiency is implemented. Numerical results show excellent agreement with the measured data over a wide frequency range.     

Self‐assembly of amphiphilic tris(2,2′‐bipyridine)ruthenium‐cored star‐shaped polymers

Amphiphilic tris(2,2′‐bipyridine)ruthenium‐cored star‐shaped polymers consisting of one polystyrene block and two poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) blocks were prepared by the “arm‐first” method in which RAFT polymerization and nonconvalent ligand–metal complexation were employed. The prepared amphiphilic star‐shaped metallopolymers are able to form micelles in water. The size and distribution of the micelles were studied by dynamic light scattering and transmission electron microscopy techniques. Preliminary studies indicate that the polymer concentration and the hydrophilic poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) block length can affect the morphologies of the formed metal‐interfaced core–shell micelles in water. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Fast Si magic-angle-spinning NMR acquisitions by RAPT-CP Al → Si polarization transfer

Using enhancement of the ²⁷Al central-transition magnetization by applying RAPT prior to ²⁷Al → ²⁹Si cross-polarization, we demonstrate fast acquisition of ²⁹Si one-dimensional MAS and two-dimensional ²⁷Al–²⁹Si HETCOR spectra on a new sialon phase Ba₂Al₃Si₉N₁₃O₅.
