We report the first observation of a B meson decay that is not accessible by a direct spectator process. The channel B(0)-->D(+)(s)K- is found in a sample of 85 x 10(6) BB; events, collected with the Belle detector at KEKB, with a branching fraction B(B(0)-->D(+)(s)K-)=(4.6(+1.2)(-1.1)+/-1.3) x 10(-5). We also obtain evidence for the B0-->D(+)(s)pi(-) decay with branching fraction B(B0-->D(+)(s)pi(-))=(2.4(+1.0)(-0.8)+/-0.7) x 10(-5). This value may be used to extract a model-dependent value of |V(ub)|. 相似文献

We report a determination of the B(0)(d)-&B_(0)(d) mixing parameter Deltam(d) based on the time evolution of dilepton yields in Upsilon(4S) decays. The measurement is based on a 5.9 fb(-1) data sample collected by the Belle detector at KEKB. The proper-time difference distributions for same-sign and opposite-sign dilepton events are simultaneously fitted to an expression containing Deltam(d) as a free parameter. Using both muons and electrons, we obtain Deltam(d) = 0.463+/-0.008 (stat)+/-0.016 (syst) ps(-1). This is the first determination of Deltam(d) from time evolution measurements at the Upsilon(4S). The electron-phonon interaction in the periodic Anderson model (PAM) is considered. The PAM incorporates the effect of onsite
Coulomb interaction (U) between f-electrons. The influence of Coulomb correlation U on the phonon response of the system is studied by evaluating the phonon spectral function for various parameters of the
model. The numerical evaluation of the spectral function is carried out in the long wavelength limit at finite temperatures
keeping only linear terms in U. The observed behaviour is found to agree well with the general features obtained experimentally for some heavy fermion (HF)

A relativistic model of independent quarks based on Dirac equation with an equally mixed scalar-vector square root confining
potential is used to compute the quark core contributions to the static properties like magnetic moments, charge radii and
axial vector coupling constant ratios of the baryon octet. The results obtained with appropriate corrections due to centre-of-mass
motion agree fairly well with experimental values. The model is also extended to the study of magnetic moments of the quark

We show that dopant impurities can be introduced in a controlled, site-specific manner into pre-deposited semiconducting boron carbide films. B―N bond formation has been characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy for semiconducting B10C2Hx films exposed to vacuum ultraviolet photons in the presence of NH3. Core level photoemission data indicate that B―NH2 bonds are formed at B sites bonded to other boron atoms (B―B), and not at boron atoms adjacent to carbon atoms (B―C) or at carbon atom sites. Nitridation obeys diffusion-limited kinetics. These results indicate that dopant species can be introduced in a controlled, site-specific manner into pre-deposited boron carbide films, as opposed to currently required dopant incorporation during the deposition process. 相似文献

Zinc oxide (ZnO) and Cu-doped ZnO (CZO) thin films were prepared on borosilicate glass substrates by spray pyrolysis technique. The X-ray diffraction study revealed that Cu doping caused a reduction in crystallite size. AFM study showed an increase in roughness with doping. This is attributed to the aggregation of particles to form clusters. From transmission electron microscopy analysis, the particle size is measured to be in the range 30–65 nm (average particle size 48 nm) for undoped ZnO, whereas it is in the range 24–56 nm (average particle size 40 nm) for CZO film. The electrical resistivity of the thin films was investigated in the presence of air as well as N2 mixed air at different temperatures in the range 30–270 °C. The change in resistivity properties was explained on the basis of conduction phenomena within the grain along with the grain boundaries as well as Cu- and N2-induced defect states. The thermal activation energy of ZnO was found to be in the range 0.04–0.7 eV and dependent on Cu doping and N2 level in air. 相似文献

Zinc oxide doped with Al (AZO) thin films were prepared on borosilicate glass substrates by dip and dry technique using sodium zincate bath. Effects of doping on the structural and optical properties of ZnO film were investigated by XRD, EPMA, AFM, optical transmittance, PL and Raman spectroscopy. The band gap for ZnO:Al (5.0 at. wt.%) film was found to be 3.29 eV compared with 3.25 eV band gap for pure ZnO film. Doping with Al introduces aggregation of crystallites to form micro-size clusters affecting the smoothness of the film surface. Al3+ ion was found to promote chemisorption of oxygen into the film, which in turn affects the roughness of the sample. Six photoluminescence bands were observed at 390, 419, 449, 480, 525 and 574 nm in the emission spectra. Excitation spectra of ZnO film showed bands at 200, 217, 232 and 328 nm, whereas bands at 200, 235, 257 and 267 nm were observed for ZnO:Al film. On the basis of transitions from conduction band or deep donors (CB, Zni or VOZni) to valence band and/or deep acceptor states (VB, VZn or Oi or OZn), a tentative model has been proposed to explain the PL spectra. Doping with Al3+ ions reduced the polar character of the film. This has been confirmed from laser Raman studies. 相似文献

Although often used in molecular dynamics, in this work the Manning–Rosen potential is parameterized to compute the scattering phase shifts for the nucleon–nucleon and the alpha-nucleon systems by exploiting the standard phase function method. We address a model study which includes the co-existence of the charge density wave (CDW) and ferromagnetic interactions in order to explain the colossal magnetoresistance (CMR) in manganites. The Hamiltonian consists of the ferromagnetic Hund's rule exchange interaction between eg and t2g spins, Heisenberg core spin interactions and the CDW interaction present in the eg band electrons. The core electron magnetization, induced eg electron magnetization and the CDW gap are calculated using Zubarev's Green's function technique and determined self-consistently. The effect of core electron magnetization and the CDW interaction on the induced magnetization as well as on the occupation number in the different spin states of the eg band electrons are investigated by varying the model parameters of the system like the CDW coupling, the exchange coupling, the Heisenberg coupling and the external field. It is observed that the induced magnetization exhibits re-entrant behaviour and exists within a narrow temperature range just below the Curie temperature. This unusual behaviour of the eg band electrons will throw some new insights on the physical properties of the manganite systems. 相似文献

The half-lives of proton radioactivity of proton emitters are investigated theoretically. Proton-nucleus interaction potentials
are obtained by folding the densities of the daughter nuclei with a finite-range effective nucleon-nucleon interaction having
Yukawa form. The Wood-Saxon density distributions for the nuclei used in calculating the nuclear as well as the Coulomb interaction
potentials are predictions of the interaction. The quantum mechanical tunneling probability is calculated within the WKB framework.
These calculations provide reasonable estimates for the observed proton radioactivity lifetimes. The effects of neutron-proton
effective mass splitting in neutron-rich asymmetric matter as well as the nuclear matter incompressibility on the decay probability
