Solid-phase parallel synthesis of 1,3,4-oxadiazole based peptidomimetic library as a potential modulator of protein-protein interactions

Design and solid phase synthesis of the 1,3,4-oxadiazole based peptidomimetic library is presented. Library synthesis starts from the coupling of the thiosemicarbazide resin with Fmoc-protected amino acid following desulfurative cyclization to 1,3,4-oxadiazoles. Following substitution of the secondary amine with the 3-nitrobenzoyl functional group and its further reduction were performed. Thus, the functionalization with amino acids could be performed on both sides of the core skeleton. After diversification and cleavage from the resin using TFA: DCM cleavage cocktail, an enantiopure library of compounds was obtained. Further evaluation of physicochemical properties was performed.

Electrical conductivity of solutions of copper(II) nitrate crystalohydrate in dimethyl sulfoxide

Conductometry is used to investigate the electric conductivity of Cu(NO₃)₂ ? 3Н₂О solutions in dimethyl sulfoxide in the 0.01–2.82 M range of concentrations and at temperatures of 288–318 K. The limiting molar conductivity of the electrolyte and the mobility of Cu²⁺ and NO₃^- ions, the effective coefficients of diffusion of copper(II) ions and nitrate ions, and the degree and constant of electrolytic dissociation are calculated for different temperatures from the experimental results. It is established that solutions containing 0.1–0.6 M copper nitrate trihydrate in DMSO having low viscosity and high electrical conductivity can be used in electrochemical deposition.     

CGHS Black Hole Analog Moving Mirror and Its Relativistic Quantum Information as Radiation Reaction

The Callan–Giddings–Harvey–Strominger black hole has a spectrum and temperature that correspond to an accelerated reflecting boundary condition in flat spacetime. The beta coefficients are identical to a moving mirror model, where the acceleration is exponential in laboratory time. The center of the black hole is modeled by the perfectly reflecting regularity condition that red-shifts the field modes, which is the source of the particle creation. In addition to computing the energy flux, we find the corresponding moving mirror parameter associated with the black hole mass and the cosmological constant in the gravitational analog system. Generalized to any mirror trajectory, we derive the self-force (Lorentz–Abraham–Dirac), consistently, expressing it and the Larmor power in connection with entanglement entropy, inviting an interpretation of acceleration radiation in terms of information flow. The mirror self-force and radiative power are applied to the particular CGHS black hole analog moving mirror, which reveals the physics of information at the horizon during asymptotic approach to thermal equilibrium.     

Secondary Metabolites and Their Cytotoxic Activity of Artemisia nitrosa Weber. and Artemisia marschalliana Spreng.

As a promising source of biologically active substances, the Artemisia species from Kazakhstan have not been investigated efficiently. Considering the rich history, medicinal values, and availability of the Artemisia plants, systematic investigations of two Artemisia species growing in the East Kazakhstan region were conducted. In this study, one new germacrane-type sesquiterpene lactone (11), together with 10 known sesquiterpenes and its dimer, were characterized from A. nitrosa Weber. Additionally, one new chromene derivative (1’) with another 12 known compounds, including coumarins, sesquiterpene diketones, phenyl propanoids, polyacetylenics, dihydroxycinnamic acid derivatives, fatty acids, naphthalene derivatives, flavones, and caffeic acid derivatives were isolated from A. marschalliana Spreng. All compounds were isolated and identified for the first time from these two Artemisia species. The structures of new compounds (11, 1’) were established by using UV, TOFMS, LC–MS, 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic analyses. The cytotoxicity of all isolated compounds was evaluated. As a result, all compounds did not show significant inhibition against HL-60 and A-549 cell lines. The sesquiterpenoids isolated from A. nitrosa were tested for their inhibitory activity against the LPS-induced NO release from the RAW624.7 cells, and neither of them exhibited significant activity.
