Acetals are obtained in good yields by treatment of aldehydes and ketones with trialkyl orthoformate and the corresponding alcohol in the presence of 0.1 mol % Bi(OTf)3.4H2O. A simple procedure for the formation of acetals of diaryl ketones has also been developed. The conversion of carbonyl compounds to the corresponding 1,3-dioxolane using ethylene glycol is also catalyzed by Bi(OTf)3.4H2O (1 mol %). Two methods, both of which avoid the use of benzene, have been developed.  相似文献

A single-shot and synchronously-scanned streak camera, autocorrelation and noise spectrum analysing techniques are utilized to study the output characteristics of synchronously mode-locked cw lasers. Four main conclusions are drawn: (i) the pulse train from a synchronously-pumped dye laser reveals, besides phase jitter, considerable pulse shape fluctuations; (ii) autocorrelation measurements may be highly misleading when actual pulse shapes are considered; (iii) both the phase jitter and pulse shape fluctuations of the dye laser output are caused by the phase fluctuations of the pumping ion laser pulse train; (iv) the phase jitter of the ion laser proceeds from the fluctuations in the cavity roundtrip time with a characteristic time of about 5 s. Under optimum conditions the rms noise of the dye laser output was 2% and the phase jitter with respect to the rf sine drive of the acousto-optical mode-locker, 30 ps. A qualitative explanation fo the noise properties is given.  相似文献

Water is always present in laser processing in air: as vapor, condensate or adsorbate. Water is the working environment in underwater processing—but it can also be added on purpose to gain better results: to avoid redeposition of debris, to cool the material, to increase plasma pressure or to conduct light. Water can also act as a chemical reagent. The first part of the article will review the advantages and disadvantages of laser processing in the presence of water, light transmission by water, and the two most mature methods of water-assisted laser processing: steam cleaning and shock processing.  相似文献

The reduction of ammonium pertechnetate with bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm), and with diphenyl-2-pyridyl phosphine (Ph(2)Ppy), has been investigated. The neutral Tc(II) complex, trans-TcCl(2)(dppm)(2) (1), has been isolated from the reaction of (NH(4))[TcO(4)] with excess dppm in refluxing EtOH/HCl. Chemical oxidation with ferricinium hexafluorophosphate results in formation of the cationic Tc(III) analogue, trans-[TcCl(2)(dppm)(2)](PF(6)) (2). The dppm ligands adopt the chelating bonding mode in both complexes, resulting in strained four member metallocycles. With excess PhPpy, the reduction of (NH(4))[TcO(4)] in refluxing EtOH/HCl yields a complex with one chelating Ph(2)Ppy ligand and one unidentate Ph(2)Ppy ligand, mer-TcCl(3)(Ph(2)Ppy-P,N)(Ph(2)Ppy-P) (3). The cationic Tc(III) complexes, trans-[TcCl(2)(Ph(2)P(O)py-N,O)(2)](PF(6)) (4) and trans-[TcCl(2)(dppmO-P,O)(2)](PF(6)) (5) (Ph(2)P(O)py = diphenyl-2-pyridyl phosphine monoxide and dppmO = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane monoxide), have been isolated as byproducts from the reactions of (NH(4))[TcO(4)] with the corresponding phosphine. The products have been characterized in the solid state and in solution via a combination of single-crystal X-ray crystallography and spectroscopic techniques. The solution state spectroscopic results are consistent with the retention of the bonding modes revealed in the crystal structures.  相似文献

Differentiation of functions w.r.t. finite atomless measures with compact support on the real line is introduced. The related harmonic calculus is similar to that of the classical Lebesgue case. The optical activity of conjugated dienes is investigated by means of ab initio SCF–CI calculations. The computed electronic spectrum of trans-1,3-butadiene is shown to be in good agreement with the results of more rigorous calculations of the valence transitions and in satisfactory agreement with experiment. The optical rotatory strengths of the lower electronic transitions of twisted 1,3-butadiene as a function of dihedral angle are presented and simulated CD spectra are produced. The NV12 → π3*) transition is predicted to have a positive rotational strength for all dihedral angles that correspond to a right-handed twist of the chromophore, in accord with the empirically deduced “diene rule” although for a twist angle of 60°, the rotatory strength is calculated to be almost zero. The role of the orientation of allylic bonds is investigated in the model system 1-butene in which the rotational strength of the π → π* transition as a function of rotation about the 2,3 bond is determined. The effect of allylic bond disposition in dienes on the optical activity of the long-wavelength π2 → π3* transition is simulated by use of the exciton coupling model of Harada and Nakanishi in which two 1-butene molecules with suitable geometries are coupled via interactions of the electric dipole transition moments of their π → π* transitions. The model systems 1,3-butadiene and 1-butene are used to rationalize the apparently anomalous optical activity of (?)-α-phellandrene and (?)-β-phellandrene, both of which should have a diene chromophore with a right-handed twist in their most stable conformers and so should be dextrorotatory. The experimental CD spectrum of α-phellandrene is determined at several temperatures down to ?180°C. The observed variation of the apparent rotational strength of the NV1 transition is in good agreement with that predicted by use of the exciton coupling model.  相似文献

It is reasonable to expect that the geometrical feature of a body has influence to spectral asymptotics of its “natural” Laplacian as well as to the behavior of its “natural” Brownian motion. In fact, such an interaction can be expressed by a so–called “Einstein relation” implicating Hausdorff, spectral and walk dimension. Iron is one of the most abundant metals found in senile plaques of post mortem patients with Alzheimer's disease. However, the interaction mode between iron ions and β-amyloid peptide as well as their precise affinity is unknown. In this study we apply ab initio computational methodology to calculate binding energies of Fe(2+/3+) with the His13-His14 sequence of Aβ, as well as other important ligands such as His6 and Tyr10. Calculations were carried out at the "MP2/6-311+G(2df,2p)"//B3LYP/6-31+G(d) level of theory and solvent effects included by the IEFPCM procedure. Several reaction paths for the binding of imidazole, phenol, and the His13-His14 fragment (modeled by N-(2-(1H-imidazol-4-yl)ethyl)-3-(1H-imidazol-4-yl)propanamide) were sequentially explored. The results show that the most stable complexes containing His13-His14 and phenolate of Tyr10 are the pentacoordinated [Fe(2+)(O-HisHis)(PhO(-))(H(2)O)](+) and [Fe(3+)(N-HisHis)(PhO(-))(H(2)O)](+) compounds and that simultaneous coordination of tyrosine and His13-His14 to Fe(2+/3+) is thermodynamically favorable in water at physiological pH. Computed Raman spectra confirm the conclusion obtained by Miura et al. ( Biochemistry 2000 , 39 , 7024 ) that tyrosine is coordinated to Fe(3+) but do not exclude coordination of imidazoles. Finally, calculations of standard reduction potentials indicate that phenol coordination reduces the redox activity of the iron/Aβ complexes.  相似文献
