Time-resolved cavity ringdown (τ-CRD) spectroscopy has been applied to monitor the silyl (SiH3) radicals and nanoparticles in a pulsed very high frequency (VHF) silane-hydrogen plasma under microcrystalline silicon (μc-Si:H) deposition conditions. The measured cavity loss reveals four time intervals (I up to VI) in the first 4 s of the plasma pulse. By variation of the laser wavelength, it is demonstrated that the small cavity loss at 220 nm reflects the SiH3 absorption in interval I. In intervals II and III, an additional cavity loss appears. This additional cavity loss corresponds to Rayleigh and Mie scattering by growing nanoparticles. Interval IV reflects the loss of nanoparticles between the electrodes during the afterglow of the plasma pulse. The evolution of the nanoparticle generation determined from the τ-CRD measurements are further confirmed by additional scanning electron microscopy analyses on the nanoparticles created in the plasma pulse.  相似文献

It is shown that the zeros of the Faber polynomials generated by a regular -star are located on the -star. This proves a recent conjecture of J. Bartolomeo and M. He. The proof uses the connection between zeros of Faber polynomials and Chebyshev quadrature formulas.

Flow-through electrochemical conversion (EC) of drug-like molecules was hyphenated to miniaturized nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR) via on-line solid-phase extraction (SPE). After EC of the prominent p38α mitogen-activated protein kinase inhibitor BIRB796 into its reactive products, the SPE step provided preconcentration of the EC products and solvent exchange for NMR analysis. The acquisition of NMR spectra of the mass-limited samples was achieved in a stripline probe with a detection volume of 150 nL offering superior mass sensitivity. This hyphenated EC–SPE–stripline-NMR setup enabled the detection of the reactive products using only minute amounts of substrate. Furthermore, the integration of conversion and detection into one flow setup counteracts incorrect assessments caused by the degradation of reactive products. However, apparent interferences of the NMR magnetic field with the EC, leading to a low product yield, so far demanded relatively long signal averaging. A critical assessment of what is and what is not (yet) possible with this approach is presented, for example in terms of structure elucidation and the estimation of concentrations. Additionally, promising routes for further improvement of EC–SPE–stripline-NMR are discussed.  相似文献

To prevent systematic errors in quantitative brain perfusion studies using dynamic susceptibility contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DSC-MRI), a reliable determination of the arterial input function (AIF) is essential. We propose a novel algorithm for correcting distortions of the AIF caused by saturation of the peak amplitude and discuss its relevance for longitudinal studies. The algorithm is based on the assumption that the AIF can be separated into a reliable part at low contrast agent concentrations and an unreliable part at high concentrations. This unreliable part is reconstructed, applying a theoretical framework based on a transport-diffusion theory and using the bolus-shape in the tissue. A validation of the correction scheme is tested by a Monte Carlo simulation. The input of the simulation was a wide range of perfusion, and the main aim was to compare this input to the determined perfusion parameters. Another input of the simulation was an AIF template derived from in vivo measurements. The distortions of this template was modeled via a Rician distribution for image intensities. As for a real DSC-MRI experiment, the simulation returned the AIF and the tracer concentration-dependent signal in the tissue. The novel correction scheme was tested by deriving perfusion parameters from the simulated data for the corrected and the uncorrected case. For this analysis, a common truncated singular value decomposition approach was applied. We find that the saturation effect caused by Rician-distributed noise leads to an overestimation of regional cerebral blood flow and regional cerebral blood volume, as compared to the input parameter. The aberration can be amplified by a decreasing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) or an increasing tracer concentration. We also find that the overestimation can be successfully eliminated by the proposed saturation-correction scheme. In summary, the correction scheme will allow DSC-MRI to be expanded towards higher tracer concentrations and lower SNR and will help to increase the measurement to measurement reproducibility for longitudinal studies.  相似文献

A systematic experimental evaluation of several approaches to multiple-quantum MAS NMR was performed for spin-5/2 nuclei using (27)Al NMR of the aluminosilicate andalusite and the porous aluminum phosphate AlPO(4)-14 as model. Experiments were conducted in the fields of 9.4 and 17.6T using magic-angle spinning frequencies up to 30kHz and rf-field strengths of 250 and 120kHz. Numerical SIMPSON optimizations of the NMR parameters were performed alongside the experimental evaluations. Both theory and experiment show that the optimization is most critical for the species in the sample that have the largest quadrupolar coupling constant. For 5QMAS experiments it could be confirmed that the highest available rf-field strength and rotation frequency are favorable for the efficiency of the experiments. For 3QMAS experiments of sites with moderate quadrupolar coupling constants optimum results were obtained at less stringent conditions. The comparison of a FAM II-modification and DFS gave the expected improvement by a factor of about two with respect to a rectangular pulse. No significant difference between these techniques concerning the signal-to-noise ratios was obtained. An actual improvement of the isotropic resolution by a factor of about two was obtained going from 3QMAS to 5QMAS. In addition the resolution of the spectra increases by a factor of about two going from 9.4 to 17.6T.  相似文献

Lucifer yellow and lissamine rhodamine sulfonyl hydrazine were used as the donor and the receptor, respectively, for Förster energy transfer measurements to determine the location of the subunit in the native Na,K-ATPase from pig kidney. It was found that (1) the subunits are located in one functional complex, i.e., the dimer ()2 appears to be the functional complex of Na,K-ATPase, and (2) the subunits in the functional enzyme complex in the membrane are not located next to each other but are rather well separated. The distance between fluorophores covalently attached to the subunits was found to be 5.3 nm.  相似文献

This paper deals with numerical approximation of the two-dimensional Poincaré equation that arises as a model for internal wave motion in enclosed containers. Inspired by the hyperbolicity of the equation we propose a discretisation particularly suited for this problem, which results in matrices whose size varies linearly with the number of grid points along the coordinate axes. Exact solutions are obtained, defined on a perturbed boundary. Furthermore, the problem is seen to be ill-posed and there is need for a regularisation scheme, which we base on a minimal-energy approach.  相似文献
